My Honest Review of SPACES Hollywood I read both the good and bad reviews before moving in, and here's my real experience after settling in. I am doing a long review because I am a tenant. 1. Reception & Cleaning Staff The reception team is relatively new, and they're excellent -- warm, friendly, cheerful, and genuinely helpful. They go out of their way to assist with things that aren't even part of their normal duties. Roxy, who handles cleaning, is fantastic. She never misses taking out the trash and keeps the bathrooms and kitchen areas spotless. 2. Management The manager is rarely around. I only had one negative interaction with him early on, when he walked into my office without knocking during a lunch meeting and rudely told me I couldn't have a guest. It was unprofessional. I've since moved into a private office, so it's no longer an issue, and I haven't dealt with him since. 3. The Space & Amenities The physical space is very nice -- modern, clean, updated, and bright. The AC works great, the internet is fast (over 100 Mbps up/down) with both strong WiFi and CAT 6 Ethernet ports. The furniture is stylish, comfortable, and provided at no extra cost. The standout feature is the Eccellenza Touch espresso machine. It makes café-quality espresso, cappuccinos, mochas, and more -- up to 12 oz -- for just $1 per drink. It's honestly comparable to Starbucks, and they even provide real ceramic mugs. 4. Accounting & Billing It's a bit unconventional, but once the reception team explained it, everything made sense. It's been accurate and straightforward so far -- actually easier than dealing with traditional accounting departments. 5. Building & Maintenance There was one brief elevator outage, but management notified us immediately and had it fixed within a couple of hours. Since it's only a three-story building, taking the stairs wasn't a problem. The stairwells are clean and well-lit. 6. Parking Parking costs $250/month, which is standard for Hollywood. The big plus is the 30 EV charging stations run by PowerFlex. The rate per kWh is reasonable (same or cheaper than most public chargers). As someone who just bought an EV with no home charger, this has been a huge advantage. 7. Community The other tenants are professional, quiet, and friendly. It's a nice mix of "Hollywood beautiful people" who actually respect the space. I've experienced none of the theft, noise, or other issues mentioned in older reviews. *** Overall *** SPACES Hollywood isn't the cheapest option, but it's a clean, modern, well-run space in a great location. The recent improvements with the reception staff seem to have resolved most of the past problems. Love the space here. There are different packages here. 24/7 access ranging from basic estimated $250+ private offices $900ish (varies by promotion. It's a beautiful location overseeing the Hollywood records building. The staff in the front is pleasant! I expressed my concerns to David (the leasing specialist) in the process of that, he disrespected me. My experience started off very nice with the day pass, but didn't end well through his demeanor he displayed haha It's bad conduct on spaces part but good for me anyways, through that call at least I know where not to invest in! When consumers express their needs/concerns without demonstrating any disrespect or tone, not sure why someone in his position would feel challenged by that, it's already showing poor leadership, why would I want to do business with any entity that lacks consideration and bashes your reasonable concerns. Although it was nice, everyone else was great as far, if it means I have to constantly deal with someone like that on a daily biases, I would not recommend to anyone. Respect is number one even if you disagree, consumers and prospects look out for the best interest for their business. While I was there, there was one other rude co working tenant there. I'm not angry, it's important you choose your working environment correctly, in some cases it if your don't speak up, it may benefit the company's pockets while hurt your businesses needs! Imagine getting bashed/disrespected by the leasing specialist for looking out for your business needs without expressing disrespect! I'm not angry, it's every prospect's/clients job to look at all the details. You don't want to choose a co working space/investment just because it's cute, get to the know the people occupying the spaces, there's the people you will be around the most, see what the price and what if includes, the last thing leasing specialist should be doing is disrespecting anyone, if we don't get value in return for what we pay, we won't return. That's not being emotional that's business. He gave me his opinion about me like it was tag, I'm looking for a co working space you're not. Definitely not professional especially taking into account that this is a business matter. Good location but that's where the positive ends. We need to bridge a 5hr with an office. At about $180 that seemed a fair price for us. But after I would feel ripped of at $18! We arrive in time, the parking attendant can't express a word, but he's not connected to Spaces. We try to figure out where to go and find the lobby, an unattended desk. I call the number on my reservation and a guy comes down. We and another group get put in an elevator and just walk away. Uh... now what? The doors close and open again and some of us leave like "what's happening?" he comes back, rolls his eyes and badges in, presses a number and let's us go upstairs. Finally you think? Wrong! Upstairs is a reception, a girl is talking to a customer about a dispute. Sure, we'll wait. We wait. And wait. And wait. A second girl comes to help us. She checks us in and leaves. No "this is where you go", just here's a badge. So we wait some more. The first girl looks at us as if we've never been there before. So I explain what's going on and how it's now long after our check in time and we're still here. She shows us the office but the badge doesn't work. The office is freezing, there's dirty dishes there, someone has been eating there Cookie Monster style, crumbs are everywhere. One of us gets on a call and I go back downstairs to complain about the cold, the dirt,... First girl rolls her eyes again at me. The badge is supposed to be like that. So if you have to use the restroom, you go back downstairs and get their help to let you back in. I have to convince here to let us move. One of us is on a call already, wearing a jacket sitting in a fridge, when she finds a new office for us. We gather our stuff and she's just gone! I have to go find her in another office! This one is better, good temperature, not very comfortable but ok. At the end of our day, we gather our stuff and take it back to the car. I go return the badge and again nobody is at the desk. That can happen, but 5-10-15 minutes pass. I am so fed up with them already and again 0 respect for customers or our time. Never again! Not for free! I rented a private office on the 2nd floor for ~9 months starting in late 2024. My experience was OK getting started, but went downhill pretty quickly. Normal bad - Internet service was out for 12+ hours on multiple occasions - One of two elevators is constantly out of service. And as many ppl use the building commercially, the in service elevator is taken up by large deliveries and people moving in / out. I often waited 5 min. (Stairs are in awful locations with broken badge readers) - Cleaning is inconsistent. I would come back from the weekend to find my trash from last week. Bad bad - Someone broke into our floor over the weekend and was poking around offices. - There was a screaming and physical fight on my floor ... for which security never intervened. - My neighbor was obviously living in his office some days. (I'd arrive at 8am and hear snoring). - Walls are so thin I could hear sensitive contact negotiating with TV studios, gossip about executive cabinet members, and hear crying during therapy appointment. - And the worst, is this crew of obnoxious TikTok product hucksters who run their QVC knockoff channels at Spaces. They are loud, rude, and run around with impunity. Spaces staff seems unable to control them. Look, I lasted 9 months. But I dont think you should bother starting here. read more

