Service continues to disconnect. We've had to unplug router like 4-5 times a day and it consistently keeps failing. Do not recommend.

CenturyLink agents and supervisors continuously lie about repairing phone service. The techs are just as pathetic. Estimated over the last 4 years 40 calls of non working phone service on an elderly persons landline. Can't fix anything and they don't care if they do. read more

So when I moved to this area I was told what incredible customer service spark light gives but upon getting here I realized that was just a lie. I picked up my equipment was told that I should be able to just plug it in and it would work fine of course I plugged it in and it did not work fine so they made me an appointment for today and said they would make me the first earliest morning appointment they could then yesterday I get a text telling me that they will be here between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. when I called they said that was just the 24-hour notice and when I called in the morning they would give me an exact time but I was scheduled for the morning. I called back the next day and was told that I lied to them and they did not guarantee me anything in the earliest they could be there was 4:30 p.m. when I had to be to work at 4:00. They refuse to let me talk to a supervisor refuse to let me do anything other than told me that I would just have to call in for work if I wanted my internet hooked up very bad customer service. read more

The service center attendant in Sioux City absolutely does not care about completing a job. A neighbor in our HOA ordered the Sparklight service which resulted in the installation of an ugly green plastic box and thick orange cable running the length of four units. The cable was to be a temporary situation. After our members' numerous phone calls from early Spring to Fall, Sparklight's very rude office assistant simply doesn't care. She is rude and avoids any commitment to take any action. What could improve? Change out your office staff and finish the job! read more

For approximately 36 hours one of the channels has been out on my "cable" service. No estimate of when the issue will be resolved, this was my second call. I feel sorry for the tech that took my call but this is ridiculous. It's summer, we only watch one channel in the summertime and that is the channel that is not working. Now that "Cable TV" is just another streaming service it may be time to look for a new provider. read more

Tried to get Sparklight internet service setup for our business. Supposably a site survey was done and ok'd, an installer came out on a Friday, didn't know what was going on, showed up late, couldn't find the cable, left and said they would get back to us on Monday. No one ever got back to us, not even the salesperson. Now our whole staff is having to try to use their personal phones to hotspot, or use a cell service router that keeps cutting out to try to use the internet. Since our business relies almost 100% on having an internet connection, this isn't a good option. Shame on you Sparklight for not doing your job! read more

Customer service is great but internet and Tv are sketchy. Internet service has inconsistent speeds. The tv interface is a joke. I turned it on and in 30 seconds called them and canceled it. Not many other choices for fiber though. read more

If I could give them -5 stars I would. If you're working from home during the pandemic DO NOT FORGET TO PAY YOUR BILL!! I forgot to pay it last month and woke up to find out I've been disconnected, payed my bill immediately so now according to Sparklight I have to wait 24 hours to get my internet turned back on all because I forgot to make 1 payment. Horrible policy but since there's no other viable intern alternative they have you by the short hairs. Glad I can pay the bill but what about the people forced to work from home that can't? read more

I'm so disappointed. I have been working from home since March and in the last 6 or so months from service has become pure crap. My internet goes down on a daily basis. Sometimes 3min, sk by the time I call it's back up, or its 4 hours and the automated system tells me it's an outage so I hang up. Today my internet goes down yet again and out of pure frustration I requested a credit for all the time that their service is just down. They offered me a $7 credit! $7 for all the time it's been down because they only take into co consideration the times when you call in and get to a person. The automated line doesn't log a call in. So here I am missing time with work because my internet is down and they give a disrespectful $7. I pulled a Karen and asked for a manager and she'll be getting back to me in 24to72 hours which is disrespectful! read more

This company is a joke no one should ever use them for internet. I pay over 200 a month for 200mbs and don't get anywhere close to that. There answer to my shity speed was to bring a new better router out...... ya that worked so well NOT. 1.98mbs With over 400 latency. Nice so glad I pay a stupid amount of money for some trash internet. My mobile hot spot gives me better speeds. I found a new internet provider that has a 200mbs for 69.99/mo. How cable one stays in business is beyond me but stay away. read more

So bad. No matter what plan you pay for you're capped at less than 10 mbps download speed. They can fix it for about 2 hours but then it goes right back to the slowest possible internet. read more

Had it barely two weeks and motva single day has gone by that we haven't lost connection at least twice in a day. Not to mention that they have data limits on their plans? Who does that?? My last company was unlimited all day long and rarely an outage. Not at all pleased but with limited options, I'm stuck. For now....I will change provides as soon as possible. read more

My favorite part about cable one isn't their garbage tv selections!!!! What I really enjoy is how they charge me almost double the price I paid for Internet in California while offering 1/2 the speed and putting a cap on my bandwidth!!!!! NOT TO MENTION ALL THE TIMES THEY DROP MY INTERNET CONNECTION!!! Monopolies are great that way they can charge what ever they want while offering you nothing, but there are no competitors so you get stuck with them!!!! read more

I am moving to the area and called Cablone to buy services. I spoke to the rudest "sales" person I have ever encountered. She kept rambling on and when I stopped to ask her a question she YELLED at me to stop interrupting "or we are going to have a problem." I was stunned. This is the person you have selling your services. I called Longlines, the other provider in town and spoke to a wonderful representative and it was 30 dollars cheaper a month. Cableone will be receiving absolutely no money from me. They need serious help. read more

I'm rating cable one in Sioux City ia a one star because i can't give them a negative 5 stars. They have to be the biggest joke I've ever seen, i understand your employees should stand up for the company but never should they get lippy or condescending to a customer, we are the only reason you have a business. With that said no one truly knows what their doing, if you get service you WILL have issues and you WILL be blamed for them. Example; i was told my ps4 would not run their 200mb plan because it's only rated at 150mb, WRONG; it's rated at 300mb and a pro is rated up to 1gb. My issue was seriously slow internet i had 100mb/3mb (old plan) and was lucky to get 30mb/300kb so i switched to their new 200mb/20mb plan and immediately had a problem i couldn't get over 16mb/150kb so i called to switch back and was told oh no you can't that plan isn't available. So they scheduled a tech to come to my home, once he arrived he hooked up and said everythings fine and would not switch out my modem. So i called back and talked with tech support again and she told me i could take it down to the local office and switch it out, so i did as soon as i hooked it up i wad getting 160mb-180mb/20+mb, so it fixed the problem even though i was told by the tech there was nothing wrong it was just that my ps4 wouldn't run that fast of internet. WRONG! so after all this my service has been fairly consistent however i guess the tech ordered my wire leading from the street to the box on my house to be buried with a insulated pipe around the line; i had NO clue he did this however now 5 months later this subcontractor shows up and just does the work, however he completely tore up my front yard and did not stamp it back down. Now my biggest problem is the fact because he didn't do it i have s trench developing in my yard due to heavy rains in my area lately, on top of that the box is right by one of my down spouts and i have a run off to direct the water away from my foundation however when i got off work that night we had 3 inches of rain fall throughout the day and i came home to the fact he didn't replace the run off right and it literally was draining and pooling right on my foundation, now any moron would know that you want the run off point and angled away not towards. So i say if you want to pay super high bills for mediocre internet and ridiculous amounts of news channels just know when you have a problem it's your fault not theirs and believe me they will let you know.
