The store is clean and well organized. The fresh fruit and sandwiches have always been fresh and of good quality. Quite inexpensive, as well. I find it odd that they don't refrigerate their eggs, but that seems to be the norm in the UK. Great hours, as well - while many places around here close at 6:00, the co-op is open until 11:00. I feel lucky to have a store like this so close to wear we are staying while on holiday.

It's very shiny and new, in that way that only Tesco stores seem to achieve. With a good selection of food, snacks, alcohol and other drinks, newspapers, etc, it's a great addition to the area. There are a few check-outs and another self-service check-out, so you're set even when it's busy. It's a bit smaller than Tesco Expresses in the city centre (Ingram St and Sauchiehall St in particular), but has all the same amenities. There are also 2 cash machines (RBS I think, and LInk, so you won't be charged extra). Since you previously would have had to walk all the way to the Clydesdale on the Main Street or the Bank of Scotland at the corner of Barrachnie, this is a good spot. It's open 6am til 11pm daily - perfect for when you realise you forgot the milk!

Morrisons always have loads of offers on and the only problem is that sometimes queues are pretty big. They also have some tills where you can only pay with cash which is quite annoying as when it is busy and you are looking for a till you can miss the sign.

I mean, when do they do it, how do they do it? Do they have super fast midgets who sprint from the gaps between isles to scoop up any crumbs, litter or random detritus? Do said midgets have mop attachments on their feet to allow a kind of 'killing two birds' type ethos when cleaning up afore mentioned debris? Most recent to shop for a Thanksgiving dinner I hosted for 15 of my friends. Everything about this Tesco Extra is great. It's big, it's bright, it's airy. There are nooks and crannys of goodies everywhere you turn. I've even noticed lately, there's a self serve kiosk to print pictures that you can simply hook up to your phone (they have phone jacks for every type of phone) and print photo quality pictures from your phone!! How mega is that?! I come here when I'm looking for things I can't find close to where I live (not that this Tesco is far away). They have loads of different ethnic sections where I have been able to buy things from back home that I wouldn't normally find at my local shops in town. Canned pumpkin and corn meal being two of the items I picked up for my party. The employees here have always been nothing less than helpful when I've needed them, and although it's always slammed packed with people, I've never had any issues with getting in and out with ease when I've needed to. There is underground parking which is fab on those rainy days (if you drive) and nearby access to public transportation if you need it. Also, in the building that houses Tesco, there's a post office, a Greggs, a card store, a dentist office, among other things. It really could be your one stop shop in the Mary Hill area! :) Although I prefer to shop local, there are just some days when a mega store is where I can find what I'm looking for! i'll always be back!