I'm a new tenant at the above-referenced location. I've just had a very problematic interaction with your onsite manager, Pamela. There had been some confusion on my part around the way your billing system works (as it is not the way a traditional American company operates). So, I went up to the center to move in, and after being helped by both Mali and Pamela, I was cleared to move in. This morning, I awoke to attempted charges on my company credit card, despite being told in person by Pamela yesterday that I was all paid up. In an attempt to resolve it with Pamela over the phone, she was rude, disrespectful, dismissive, lied multiple times, wanted me to listen to her but when it was my turn to talk, she talked over me, and after threatening me, she eventually hung up the phone on me. As a business owner and a current law student, I'm keenly aware how misconceptions or misunderstandings easily arise in the regular course of business. However, it is never ok for a manager to behave in this way toward an incoming tenant. I now must be extremely careful in my dealings with her because I cannot trust that she will tell the truth, own up to her mistakes, and apologize. I should not have to be subjected to this kind of treatment. I really love everything about the space I've contracted for, and I just wanted to partner with a company that operates in integrity, honesty, and the respect everyone wants for themselves. Unfortunately, it seems that I will not be able to receive that here and will have to "watch my back" until my contract is up. UPDATE: Later this same day, I corresponded with a Marcos Jara Ruiz, their Deputy City Manager for Los Angeles via email, who instead of asking any questions or taking any accountability for the issues caused by his staff and his company's business practices, he instead indirectly accused me of cursing at his employee (neither she nor I cursed, but apparently, she lied and said I did), and sought to overcharge me for access to the space that I don't yet have. Extremely disappointing and disheartening, but they will be held to their contractual obligations and standards of business professionalism. read more

