AJ was known throughout the co-working realm as AJ the Efficient; a master of schedules, of printer troubleshooting, of remembering exactly who actually booked Conference Room B. And Enya... Enya was the Calm, the one who could diffuse anger simply by saying: "Let me see what I can do." Together, they maintained balance in the workspace. They could anticipate when someone was about to ask for coffee refills before the question was spoken. They could sense when a guest was about to "just drop in for five minutes" but would actually stay for six hours and rearrange the furniture. They were so powerful... they could even prevent Small Talk. But power like that... is tempting. One day, AJ attempted the forbidden technique: perfect office temperature control, a stable 72 degrees, pleasing to all. Cold-Blooded Laptop Guy... Warm-Natured Sweater Person... Guests from other climates... all would be at peace. But the HVAC... Did not care. And Enya, loyal though she was, could not stop facilities from saying: "We'll send someone to look at it tomorrow." AJ worked to the brink. And eventually... let go. The balance was lost. The thermostat returned to 71... 73... 69... 78... 62... Chaos. Enya learned from this. She understood that some forces cannot be controlled... Only endured. Now she waits. Silent... watchful... clipboard ready... For the next request.

Anytime I've had a problem, they were understanding, empathetic and actively trying to help. Making sure to follow up on anything I needed. I cant thank them enough. A key reason I keep coming back is that unlike other shared workspaces, they make you feel welcome. And that has value.

Beware of post-cancellation charges and unresponsive billing support…read more I signed up for Spaces Santa Clara because the workspace itself looked great--clean design, solid Wi-Fi, and a personable front-desk team. Unfortunately, everything unraveled once I decided to leave. Clunky, confusing cancellation: Finding the cancellation option on the Regus/Spaces member portal felt like a scavenger hunt. It's buried under several sub-menus, and the wording is anything but clear. After far too much clicking around, I finally submitted the request and even received written confirmation. Still charged--twice: Despite cancelling, my card was hit with charge in back-to-back months. I emailed billing support immediately and looped in a regional manager. Aside from automated "we've received your request" replies, there's been radio silence--no timeline, no accountability, no refund. Bottom line: The workspace may look polished, but their backend systems and customer support are anything but. If you join: Screenshot every step of your cancellation. Monitor your statements like a hawk. Be prepared to chase down refunds on your own time. Until Spaces Santa Clara (and parent company Regus) streamline their cancellation flow and fix their billing follow-up, I can't recommend them.

Pre-COVID, I would avoid a one-hour long commute to work on occasion as my employer partnered with Star Space as a remote working location for their employees. There are numerous working environments (some formal, some informal, and also includes an outdoor patio that has WiFi connectivity) that are all set up with external monitors and peripherals. The printing is fast and there are conference rooms that can be reserved in advance for a small fee. There are sometimes community events meant to bring together those using the co-working space to get to know each other and exchange ideas. Post-COVID, they have aligned with proper precautions for the county and I feel completely safe working from there. There is a key fob that you can use during and after-hours, truly making this workplace accessible 24/7. Their kitchen is also fantastic. It is usually stocked with many single-serve type items (think cheese, hummus, pickle pouches, fruits, trail-mix type snacks, and beverages galore). Microwave, kitchen, and non-stop coffee. (There is oddly a premium coffee machine up front that I have NEVER seen been used as they charge a fee. This seems like it is a waste and should just be made available for users to make their own coffee.). Lunch is usually via a group DoorDash, but I find it easier and cheaper to often order separately and have it delivered to the the front door. All-in-all, Star Space is a wonderful co-working space that allows me to work outside the distracting environment in my own home, but not having to commute to my regular workplace or to another distracting environment like the library or coffee shops. They have great receptionist too. Highly recommend!

The 6th floor is the main area but it didn't have phone booths to take meetings so I went down to the 5th floor which was amazingly empty. There was complimentary coffee and assorted teas, and I appreciated the sustainability efforts with the mugs. I would have given this location 4 stars if it wasn't for the parking costs. WeWork doesn't validate your parking garage ticket so it was $1.50 per 15 minutes with a maximum cost of $22/day. So if you pair that with the cost of the WeWork, $57 to spend a full work day here is a little costly.

On the day of the move in, I was confused as to how the security system worked and the code for some reason did not work. I called in to ask and Jack was able to quickly fix the code issue as well as providing a thorough explanations as to how the gates work & how to make sure my unit was secure. Very responsible, kind and patient, I am glad to have someone like him managing the facility. Would highly recommend! The price for the unit was extremely reasonable as well compare to other storage facilities in San Jose.
