Man, I was heading to Calkin flats campground in Kernville and half way there, I ran over something and I got a flat. I was on the freeway, pretty dangerous but decided to get the spare tire on there. Every time I looked up and saw a car or truck coming, I'd run to the side. Once I got the spare on there, I headed to Bakersfield and started yelping. Found this high review tire shop and they got me a brand new tire within 10 minutes! I LOVE these Hispanic owned tire shops as they are no nonsense businesses. They are straight forward with pricing and get shit done so quickly. It's unbelievable. $90 out the door. Done deal and I was back on the road to my camping destination. Love these guys. I tipped the guy who took care of my van's tire. Good guy. Told me he lived in South central at one time but now living in Bakersfield. He's a great guy, professional and funny as hell. 5 stars for sure!! Please tip them if you're able to when they get you taken care of. It will mean so much to them even if it's a dollar or two. DONT COME HERE!! I came for a used tire on my truck and they put a mud flapper tire on my truck and when I left it was so loud and such a rough ride. Also causes poor gas mileage. So I called and they said they would put a another tire on there for me so then I come into the shop and the owner comes up to me and I explain him what happens and he goes and looks for a tire and he comes back and tells me oh I don't have one but what I can do is I can put that tire on the back rotated to the back and it won't be as loud. I said no I don't want that kind of tire on my truck And he said that that's the only option. I said what if I go buy a used tire somewhere else and bring this tire back to you when I get a refund he said he will only give me a partial refund. I tried to explain to him that that is not cool. Nobody told me they were putting that kind of tire on my truck. I would've told him not to do anything and he told me I don't have time to sit here and go back-and-forth with you over a used tire we sell wheels and tires here I thought that was super rude and dismissive. I brought two of my BMW rims to this business to have some curb rash repaired and I was very disappointed with the results. There were only two small abrasions on one front wheel and one of the other. When the rims were ready they brought me to the darkest part of their showroom, I suspect so I would not see the grainy paint and overspray. Even in the dark I was able to feel that the finish was rough. By the time I got them out to my car the sales person had quickly retreated to the business and when I looked closely, I saw they had painted all around the outer rim and bead so there was no way to tell where the repair had been done because the finish was uniform all around the rim. The paint was roughly finished and visibly different than the smooth gloss of the original finish. There was also visible overspray on the original unpainted center portion of the wheel. The wheels look worse now than they did when I brought them in. It's ironic there are signs all over their showroom area telling people not to touch the highly polished wheels on display (to prevent fingerprints) and yet they failed to show the same regard from my expensive wheels. I'm hopeful I can have them restored to their original finish by someone that knows what they are doing. I also have another complete set of OEM wheels that I need powder-coated, but I will not be using Mr Wheel & Tire. read more

I got there with my dad and someone came up to us to get the keys. They told us to wait inside (didn't see that man anymore) went inside looking at rims and was never given ANY options on tire brands. Gave me the cheapest tire for $440 and came out to $530 and when I called the next morning I spoke with "nacho" and he gave me the most SHITTIEST attitude ever. Saying "all females are the same and same the same thing "PERIOD" as he exact words after saying they showed myself their options when they didn't. Later on in the call he said "we didn't show any options . Like u really just said you showed me options and now you're going against your own word? there's more to it but the rant is over. This place used to be on Planz Road and recently relocated to Golden State - and WOW! What a difference! A few years ago I purchased tires when they were located at the other site, and I recently called them and they mentioned they had moved to Golden State (they no longer do business on Planz). I went into their new shop for new tires and wheels was blown away with the customer service. The staff really knows their stuff! I went in not knowing exactly what kind of wheels would go with my car and the owner and one of his staff members were both so patient in helping me pick the right ones. DO NOT GO HERE FOR AN ALIGNMENT. If you need a regular alignment this might be your shop. Not if you have a lowered vehicle. Mind you I was told that they do work on lowered vehicles and can get the job done. After 2 months on the alignment my brand new tires on the rear were completely down to the wire on the inside. I took my car to one of the most reputable alignment shops in all of socal Andy's aligment. And he told me they did a horrible job in the rear the guy left my rear tires toed out hence why my tires were to the wire on the inside in 2 months. The front was not a bad alignment job at all because there is almost little to no adjustment on the camber kit, so I'll give him that lol. This ordeal set me back even more. I had to pay $500 for a new pair of continental tires for the rear (mind you I spent $1100 on a brand new set of continental tires 2 months prior). I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SHOP FOR ALIGNMENT ON LOWERED VEHICLES. Save yourself the time and money and find a decent shop that can truthfully know what they are doing and don't create a hazard for you while driving. I was on the verge of blowing a tire because the alignment job was so bad. Luckily I made it to my destination in time. Tire still went flat but was not a blowout. read more