Stay far, FAR away from SPACES Hollywood. I signed up for a month-to-month dedicated desk. On day ONE, several items were stolen from my desk (I'm pretty sure by the staff, since I shared a locked office with a few great people). I was never reimbursed for the items, and later found out that every single other person in my office regularly had items stolen. The SPACES sales person was really shady and not upfront about the terms and charges incurred in joining. He told me that I could cancel at any time, as long as I put in one months notice. When I tried to cancel in the middle of February, they said I would be charged through March 31. They also tacked on a random $299 fee at signing (that I was not informed of). Months after cancelling the account, they still refuse to refund that fee. I canceled SPACES on February 19, and now 2 months later, they're STILL CHARGING ME for the monthly membership. I tried canceling over email, over the phone, and over the online portal. Nothing sticks. Finally, I contacted my credit card company to dispute the charges. Now SPACES is invoicing me for 'administration charges' and 'Amex chargebacks'. What a joke!! This place is scam city!!! I urge anyone looking for a coworking space to try WeWork, Industrious -- literally anywhere else. If you do want to take advantage of Space's relatively low monthly cost, CHECK YOUR CREDIT CARD STATEMENTS regularly, because they WILL charge you for stuff you didnt sign up for. SPACES Hollywood has sleek and modern decor, a great location, and their in-house staff -- Pamela and Ricardo-- are very friendly and helpful. The site has various indoor and outdoor work areas, including booths, lounges, and individual and communal tables. You can also find phone booths, meeting rooms and offices there. Their amazing terrace and rooftop have breathtaking views of the iconic Capitol Records building and abundant seating where you can work, relax or eat. I find this co-working space to be the perfect spot to get my work done and also enjoy quintessential LA views and weather. read more

I prefer to write positive reviews. - I will start with the positive. The front desk staff are nice. The negative - I moved out and submitted paperwork for the return of my $2199 deposit 2 months ago. I have sent multiple subsequent emails, called and stopped by to enquire about the deposit return. I was given the account help desk. - Sorry- routing me to a foreign call center with a script does not help. The problem seems to be with Regus (the parent company). I should not have to beg, follow up, or go to small claims to get my deposit back. I left the office cleaner than when I got there. - I left because I need an office closer to the West side. Regus & Spaces just lost me for that because of the way they are treating me. read more

AVOID!! I signed up for a membership as near my new house and went to start but left after a few hours as it was the worst working experience anyone can imagine. They have a childrens casting agency working from the space so for the 3 hours I was there, I had the pleasure of screaming children running around, parents loudly talking at their kids, and toddlers walking around me as I was taking zoom calls. I came for a peaceful work environment and would have been better off at a coffee shop. To make matters even worse, they are STILL charing me after I cancelled 2 months ago and keep taking $199 a month from my amex which I cant remove from the site- such a scam!! I;ve cancelled via email multiple times, via the site - even have a termination email and STILL being charged. read more

This is a tricky post, but overall I loved the venue and enjoyed working with Yamani. We rented the rooftop for a birthday celebration for 100 to 150 people. We used a DJ, Food Caterer, Bartender, and Host (to assist the bartender, assist guests with their drinks, and light cleanup during and after the event.) At night the view from the rooftop was amazing and engaging for the guests which made renting this location well worth it in spite of the items discussed below. Things to address when considering this location: 1. If you can, do a walkthrough because the location is amazing. We had 3 different activities across the rooftop (food serving, bartending, dancing near the DJ and area for table tennis. 2. There is one bathroom but make sure it is properly equipped with enough hygiene products for your event (TP, hand towels which ran out and seat liners for the ladies). 3. Be sure to inquire about the overhead heating before your event which is set on timers. 4. Check the flooring to make sure the wood slats are okay for your guests to walk on. Some times with lots of foot activity pieces disengage from the floors. They were repaired but you may miss it on the walk through and you should have it addressed in the contract. 5. Elevators. The building has two elevators but only one goes up to the rooftop and access requires a cardkey for each trip up. It can slow down the process of getting your guests to the rooftop. We hired a security person who was in a suit and was very professional, he made sure everyone was able to get up and down the elevator. 6. We were supposed to have a security person provided by the building, but we NEVER saw the person. Thank goodness we hired our own. 7. PARKING. It's not provided by Hollywood SPACES, but is provided within the building by a 3rd party until 11:30. There are in-and-out privileges until 11:30, with "exit" privileges only after 11:30 for $12.00 per car. It was worth it. There is parking on the street and other independent parking lots on Vine. 8. BE SURE to have it written in the contract where/how guests will be allowed into the building. They have a nice entrance from the street, but we were not told that we would not be able to use the front entrance for our event. We found out at the beginning, on the day of the event, that the front entrance would be locked and we were rerouted to a side entrance. This should have been made clear at the onset of our walkthrough of the space. I hope this helps. If this is addressed and resolved at the onset, you should have a really wonderful event. read more

