Last year, I took the kids to ride at the Clear Fork ATV park. It was a good experience. There were not many people there, but I don't think the defunct-ski-resort-turned-ATV-park had been open for very long. The lodge/Bar/Restaurant building was clean and air conditioned with decent restroom facilities. Sunday was the fourth time that I've ridden the Clear Fork Adventure Park in the past two years. Unfortunately, the park was in the worst shape ever. The restaurant is permanently closed. They used to mow all of the ski hills and the land surrounding the adult and kids' dirt tracks. The kids track was so overgrown, I had trouble finding it. Almost all of the grass on the property was 2-4 feet tall. I encountered many thorny vines growing across the poorly-marked trails (dark-red spray-painted dots on trees mean wrong-way; dark-green spray-painted dots mean right-way). I used to like to ride this place on the weekend for safety reasons (rather than face the high-traffic trails at Wayne on weekends). It was a nice place to take the kids, and it's only an hour away from home. Unfortunately, it is not going to survive by charging riders $20 per day and failing to perform minimal maintenance on the property. The hours of operation are pretty strange as well: Wed - Sun, noon - 7 PM. We were told the resort has been sold two or three times, and it is currently owned by an investment group in Utah that owns 27 other resorts (this is the only one that is an ATV park).

The location isn't hard to find, but remember you're looking for a house, not a traditional hotel. Check-in was a breeze and from the moment you enter the suite, you are plunged into what I can only describe as a romantic escape room. I don't want to give away too many things, because half of the fun is discovering all that your suite has to offer. However, I will say that you will not be disappointed if you love mysteries and grew up on choose your own adventure books and Scooby Doo. In addition to all of the fun things, the room has to offer, details have been meticulously, thought of, from plush robes to snacks. You never really have to leave the room if you don't want to. We did decide to take a break about halfway through to enjoy a restaurant in the area, which was another bit of nostalgia, because I had not seen a Ponderosa buffet since I was a kid. Two things to note to make your stay better. First, take advantage of the full-time you have the room. This is one place that you want to arrive as soon as check-in is available at 5PM and check out at the very last minute 11AM so you can really enjoy everything. Next, even if you are really moving quickly the experience takes 3 to 4 hours, so be prepared for that. You can definitely move at your own pace, but just know there's a lot to uncover. Overall, this place is a gem. I would absolutely return and try a different adventure, but honestly Treasure Island was so much fun I would do it again.

There was music playing and it was uniquely decorated, like we were stepping into a whole different world. The clues were more difficult than we expected which was great! Behind each hidden door is a new experience. This is better than any escape room you've ever done. While the house is shared with other couples each suite is completely private. When entering our room it felt like we were the only ones in the whole place. The only reason we knew other people were there is because we saw cars out front and could hear people talking from the shared staircase. Book a room. You will not be disappointed.

I bought my ticket online about 6 months early for $54 but it's actually $50 if you pay cash when you arrive. I got there and the head lady said that my ticket was already scanned and to get in I would have to buy another ticket. That would be $100 for a one day bluegrass entry. After 1/2 hour of her saying that I had to have sent my ticket to somebody, which I didn't (that would be stupid and makes no sense) she finally let me in after making ne feel like I was a scumbag trying to cheat the system. I will NEVER buy a ticket ahead of time to the Mohican bluegrass festival. Note... I've never had problems with tickets at any other bluegrass festival.

We both are done with state parks. Mohican Wilderness is our go to campsite. Dont fight with packed loud state parks. Go here. Trust me. Want to crank your radio? You will get told to turn it down so it cant be heard off your site. *I* will be the person that reported you (after I told you once you are annoying me) Staffed really well Office staff was very accommodating and professional. Constantly doing maintenance on the property. (I hear chainsaws and lawnmowers far off in the distance!) Put your trash in bags by the roadway every hour they come by and take it. Spots are clean - Spacious - and did I mention quiet? For a campground with 250 sites they have 7 pump out stations. The pump out stations are setup great too. Didn't need to pull out the long hose. water pressure was VERY high which was great for back washing my black tank. Shower houses are pretty convenient Discount program for subsequent stays all the way to 30% off. No cellphone service We did the 5 mile Kayak trip on Monday and it was nice. Because of where our trip went it was clear of other people on the river. Everything they have is well maintained. From the Kubota/John Deere Zero turn mowers to the Ford Transit vans they use for the river trips. The whole place looks clean and inviting. Cons: No cellphone service. Wow the pit toilets are horrendous. I mean seriously. WOW. Dual seats? lol It is FAR from everything- This might be a Pro.
