It's a fantastic coworking space for those that are looking for a spot to do work that is well appointed, welcoming and community-focused. Their leadership sets them apart and rather than focusing on squeezing dollars from their membership - they want to build a helpful, strong and welcoming community for everyone. We have private desks which at the current rate is a steal for anything in Logan or other neighborhoods, but public space abounds for those not looking for a private space. There are conference rooms, phone booths and common areas that are all able to be reserved by their online system. I've been to a number of coworking spaces that are either incredibly pretentious or try so hard to be cool and edgy that they lose their purpose. People can actually get shit done here and meet others that are entrepreneurs who can benefit their company. We've added 3 contractors to our company roster simply by being here and they have added to the quality of work our company provides. If you're looking for a space to call your own, get work done and hang out in a wonderful community - Second Shift is the place for you.

It wasn't a bad space. The room we were in was kind of on the small side, since there were 5 rows of tables set up in the room. They were those skinny little tables you see at conferences and stuff too, which was a little bit of a pain, but no big. What actually surprised me most was that there weren't more outlets. I had my laptop to take notes, as did a couple other women, and the only outlets were high up (like more than halfway up) the wall, and only on one side of the room. My laptop didn't die, though, so it worked it alright since I was able to charge during the break. Just a bit unexpected in a modern space. I was here on a Saturday morning, in a small workshop that only had about 20 people total, so I'm not sure how it would be on a weekday, but we were the only ones there during the timeframe of our event. That was nice because it was super quiet. A couple quirks about the building, if you're heading here: They have smart elevators, and though I'm not sure exactly how they work the guard selected the floor from his desk and told me which elevator I would take to get to my floor. There are touchpads just outside the elevators, and on the way down, the only option the touchpad fave me was the lobby (although if you work there, there must be a way to access other floors). There are only about 4 buttons in the actual elevator. Also--on this floor, at least--the bathrooms are secured and you have to enter a code to enter. Nice for keeping it clean and orderly, but it could've a little stressful if you forget the code! We didn't have any kind of tech issues or anything, though it was more than a little annoying to have to agree to get promo emails from them in order to log onto the WiFi--the space was being paid for; that seems like it should have been included in the rental fee. I'm also not sure if adding a slightly larger space made it that much more expensive or something, because the catered lunch we had was set up in a kind of closet-like alcove adjacent to the larger room we were using. But overall it seems like a useful space for small meetings or other events, presentation, or co-working.

The office space is clean and modern. I use a flex desk which is fine for my needs. The only concern I've ever had is that if you're not here earlier in the morning - and you need a dual-monitor desk - they fill up fast. I've found the people that share the space are very nice. A few tend to get loud on the phone at times, but no worse than if I were to work at a Starbucks. There are private phone areas as well - so most people use those. The staff is very quick to reply and friendly. I deal with Melissa the most and have found her professional and pleasant. The internet has been slow a few times (as stated below), but I think that's more of an issue with the provider versus this location. In any event, when this happens the problem is always addressed quickly. If you need a break from working at home, I'd suggest trying this out. Co-working spaces/office sharing helped me put more structure around my work day. And made me more productive. Can't complain on that.

They have two levels - the first level features a large lounge-like space with a coffee bar. Patio space is also available on nicer days. There are a few phone rooms available and there is also a communal working space that is designed for quiet working. The rented office spaces are also surrounding this area. The second floor features a smaller lounge and more studio spaces so working space is more limited. I was able to find a few good spots to work from, however, they don't have big tables available outside of the communal quiet space so it isn't a spot to really lay out all of your work. Wifi was great and there are light refreshments available while you are there. I would recommend trying a day! Also perk for those of you with dogs, this place is dog friendly so you can bring your dog to work! They have a green area on the second floor.

The interaction was extremely unprofessional and left me feeling disrespected. Instead of receiving a warm, welcoming, and informative conversation about the club, I was met with rude behavior and dismissiveness. I understand that running a social club can be stressful, but it's important to treat potential members with kindness and respect. This call was a stark contrast to the positive image I had of the club before. I hope the leadership takes this feedback seriously and works on improving how they communicate with prospective members. For now, I can't recommend this club based on my experience, as the treatment I received does not align with the values I would expect from any organization. I will also write a public review about this. I have also blocked the founder and your company from social media as the experience was so bad I would never want to be related to it. There were couches to lounge around on, a full dining room table, and plenty of standing room around the kitchen area! Having a kitchen space allowed the hosts to serve warm, mulled wine, ice cold sangria, and straight-out-of-the-oven appetizers! They also have an employee on site at all times to deal with any problems, which is a nice perk to ensure a flawless party. The space is simply stunning, with lots of windows letting in plenty of natural light, beautiful high ceilings and freshly painted white walls. It was easy to transform it from a workspace into an elegant and serene venue by adding high boys, linens, flower arrangements, balloons, and a few other personal touches. We were able to fit approximately 70 guests very comfortably, and the acoustics were great for our DJ and live band. The owner, Liane, was very accommodating. She reserved our preferred date for us, she maintained communication with our event planner, and she allowed us access to the venue the evening before the event to setup, which was extremely helpful. We were very grateful that we were able to reserve the space for a Sunday afternoon, when street parking would be free. Our guests had no difficulty finding the location or parking, and many commented on how beautiful the venue was. Oh, and there are several bathrooms-- all of them clean and well equipped for your guests (when I was looking at other venues, I noticed that is not always the case, but it's so important-- so I wanted to be sure to mention it here). If you're looking for a space to host your next event, be sure to check this one out. You won't be disappointed :)