Despite friendly and helpful front desk team members, I would advise against Spaces. As you can see from other reviews, everything is designed to hide charges from you and hold on to your money. Aside from that, I could barely get the internet to work -- it was a known problem that the front desk did their best to help with. They turn the air off on the weekends. There is a huge moveout fee no matter how clean you leave the office. My retainer has still not been returned and the corporate help desk in unreachable. The person who leased me the office actually lied to my face about the moveout fee. Such a bummer. If they weren't trying so hard to cheat you out of money, it might be a nice place. read more

The people who work here don't understand that they work for the customers. They are polite but obtuse, as if politeness allows for ignorant behavior. I *really* wanted to like this place, but unless you're renting a private office, Spaces Hollywood is not at all ready for use. After taking a tour of the second floor (I believe the rest of the building is still under construction), I made the mistake of signing up for the common space (i.e. "hot desk") plan without learning the specifics. A few hundred dollars currently gives you access to 1. a room with a bean bag chair and a ping pong table, 2. a windowless room with row upon row of tables resembling a middle school cafeteria and 3. stale drip coffee. I went just once for about 30 mins before realizing that I preferred my apartment building's lounge, business center and free single-serve coffee. I also realized it was my fault that I didn't do my due diligence so I didn't ask for a refund, but I canceled my monthly plan. Lo and behold, they still charged me twice as much as the rate they'd agreed to in my contract! Furthermore, they can't automatically refund my money because the location doesn't have the ability to give refunds for canceled plans! I've been waiting for a call from corporate for over a week at this point and my request for an update has gone unanswered. I think the physical facility will be beautiful in a few months once construction is complete, but the business's infrastructure is severely lacking. Spaces isn't ready yet and I think they're making a huge mistake by pretending otherwise. Update (11/7/18): One more week has passed and I'm still awaiting a refund or any communication from Spaces. I called the Regus corporate headquarters (Spaces' parent company) and the customer service representative was very kind, understanding and professional, but so far she's been unable to get any response from Spaces Hollywood in order for Regus to issue me the refund. Although Spaces originally claimed they'd filed a payment dispute on my behalf, the customer service rep was unable to find anything of the sort in the Regus system. This whole thing's been really weird... Not even corporate can get a response from Spaces Hollywood. Something feels off about this location... Will update. Update (11/13/18): Regus still hasn't been able to make contact with Spaces Hollywood, but offered the most outrageous explanation for why I was double charged: I signed up for a month-to-month plan with Spaces on October 5th, but would have had to cancel by October 1st in order to avoid being charged for November according to Regus' cancellation rules... ... What???! My Final Verdict: Stay away!!! read more

Spaces Hollywood is a world class Co-Working center that I was able to to host the screening of my first short film to an exuberant crowd of 45 people. Their newly renovated screening room is top of the line and they will be adding a 4k projector soon so my next project will be ever more vibrant. I've been working out of this location for 5 months editing my film in the spacious lounge, on the roof and collaborating with other like mined entrepreneurs during the community events. This place has given the the creature comforts of home, with an amazing staff to manage my administrative responsibilities, and still be able to focus and get this film finished under budget. Shannon and her team get a special credit in my film for keeping that coffee hot and encouraging me to keep working even past the center hours were closed. Terrible experience. Poor customer service, major issues with their internet connection every time we arrived to work (making it extremely difficult for my team to work efficiently), billing is a nightmare, no access to their corporate website for us to check our accounts etc. and I am now in the process of reporting them to Better Business Bureau from how inept their team is. I had high hopes committing to an office space coming out of the pandemic & hoped to find a home for myself and my team, this was not only a disappointing experience, but cost me hours of my time. I am STILL sitting on the phone trying to resolve parking charges months after we left the space. Every time I talk to someone in their billing department they say I owe $0.00 then I get harassing emails saying I am going to get reported to the credit bureau if I do not pay in full. I have been trying to confirm I am paid in full for months (and have remitted tons of money to them)! I would stay far away from this place. The unprofessionalism and stress they have caused is just unacceptable. read more

I'm very disappointed - wallets were stolen out of our office and weeks later, there is still no response from the corporate office. On 10/31, there were two wallets stolen out of our office. In hindsight, we should have locked our office door when we went to the roof for a team building gathering; up until that point, we didn't feel the need to because it is supposed to be a secured building. We requested video footage so that we could turn it over to the police. There is footage from where the stolen cards were used but the police need something to cross reference it with.... it's sad when you can't come to work and feel safe; when you now question everyone that walks the halls... 20 days later and still waiting. read more
