Our group of 40 stayed in August of 2024 and are now booked for 2025. They have a wonderful meeting room we used that included a sink and refrigerator I believe there was also a stove and oven. Rooms were comfortable and very clean. This is an older fashioned inn, you can Park right in front of your door. There is a lovely outdoor area for pictures and to sit and relax. It has great places close for entertainment and sight seeing. Nice central area of the state for a group spread all over the state. read more

Terrific little gem! Simple but ultra clean accommodations. We had the 2bdrm suite and loved it. Would be perfect for 2 couples or a small family! Private and quiet Booking was easy, I spoke with probably three different people booking for our group and they were each helpful! We booked a package and it was spectacular included dinner and breakfast. We loved going around and picking up the treats. I would recommend a package here for anyone! read more

We stayed here as part of one of their packages and had a truly wonderful experience. With the package, check in is at 2, but you can come any time after 8 to pick up the coupon book to start your adventure. We arrived around 2:30 so we checked in and dropped our stuff off. I was surprised how large and spacious the room was. We booked a jacuzzi with king size bed. The room had the bed, a recliner, the jacuzzi and dressers. The sinks were separate from the shower/toilet room. One thing I'll say is there was a dried flower planted thing on the edge of the jacuzzi. It was very 90s (and May have been there since then). I knew they didn't have a "modern" look but things like this could be taken away to improve the room's aesthetic without taking away from the look they are going for. That and the fact that the bed was sooooooo hard are the only reason I didn't give five stars. I'm truly impressed with the value of the package. We paid $159 and got a room, dinner at Yoder's (which would have been around $40), breakfast (we slept in and missed it but value would have been around $25) and a ton of fun goodies from the coupons. We spent 2 nights at Dutch Host Inn and highly recommend this older style but exceptionally clean location. We purchased the Spring Package and had so much fun driving to the various map locations to claim our gifts. Following the map took us on a delightful tour of so many Amish homes, farms and even museums. Talking with the Amish owners of some of the shops was a definite highlight! read more

It might not look like much in their photos online, but it's a beautiful property nestled into a little valley. The grounds are perfectly kept. The lawn is beautiful and there are plenty of Amish made seating options for outdoor lounging. They have a few gazebos, some swings, picnic tables etc. The rooms may look a little dated with the wall paper, but they are CLEAN and comfortable. The staff are wonderfully accommodating. We have an electric vehicle and charging anywhere in the Amish country is incredibly difficult. One of the chargers we were able to find was broken and the other was at a fully booked hotel. The staff here were so accommodating. They allowed us to charge our electric vehicle all night without issues. We just plugged in to an outdoor outlet near a gazebo. They were so understanding and accommodating. The front desk clerk gave us great recommendations for local "non-touristy" things to do. She told us about some waterfalls and hiking and some local spots to eat that aren't all touristy and over priced route you through the gift shop type places. The linens are nice, the AC works well, and the Amish built furniture in the rooms is a nice rustic touch. This exceeded our expectations at this price point. It's very central to everything... just a hop skip and a jump away from Walnut Creek, Mt Hope animal auction, Dundee falls, and millersburg. read more

Stayed here for 3 nights in this economy inn for a scrapbook retreat & my husband came along for a little R & R. Very clean room & bathroom! The common room we used for scrapbooking was cozy with a gas fireplace & a full kitchen including an oven & dishwasher. Plenty of dishes in the cupboard too which was nice. A continental breakfast was included which was fine with me for the lower price we paid for the room. My only complaint is that the beds were hard - like sleeping on a board. If we had a comfortable mattress, I would have given 5 stars. read more

This was a very nice place. It was very clean and it felt like it was a home like place. We stayed in the winter and did the winter package. It was fun to go around and collect your items. Every place we collected the items from was very nice and friendly. The food was good and there was plenty to choose from at the places we went. We will be doing this again very soon. Now this is another review I didn't want to write because I want to be able to get a room when I need it. This is a marvelous, inexpensive hotel in Ohio's Amish country. I've stayed at many places in the area, but none are as clean and reasonably priced as the Dutch Host Inn. You will also find the folks there very friendly as well. read more

Nice little place in the heart of Amish country. I travel a lot for personal and business reasons so I've seen my share of hotels and motels. This was a great little motel style place to stay. Very clean. Mini fridge and microwave in room. My wife and I stayed for their "Amish Country Winter Package" promotion. When you check in they give you a coupon book for MANY local establishments with free trinkets at each one and discounts at others. We call it our "Amish country scavenger hunt". It was an awesome way to find little shops that aren't right on the beaten path. This coupon book included Free dinner and breakfast for two at your choice of several local restaurants. My only criticism was, as mentioned in a previous review, the beds were hard. I was able too sleep but the beds were harder than either me or my wife prefer. My wife and I ovenighted there on 9/20 because we were attending a concert down the road at the Star theatre. I received warmer greetings when I cash a check at my local bank. Had to drag info from the lady at the desk including "where can we breakfast tomorrow?" and "where is our room located?" Her parting comment was not "Have a pleasant evening" or "thanks for staying with us." Rather...."we are closed on Sunday, so leave the key in the room and lock the door". For a motel that advertises..." Where people come as guests and leave as friends!" not even offering a cookie or suggestions as to breakfast options on Sunday is hypocritical and poor business practice. I appreciate the local custom of not doing "servile work" on Sunday, but this is not a dollar store, and we are guests. A simple solution would be to offer guests overnighting on Saturday a "box breakfast" with a yogurt cup, bagel or Danish and a cup of juice - not expensive and good p.r. There is coffee in the room., altho ours (#29) did not have decaf or tea. Our room was very clean with very outdated wallpaper. I immediately noticed the reverberation from the air conditioner which occurred with every cycle change. My mistake was in not immediately asking for a room change. That monster, along with a squeaking bathroom door begging for the administration of wd40, successfully kept us awake, tho I shut off the air at 2:30 despite the fact we had had a 90 plus day. The microwave and frig functioned and the larger screen Samsung was impressive. I suggest one stay at one of many b&bs which have beautiful views or at the Hotel Millersburg. A final hint the Victorian house Museum in downtown Millersburg is open during tourist season on Sunday from 1-4 and well worth the admission price. there is far more there than victorian knick knacks --even guy stuff. read more

Had to cancel because my elderly mother was in an accident. They charged me for room. Know I should of given more notice but like I knew 2 or 3 days before it was going to happen. I have hospital and doctor bills for proof. I just couldn't leave town with her bruised from head to toe and her fractured sternum. Next time in area will find another hotel...... read more

I travel alot and don't get surprised very often but all I can say is WOW!. It looks like a very well manicured motor inn so I expected a room, a shower and a bed. What I got was a 1500' sq foot room that I can run laps in, a jacuzzi/whirlpool bath, a country style room with a tv and rocker in front with a fireplace. They even have basic things like enough hooks in the bathroom for clothes, towels, etc... I recommend this to anyone visiting Holmes County, OH. read more

Just ok. No deadbolt on the outside door. We didn't feel secure. Used a cooler to prop door shut. Old. Just old. Front desk was unfriendly. We've stayed at much better places than this. Sorry about this unflattering review but it is what it is. read more
