You are the best person!) through to the artist Josiah who kindly fit me in on his packed schedule, my experience with these cats was an unexpected joy during a stressful time. I was in Tulsa briefly from out of town and had a profound need to have a specific image placed on my wrist. I knew they were booked solid, but decided to give it a go and hang around in the event one of their *stellar* artists would take a walk in. Fate made it such that Josiah agreed to do my tattoo at the end of his busy day. And man, he NAILED it. The tattoo is flawless, and he leant his opinion of HOW to do the art - making it better than I imagined and saving me some novice regret for sure. Josiah is also an ethical dude with a strong moral compass. And a virtuosic artist, just check out his portfolio. Especially in monochromatic pieces. Having viewed the portfolios of the other artists at S&J, I'm pretty confident anyone will have a great experience with this talent group. Also, the Front Office Manager saved my butt by arranging a Pop-a-Lock tech after I locked my keys in my car! I was on a tattoo journey and this place was ranked as one of the lowest on my stop. I looked up the reviews - this shop seemed to have several positive. Soooo, I suggested my mom and I go (as we both wanted specific tattoos). She went first and they talked her out of a very specific ribbon. I had came ahead but had to leave and come back. Upon my return, the artist made it clear that the shop would not apply the specific color to my "skin type"...."melanated". OH WoWzers!!! So...the shop has the color but is refusing what I am requesting due to my skin color. OK, got it. The shop did say I could pay full price for the tattoo without the color (that they have in stock and on hand). The color is cancer specific and not getting the color defeats the purpose of getting the ribbon. read more

I was a walk-in on a fairly slow afternoon, and I was greeted by a very friendly receptionist and a clean environment. She answered my initial questions and helped to get me introduced to the artist, Pete. This was my first tattoo, so I had very high expectations. Gratefully, Pete gave me several options and designed several beautiful variations of my chosen phrase. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience, and I loved my design! Do NOT walk in for a tattoo. They seem pissy about it, will do it, but will charge you double the price. My friend and I did a walk in and they hardly even spoke to us. We wanted a friend related tattoos and they didn't even coordinate what each artist was doing so our tattoos look completely different and even different sizes. Both of our's cost $150 even though mine was bigger and had more detail than my friend's. My tat took about 45min and my friend's only took a 30min. We heard the girl telling people on the phone that's it's either $100 or $150 per hour so this made zero sense with what we got and the time it took. I don't recommend this place at all! read more

Would not recommend, this was my worst experience. They were very rude and had me waiting for 4 hours because no one wanted to communicate with me that they didn't like the style of the tattoo that I wanted. So finally an artist came out to talk to me and this man was very unprofessional and rude about the situation and yelled at me in the lobby. I had also talked to 3 different people at the shop about what I wanted beforehand and not one of them told me that it wasn't there "style". If I could give more stars I would!! Johnny did my side tattoo and I am SO pleased! Anytime anyone tells me they want a tattoo, I tell them they would be silly to go anywhere else. But to plan ahead... Because Johnny is always booked! Luckily we went in to get ours done by any artist and just so happened Johnny had just gotten back into town so he was taking walk-ins! Wahoo! Quoted $45-$50 for a Daith piercing while AT the shop. Agreed to the price then 20 min later when we are leaving it changed to $80!!! Are you kidding me?? Almost double the price?? No gold earring or any thing special that should have bumped the price an extra $30-$35. Prices should be clearly quoted. She said the hole was $45-$50 and that does not include jewelry when I asked why the large mark up!? Disappointed and major price shock. I should have waited and gone to Karma. read more

Cindy did a wonderful job. It was my first Tatoo and she explained everything to me. How it was going to feel and why they have to do certain things. There was very little uncomfortableness. The colors were bright and cheerful and could not be any more happy. I will be adding to this Tatoo and getting another one fairly soon. I would recommend Cindy at Jaded and Spaded to anyone is looking to get a new Tatoo. She is the best. She does all types of tattoos. I had several different flowers done and she understood what I was wanting. She took pictures as we progressed to make sure I liked what she was doing. Also I liked the atmosphere. They are a very clean place and really nice but however my tattoo artist was very quick to get it done did not care to see that his work did not lineup or look good and I even had to go back and get lines put in it where he forgot dashes in between numbers. If I went back it would only be only to try a different artist. read more

My friend went to get a tattoo here and the artist said it would be 160. He was very nice. We went to the lady at the front desk because he said she handles the money. We gave 180 so the artist could have a 20 as a tip. She said she counted an extra one then asked how we were gonna pay the rest?? You counted extra what do you mean rest?!? Then she went back on her word and said oh Nevermind it's 160 when it was definitely 180. We know it was 180 because we had taken 220 out of the bank and there is now 40 left. THAT MEANS WE GAVE 180. We walked out like what?? I went back in for my friend and asked if she counted an extra 20 in there. She said "oh I thought I did but I didn't". So I told her there was an extra one in there as a tip for him and she STILL insisted there was only 160 there. Hope the artist sees this!! Get your 20!!! He did an amazing job!! Pfffft! Came here to price a touch up on a two of my tattoos. They were all black, each no bigger than 4"x2". The lady at the front said it is a minimum $125 for one hour, and over an hour would be another $125. When I got these tattoos it took less than an hour for both on the same day. But the dude in the back wanted to charge me $250 regardless how long it was going to take! They are black minimal tattoos! Are you kidding me! read more

