With the weather being foggy and our vehicles are parked outside all the time, they were pretty dirty. We decided to go for a two-fer . Lunch and a car wash. We had sparkling image downtown around noon time. As they took the car in for a wash and wax, we went in for a burger and fries. It's a comfortable place. The burger was good. There was just enough fries. And it was reasonably priced. By the time we finished eating, the car was almost ready. They did a nice job. We are likely to do this again. read more

Very disappointed in customer service. I paid $85.00. I was told if I return within the week I get a free wash. I came on a Friday then returned on a Friday because the tire shine they used through black splash marks all over my car. I was told they would not wash my car because it's within 5 days that you get a "free" wash not 7. My car is dirty becuase of your product. They also used a chemical that caused burn marks on my dash board. I drive a Lexus and now it looks like shit and I let that go and they would not wash the tire shine off that is from them. This place is the absolute worst. They are crooks. I stopped by because they had a sign buy 3 car washes and get 2 free. But when I asked about it they started running their scam. They had the price of three car washes jacked up to $160 (over $50 per wash) to take advantage of the scam. You really need to avoid these scammers at all cost. When I came to this car wash, my car was pretty dirty from travel, so I spent $90 for one of their best services to get it cleaned, through the wash and hand washed. When I got it back 10 minutes later, it was inexcusably dirty. The guy told me that it's their managers fault for prioritizing speed over cleanliness. I explained to him that for $90 I would have expected them to have all 3D elements removed from my car, no streaks left by my doors, etc. He apologized and offered to take it through again and hand wash again, they got it perfectly clean and I was very happy. Today was my second experience (only a week after my past wash). I explained the previous experience and the guy promised me it should be clean this time. He even signed me up for the unlimited wash. I had good hopes since we had communicated my expectations. However, when I received my car, it again had all of the same 3D elements I arrived with and dirty marks. (Photos from today are below) Mind you, a lot of the 3D elements I scratched off myself after inspecting it, when a worker approached me with a microfiber cloth and asked if there's an issue. I told him there's still crust on my car, but I'll handle it because at this point I'm just over the moon with disappointment. I will consider that I got the less expensive $36 wash this time, however I find this to be ridiculous and a waste of my time and money. The windows looked cleaner which is good, however, overall I'm disappointed with my experience here and will be cancelling my membership during my next visit. The people working here are nice, but niceness doesn't make up for poor work. It's a car wash... I would expect it to be clean, not a half fast job. I live downtown and got this membership as a way to have a beautiful car, keep it maintained, and for convenience since I live in an apartment. This car wash is should be a resource for the hard working people of downtown Bakersfield to enjoy reliable and quality car washes. I'm disappointed that it is not. I'm going to opt to buy some car wash soap and wax and take it to my parent's house. What an awesome experience. Not only was this a cheap and well executed car wash, interior and exterior, it was equipped with a waiting area that holds the 34th deli and cafe. The service was friendly, food delicious and end product fab. My car looked great rolling out the lot. Got an even better deal by filling up the tank before getting the wash. Took my truck in a couple weeks ago to get a full detail. 350 dollars for the best detail they've got. Upon getting my truck back they didn't bother to clean inside the rear door storages and cup holders. When I opened my tailgate it was completely untouched as well. There was wood chips a couple of pieces of trash and it's still coated in dirt (I do have a folding tunno cover) but they didnt even make an effort to clean it at all. 350 dollars for a detail is steep for a half clean car. read more

First of all, $28 for a car wash? Seriously! For less than that I can get unlimited car washes at a drive-thru and get a cleaner car. When I got to my car, there were water spots on the hatchback window and the door itself, and the wheel wells were full of dirt and mud. The interior of the car wasn't any better - dust on the dash & console, the doors had not been wiped off, there was something unidentifiable stuck on my steering wheel which I cleaned myself, and the floor mats were all still dirty ... not sure they even vacuumed the car. Best thing about the place was the cheeseburger, and that would be the only reason I would go back. Worst car wash ever and not worth even half of what I paid. Value? I was traveling through Bakersfield and wanted a quick car clean. I went to the Sparkling Image H st location and asked for an interior cleaning. For $75 and about a 45 min wait I was very impressed with the results! I do have a golden retriever who sheds a lot. We do have a seat cover but it still gets all over. The guys at Sparkling had it clean including seats, trunk, console, side pockets and cup holders. I was curious about the reviews and checked on yelp and was surprised by the 2 to 3 star average mainly citing rude service or poor cleaning, I did not find either! The waiting area was also very comfortable with what smelled like delicious Hank burgers in the little restaurant. I was less than thrilled after getting my van back from the full package detailing that cost well over $200. First thing to notice was a HUGE crack that went vertically from the bottom of the windshield almost to the top, when I spoke with the manager they stated it was due to a chip. While that may be the case with most vehicles I was entirely sure that there was no chip prior to me brining it in. Setting the crack aside my experience was still unpleasant as I did pay for the full detailing interior exterior and all, but they missed multiple obvious spots. I did request the spots be cleaned and was met with hesitation, but they did agree to re-do those spots. My husband and I have both had a few less than satisfactory experiences, I'd recommend looking into other detailing options. read more

