I responded asking how to check in and got no response so I called the number. The guy that answered said I wasn't in his system and must be at the the wrong "Blessings lodge" and went silent when I informed him he had just texted me. He insisted I call the other "Blessing lodge" and didn't seem to want to provide me the number. About 10 minutes later after numerous back and forths he said the "other" place was owned by a company whose sign was next door at a different place so we went over there and called the number on the sign. They told me that I should have received an email with name of unit, door lock numbers etc. She explained the "lodge" (although one building) is owned by two different groups, one owns the upstairs and the other owns the downstairs. (Once again - how did the first guy text me?). Once we got into the unit called "Harmony" which was supposed to have a "kitchenette" we found a small corner in the main room with dishes, dish soap, coffee maker, toaster, small fridge microwave and .... NO WATER SOURCE! The simple act of making coffee means you have to walk all the way from the back of the TV room into and through the bedroom to the bathroom right beside the toilet and carry cups of water (it's a small sink) back to the kitchen. Thank god we didn't have to wash any dishes. Do not recommend anyone stay at this place until they get their act together and for gosh sakes don't accept "Harmony" unit until they fix the water/kitchenette issue. That is false advert

The hot tub was way to hot for July! No matter what we did we couldn't get the temp down. There was also a lot of flies that got in the room somehow! We spend both evenings killing them, at-least six, just kinda gross. Then for some reason the bedding had a stain on it (which we didn't discover until midnight) they did come the next day and change it out. And take $20 off the cleaning fee. I probably wld go back but get a different cabin because of the hot tub temp issue.

As we walked by one of them asked, "Hey ladies, are you going swimming tonight?" I don't consider myself uptight but I was put off by it. Inside, the check in was polite and quick. Our room was clean and the view from our balcony was incredible. Very picturesque and serene. After having some cocktails in our room, we decided to explore the grounds. The trail behind the building lead us first to the koi pond. It was stocked with beautiful fish and food for them was available to purchase. There was a little waterfall and then we came upon a childrens village that was absolutely adorable. Having just rained, there were no children playing in the village so being two adults with questionable maturity, we had the most fun exploring the miniature buildings. After exploring the outside, we did indeed go swimming. The pool area was saturated with the smell of chlorine and the jacuzzi was extra hot and crowded but we had a nice time relaxing and making new friends. It was a good one night experience.

We try to get a room off the rear to enjoy the view of the surrounding countryside. The rooms are always very clean and the staff warm and friendly. In the evenings there are snacks of cookies and popcorn. The continental breakfast is also satisfying often including scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, a breakfast meat, cereal, fresh fruit, and more! It is also centrally located to most things we want to do from shopping for furniture to stocking up on cheeses and spices to candles and leather goods. Rooms were comfortable and very clean. This is an older fashioned inn, you can Park right in front of your door. There is a lovely outdoor area for pictures and to sit and relax. They made us feel like family or like new good friends! Their hospitality is excellent! From the moment we walked in, Sue greeted us with a warm and friendly smile and made us feel welcomed. Larry is also very friendly and made us feel at home. That's nice because my wife said from now on when we come up to Amish Country, this is our home and this is where she wants us to stay. We stayed in the French Country room which was so big and spacious and has a private balcony to enjoy the peace and quiet of the area. The king size bed was very comfortable to sleep in. It has a private bathroom with a jacuzzi tub in it. The only thing we didn't like or feel too comfortable with, was the bathroom door. It's a sliding door that doesn't completely close and give you privacy when you're going to use the bathroom. But, it's not a big deal because the rest of the room was beautiful and spacious. From the moment we walked into our room, my wife couldn't believe how beautiful the room looked and told me I did a great job picking out this room. (I redeemed myself from the last place I picked out for us to stay at which was a terrible B & B in Bucyrus that we'll never go back to). Larry & Sue fixed us a great breakfast the next morning. Before we ate, Larry said grace with us thanking God for the food and all of God's blessings on us which we thought was amazing and we were so glad that Larry did that, since my wife and I have always prayed together over our meals and give thanks and together every night before we say good night, we pray together. We had pumpkin pancakes that were so good, we ended up going and buying some of the pumpkin pancake mix at this nice little country store Sue told us about called Ashery's. Sue's scrambled eggs with cheese were so yummy I had to have a 2nd helping. They also made us home potatoes & sausage. They even had fresh fruit, orange juice and coffee. It was such a yummy and satisfying breakfast, that we were full all day until we had dinner at Berlin Farmstead (see my review on that place too). Very impressive when you enter I must say. The second floor has a wonderful kitchen and fireplace to cozy up to. The top floor has a reading nook and king sized bed. The house has beautiful wooden beams throughout which gives the place a very'homey' feeling. We ordered the cheese platter and chocolate dipped strawberries upon arrival and were very impressed by both. The cheese platter was filled to the brim with assorted cheeses and sliced meats with a sweet mustard. It came with a bottle of semi sweet wine. The strawberries were enormous and very tasty. We had breakfast delivered versus the grab and go and it was amazing. All in all it was a great experience and I highly recommend staying here.
