In fact, one of our contractors did use them for a relatively moderate project ($10,000 bath renovation) and the lighting was fine/nice. Three times however, we have gone into the store on our own to pick out a fixture and buy it. Three times, the salespeople acted like it was a hassle to actually show us something or look something up -- like even the price! Twice now (once over a year ago, and once just in August 2014) we have "placed an order" for an item listed in their desk-catalog and were told they would call us when the item arrived. No one EVER calls. We politely followed up about every two weeks for nearly three months and were told each time "nope" and they'd call us. The most recent order was a simple, but elegant DOORBELL!!! Unbelievable how unprofessional these people are. We will NEVER shop there again.... this little rinky-dink store is soooo inbred with the local connections, it's ridiculous! Give your business to someone who actually cares... I know we will.

I was horrified at the bill, and when I sold the house, I called another company who completed a long list of things at a much more reasonable cost. The owner's post has interesting timing. Just this evening I was talking to my former neighbor who lives across the street. He needs to be up his electrical system because he is putting in a heat pump instead of gas. I told him about my experience with this company. Stung only once.

Coil Cleaning: Dirt and pollen from spring can clog your outdoor coils. We'll clean them to restore airflow and help your system "breathe" better--lowering your energy bills and improving comfort. Full Visual Inspection: Our technician checks your AC's key components to catch small problems before they turn into breakdowns during a heat wave. I didn't see anything about gauges being examined to check refrigerant levels. The component check was questionable. As for the coil cleaning, well, when it was finished I was asked to turn the unit on from the thermostat inside. When I returned outside, the technician said he smelled something and saw smoke from the cooling fan. So he called for back-up from a fellow technician who said that I needed a new fan motor. The estimated cost for this was $600. It does seem suspiciously odd that we had not had any problems with the unit until the NuBlue technician pulled the cooling fan motor out of the unit to clean up excessive water at the bottom of the pan, and when he put it back in place the unit suddenly became inoperable. They have a TON of lights to choose from, many different styles, and plenty of catalogs to flip through. They'll also let you take a few home if you need some time to choose. In addition to lighting for every room in the house, they sell under-cabinet lighting, outdoor fixtures, and lots of ceiling fans too. For me, the catalogs are where it's at. I like mid-century modern style and there are plenty of fixtures in the Kichler catalog to suit my taste. Also, check out ET2 catalog.. wow! Susan helped us with our purchase and she was very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The owner, Gary, was also really nice. We've already returned to order a new fixture for the guest bedroom. We will definitely be repeat customers. Highly recommended!

My wife and I have shopped here several times now for lighting as we renovate our home. The in-store selection is incredible and the catalog offerings are even better. The staff is super knowledgeable and very helpful. We ordered custom lighting on 2 separate occasions and have had no problems. The lights arrived quickly and were perfect. We plan to shop here as we make our way through the house. If you're into cookie-cutter "boob lights", just go to the big retailers. But, if you want something that no one else will have, this is the place. Highly recommend.