I'm pregnant and my body was hurting so I thought I'd treat myself and get my car done for me instead of going to mister and doing it myself. Paid $36 plus a tip and I'm so dissatisfied. The outside looked ok, but the inside is still a mess. They didn't even "dust" or wipe down the inside. When I first got in my car there was stuff still all over the center console area. 7.18.24 went to get a full detailed Carwash. It was $75 which is kind of pricey but they did a great job. It took about an hour give or take. They had a lounge area that was pretty big. I would recommend forsure. read more

I wish I had read the reviews before trusting this carwash. DO NOT take your vehicle to this car wash. I had scratches and what not before on my car by one of workers. I know that things happen but at least be honest. I never filed a complaint until they broke my radio causing several hundred dollars' worth of damage due to the need to replace the broken panel. The manager, Fernando Lopez, and the assistant manager, Jose Estrada, kept saying that "the guys are trained not to turn on anything." What does that even mean? They told me that Lisa Sacco, their insurance person from supposedly their corporate office denied my claim. She blamed someone else in turn when I finally spoke with her. What kind of business causes a customer hundreds of dollars in damage to their property and essentially responds "oh well?" Do yourself a favor and find somewhere else. Better yet just take it to Costco car wash. Just buy yourself some car towels to dry off the excess water. Preventing the stress of poor customer service is worth a few minutes to take care of your car yourself. read more

My wife went there yesterday.the wash was just ok, bugs left on the front of her white suv. The people wiping the car down don't do a good job. They do a poor job on the inside and want a tip. A month ago I took my car to get washed here, the guy who drove my car into the car wash damaged my front left rim by hitting the extremely wide entrance. I immediately noticed but was first told it couldn't have been the car wash that damaged by car which it clearly was, the powder coat on my rim was literally still on the spot were they damaged my car so I of course took picture. They wrote a damage report and a week or so later a manager on the east coast contacted me and sent me to get an estimate at the auto shop they recommended. They have ghosted me for a couple weeks now and now I have to file a claim with my insurance company and let them deal with it. TRASH BUSINESS! This is a terrible car wash. Employees starting with management are so DISHONEST They lie! I went in to get my car wash. I always get an express wash, but this particular time as I was exiting the tunnel I was instructed to pull to the right (to get my vehicle dry) I heard a big pop. My drivers side back tire popped. Another employee immediately noticed and told me to pull by the detailing area instead. They filled an incident report, however now they are saying I went over the rail when I never did. They also told me the manager Juan offer my husband to watch the video when he never did, he told my husband when he went in the next morning he hadn't gotten time to look at the video. ( so why lie)They also stated no one told me to pull to the right when literally after putting the towels in my hood the employee headed out to the right where they where going to dry my vehicle. Took my jeep here with expectations of a clean exterior and interior, as it is a detailing business. Paid $125 not including the $20 tip given before looking at the car. (Our mistake). I'll just say I could've gotten a better wash next door at mister for $15. The exterior was left dirty with mud and even a bird poop. The interior looked like it was just half wiped with a rag. I went to Sparkling Image Car wash downtown with high expectations and excitement for a nice clean car, and left disappointed. The full service detailing missed MANY parts inside the car that I expected to be clean, especially for the price I paid. More importantly, there was a thick gunky residue left on the driver window, that was NOT THERE before. despite the blame from employees and manager, the gunk was not there when we arrived. 3 employees looked at the gunk and each one gave a completely different excuse, which put the blame on me. The manager was unprofessional and asked the question in a very demeaning way "I have one question for you, what do you think we have here that would leave that on your window?." It is very obvious that the residue was applied from a rag after cleaning another dirty car or gunky part of a car. It was on the window in streaks. The employees here are so ridiculously incompetent that they did not know what chemicals to use to remove the gunk, they tried several sprays and got nothing off, (water based sprays was the problem). When the manager suggested he use a razor blade (on the tint!! Not glass) I had enough and decided to leave because I would rather use my own elbow grease to clean it than have him spread it more and cut up the tint. This was a very disappointing experience. The employees, supervisors, and even manager all behaved very unprofessionally, shifting blame to the customer and acting like they enjoyed being in a debate. I will not be returning here, and if you value your car and your dignity, DO NOT shop here.
