Enya was the Calm, the one who could diffuse anger simply by saying: "Let me see what I can do." Together, they maintained balance in the workspace. They could anticipate when someone was about to ask for coffee refills before the question was spoken. They could sense when a guest was about to "just drop in for five minutes" but would actually stay for six hours and rearrange the furniture. They were so powerful... they could even prevent Small Talk. But power like that... is tempting. One day, AJ attempted the forbidden technique: perfect office temperature control, a stable 72 degrees, pleasing to all. Cold-Blooded Laptop Guy... Warm-Natured Sweater Person... Guests from other climates... all would be at peace. But the HVAC... Did not care. And Enya, loyal though she was, could not stop facilities from saying: "We'll send someone to look at it tomorrow." Great work space. Love that its a min walk to Santana Row. Makes lunch, late night meals or just grabbing a cup of coffee super easy and accessible. I want to also throw a big shout out to the staff there. The front desk staff are so amazing and friendly. Always welcoming me when I walk in, and super attentive and helpful. Anytime I've had a problem, they were understanding, empathetic and actively trying to help. Making sure to follow up on anything I needed. I cant thank them enough. A key reason I keep coming back is that unlike other shared workspaces, they make you feel welcome. And that has value. read more

We are a small company that is new to Spaces and Regus. We dealt with Justin Wilson from Regus regarding the CoWorking Membership and the Mailbox. He lied when saying it is a month to month contract, and when asking for month to month contracts, he did one as month to month (which is at minimum over a month due to their cancel policies), and the other was a year when I asked for month to month. There were 2 contracts because one is for Mail and other was for coworking. After confronting him and talking to his manager, they said nothing they can do and I should've read the terms and conditions (which looking it over was just a small button where you click a check mark but when opening it up is over 3 pages long. In the contract as an example where they scam people and make the contract very one sided). When talking to their online support, they said too bad, you should have read all terms and conditions. So now they are forcing to pay for services not used at all and will be charging for the next 12 months. However, in the terms and conditions, it says if they (Regus or Spaces) wish to cancel, they can cancel anytime and charge the remainder of the balance of the contract. Also, if wishing to cancel, cancellations do not take effect until 30 days from the 1st of the next month. Worse if you sign more than month to month. There are tons of great coworking companies and Virtual Mailbox companies out there. Stay far away from this company unless you wish to do business with a dishonest company that locks customers into contracts and Dishonest sales professionals and forces you to pay for services that you won't use. They care more about taking and stealing your money than helping better the business community. read more

I have given 2 stars because the folks at the actual location are nice/helpful. But this company deserves 1 star for the utterly ineffective customer service system it has. I terminated my contract with Spaces MONTHS ago, and I have been charged two extra months. Then, I reached out to resolve the issue, and it was nearly impossible to get in touch with a live person about the charges. I was sent a note about a refund taking 3-5 business days, and still NO REFUND! Unbelievable. I absolutely will not return as a Spaces customer -- and a word from the wise, you should know that if Spaces has your card on file, they will charge away. I hope that I can get my money back before the year is over. read more

Deceptive billing practices and no security. 6 days in a private office, quoted for $309, ended up costing me $3500. Spaces quotes month-to-month memberships with "cancel anytime" policies. However, is it is not possible to pay for less than two months. Per customer service, the only way to buy a single month is to cancel *before* signing up. Which, after further correspondence, they acknowledge is not possible. I also lost a new MacBook Pro to theft when I stepped out to lunch. There is no security, and anyone can walk in off the street and go rummage through rented offices. If I could give less than one star, I would. The staff is friendly and apologetic, FWIW. read more

Signed up 3 weeks ago for their virtual office. Was expecting a welcome call but instead got a pretty harsh collection email with +$400 in invoices including future months and a late fee :). Im going to stay with Spaces since I have had a good experience in the past when they first opened. But just letting future prospects know this establishment does not respect its members. update: AVOID at all costs! Our lease contract needed 3/30/23. It took almost 3 months to get back our deposit due to 'errors.' Now, 7/12/23, I just got charged for another month's rent on my credit card! What? We've been out since April. I am forced to get an attorney to recover my funds since they claim it was another 'error' that they didn't charge me enough. Ridiculous and illegal. read more

Spaces is a beautiful collaborative workplace located right by Santana Row. The front desk workers are friendly, there's always parking, and the ambiance is both peaceful and inspiring. I've used a few Spaces locations around the SF Bay Area. They all have nice layouts, comfortable seating, lots of light and windows, and fast WiFi. They also have flexible drop-in plans and decent parking (at least in San Jose and Menlo Park). All of which is great. The Santana Row location is convenient for me and I like that it is close to shops and restaurants and some fitness options. One downside for me is that the last few times I've been there, the staff have been incredibly loud and very distracting - far more than the patrons. They laugh loudly and are pretty boisterous. Nice that they're having fun but I've found it so distracting that I haven't been back in awhile. The cafe space overall is a bit more like a coffee shop or a cafeteria (with ping-pong), which is fine if that's your vibe, but I'm not sure it's mine. It's also a pretty 9-5 place, so there's no much in the way of community. But that's not uncommon among coworking spaces. I will probably keep my pay-as-you go membership but I have decided not to make Spaces my regular office location. It's certainly decent as a drop-in space or a place to have a meeting or make phone calls. read more