Called to make an appointment, the girl on the phone said they were pretty open all day and depending on what I wanted I could just walk right in and get it that day. So I told her exactly what I wanted and where, she said it was no problem and to come in at any time. When I came in a few hours later and showed them a picture of what I wanted, they told me they couldn't do it today and I would need an appointment. It was over 3 hours til they closed, my tattoo would take maybe 2. There were several artists there, one was out front smoking, and another guy was just walking around yelling "I'm gonna kill you" to his employees ?? Not sure why they couldn't tattoo me or why they wouldn't even offer to schedule an appointment after I had already tried to make one in the first place and was told I didn't need one. Overall I'm glad I didn't get a tattoo here, didn't like the vibe they weren't very friendly and clearly just didn't want to do my tattoo. read more

I went in around August to talk about a piece; I wanted to get my family crest on my shoulder and get someone else's shoddy work touched up on my leg. I decided to have john black be the artist. I gave him some reference pics, told him what I liked, and - since he's the artist - just have fun with it and make it badass. The first open appt he had was mid October, not ideal as I'm impatient; but, I figured there was a good reason he was that booked up. When I finally went in and got it, It took about 5.5 hours & he only got up twice for a very short time. He did an amazing job- the lines are super clean and he is very detailed oriented on his work. Very clean shop, professional staff/artists that I've heard only good things about. Awesome place!!! read more

do not go here or even think about making an appointment. i went with my friend to get a matching tattoo and they judged us for what we wanted; (ex. "what the f-ck is that?", "yeah i cant even tell what that is."). it was also a walk-in because they were smaller tattoos, and they charged us 100-160 dollars each for them that didnt even take 30 minutes. i dont know why, but i decided to call to make another appointment and the person on the phone told me to email them the reference picture i had and said they would get back to me after i sent them and they never did. they also had an attitude. whats funny is they suggested a walk-in appointment... yeah, not after the service i got before. do not go here, literally anywhere else is better. read more

Overall I would say go to another shop! My artist was a great artist, the check in people are unbelievably amazing! Actually the check in guy gives u a false sense of this being a great shop! I love my tattoo but I spent way to much for it in comparison to any other shop! It's difficult to sit a long time getting ur ink while being in a very uncomfortable shop! It's wide open so when u have to remove clothing it's extremely uncomfortable! Then to hear all of the artist banter back and forth discussing what idiots their clients are, how they are going to take their time so that they can make more money and make fun of what tattoos their clients want, it makes me sick! I do not recommend this place. We went in and spoke to the tattoo artist about what we wanted and then made a soft appointment for the following day. We offered to be completely flexible on the appointment time due to him having a very large tattoo already scheduled for the same day. Two hours after the scheduled appointment time we called and were assured that he was almost done. And then we never heard from him again. So basically we waited around all day for this guy only to be completely blown off. That is just bad business! So the next day we wend to Brookside and got very professional and courteous service. Stay away from Spaded and Jaded folks, unless you are willing to waste your own time. It's up to you. read more

I don't understand why this tattoo shop has such a high rating... the artists are not friendly at all and they speak very highly of themselves and lots of trash about other artists not in their shop. At the time you make the appointment they require the $100 deposit to hold appointment so when we arrived for our 6:30 appointment we planned to get in fairly soon after that. They did not start on the artwork until around 8:00pm and actually tattooing until 8:30pm. We would have left but this meant they would keep the $100 deposit. The girl I came with got a simple 11 letter, 2 word writing and the lines were not full. The tattoo looks good from a distance but not quality work when you see it up close. Considering this simple tattoo cost the "shop minimum" of $100 I feel that is unacceptable and very low grade tattoo work. The tattoo I received from a different artist also has incomplete lines and a red heart that I had to go back to have touched up because it was spotty. When I contacted the artist about this, his reply was "yeah sometimes red is hard because of the blood breaking through." I understand this but also feel that an artist with 25yrs experience should know this and do the color fill in completely the first time so that the customer does not have to return. He did however do the touch up with no problems and at no charge, but then I let him touch up an older tattoo for the "shop minimum" and he completely changed the look of the tattoo, not in a good way. I am sorry I went there and will not recommend this shop to others. All in all the only positive thing I can say is that it is a clean shop and the receptionist was nice but Spaded and Jaded is totally overrated and does not deserve to have 5 stars!!! read more

My wife wanted her first tattoo, and I wanted another so we decided to do it for our anniversary. We did some research and decided to check out the fellas at Spaded & Jaded. We got there about 8 PM and we looked at the work portfolios provided. Mel, the very helpful shop receptionist who I hear has just started a collection of random old men's baby pictures, helped us choose the best artist for our designs. Z-Dub, A.K.A. Mr. Community, was stoked as soon as we started talking. We left our designs with him and it even worked out that he had the day of our anniversary open. When we arrived everyone was ready and excited. My wife went first, and Z-Dub did a great job of setting it up, and it turned out great. It was better than either of us would have imagined. I was next. My piece is pretty big, and Z-Dub took extra time to make sure that it was set up perfectly. I was surprised how fast he worked, but he was all focus. Like I said before my piece is pretty big, and it's definitely the biggest one I've ever had. I figured I could set through the whole thing, but he called it after all the line work was done. I'll be honest, I'm not the smartest guy and I figured that I could tough it out. I'm glad he called it. I was shot, and fell asleep on the way home. This was all pro all the way through. My piece looks great, and I go back in a couple of weeks to get the shading done. I can't recommend Spaded & Jaded highly enough, and Z-Dub. If you want good work, and a professional experience get yourself there. read more