This review is pointed toward the Management team. I have not used this site for almost a year. My company was aquired and I do not work. My job is done. I contacted Spaces via phone and email last Sept. and again in Nov. to cancel my contract and they renewed it for another year! Spaces continues to deduct over $100 each month from my dwindling account for zero services provided. This just killed ANY chance of me returning to spaces when I start up my next business. This is a great work space for anyone who needs a desk, table, couch, or anything else to work on. Get out of the house and work somewhere new! Unfortunately, I have had an extremely difficult time cancelling my subscription. It took me about a month to get my subscription cancelled, since the user portal offers no way to cancel. I had to call customer service multiple times to finally get my subscription cancelled. It is now about 3 months since I stopped using the service, and they are still sending me invoices for subscription charges. Do not purchase their service if you think you will ever need to cancel. My bad experience trying to cancel has taken so many hours that it completely overshadows any good aspects of the office experience. read more

This was a horrible experience. Buyer beware. Spaces will attempt to get you to sign a contract that gives you no right to cancel. These people refused to give us our deposit back, pointing to some arcane language in the agreement that allowed them to keep our deposit even though we moved out and our agreement was up. Obviously the best darn co-working space is South Bay. My only fear in posting this review is that everyone else starts coming to it. Love this place, love the people, love the companies. By far the best co/shared-work space in the area! Roomy private offices, reasonable/flexible lease terms, fantastic location (5 minute walk to Santana Row) and airy, clean, modern common areas and bathrooms. I previously leased an office at WeWork (DTSJ) but the offices are like phone booths (it seems manageable at first but gets to you after a while), there are no reasonable parking options and the location is.... not ideal (walking past drug deals every week is not conducive to a great mind set). Spaces gave me an office more than twice the size for a comparable rate, plus the underground parking is super convenient. The staff is super responsive and handles all of your garden variety IT needs (issues with Interwebs etc.), postage, mail, etc., and the site manager is a superstar. Highly recommend! read more

Great location and friendly staff! I've had an office here for almost 2 years now and it is fantastic. SPACES allows me the structure/ discipline of being in an office versus working from home, a professional atmosphere to both network and host, and the opportunity to use several other SPACES locations around the world as my job has a high demand on travel. Perfect for what I need as a start up company working with partners and colleagues around the globe. Close freeway access and free parking were also a big plus over "the other guys" in the South Bay. NO HEATING, NO CUSTOMER SERVICE STAFF. At first the Space seemed great, modern and staff was friendly. When we got in to the colder months (December / January) the private office I had rented was freezing (sub 65 degrees). They have big heating problems in this building across the board, and they have no control over it (the landlord does). After weeks of filing tickets, talking to staff and them unsuccessfully talking to the landlord, trying to get additional heaters installed, it was a total loss -- and I decided to move out early and cut my losses before the end of my lease (I lost valuable time and work over several weeks trying to resolve this). I have tried to have them refund me for some of the time and money I lost (at minimum the months I did not use the office) -- but those requests have fallen on deaf ears. I would highly warn anyone thinking of using this co-working space to think twice if you plan to be there during winter... Also, don't expect any kind of customer service or support -- it is impossible to get anyone on their customer service team, or in management on the phone, so I wouldn't expect any help if you run into any issues. read more

I've terminated my lease 6 months ago and I am still receiving invoices and getting charged... This office simply asked me to talk to the customer support. The customer support never replied my emails and their phone is always busy. Maybe this is not a fault of this office but this is something you should know when you consider any Regus location. read more

Spaces Santana Row is the perfect spot to have your office. They have different sizes office spaces so regardless if your operation is a 1-man-band or have a large team, they've got something for you. The staff are super friendly and professional. They've got everything you need there so you don't even need to worry about shopping for furniture. Just bring in whatever gear you need for work and you're ready to go. The only downside though... oh wait, there's none. We took a tour and signed on the same day because it is that good! read more

Everyone working in SPACES is very professional, thus making an excellent work environment where everyone is focused and motivated. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. The concept is great, the office space is very nice and the staff are very friendly. HOWEVER, the company behind the brand (Regus) is exceptionally disorganized, and will cause you extreme headaches that will outweigh the efficiencies that the coworking concept can bring. Choose a different coworking provider instead. In my case, I had a month-to-month agreement for membership to the coworking general space (the simplest possible arrangement). I provided written notice of cancelation several months ago, and yet the corporate back-office continues to send me invoices, now three months later. Importantly there is no dispute... all staff of spaces and their help desk agree that I should not be invoiced for my canceled membership, HOWEVER, the cooperate billing operation is overseas, and NOBODY has been able to communicate to them to stop billing me. (I have personally called the help desk to establish a case for this on 5 separate occasions -- at least a half hour of my time each). Now I am receiving administrative fees and threats to send to collections -- in an account that was long ago canceled and should have no open invoices. I have tried every angle to escalate the case, and always received a promise that it would be resolved promptly, but it never has. Additionally, I am owed a security deposit refund that I have yet to receive. At one point I was told that "You are lucky, some clients have it worse. Sometimes billing will charge them 2 to 3 times redundantly for no reason". I have been forced to make multiple calls to my credit card fraud department and spend half a dozen hours on this, with still no resolution in sight. They are simply incapable of fixing errors in their billing, which apparently occur quite frequently. Doing business with a company of this sort is like catching a disease. I wish I knew this was the case before I started my membership, which is why I am sharing this now. read more
