I had an issue with the steering column on my 2012 ford escape so I took my vehicle to get this issue fixed. Within a week the vehicle issue was fixed and I had my vehicle back on the road. The mechanic was professional and fair in pricing, I recommend this business. read more

There's not much worse than being on a road trip and having the dashboard light up with warning lights. Jesse had high reviews, and I took a chance that you all were being honest. Turns out to have been the right decision. Jesse was quick to diagnose and repair my car, with professionalism and care. While I hope to never find myself stuck away from home needing car repairs, I would go to Jesse in a heartbeat if needed. read more

I made an appointment to have my A/C looked at. I made the appointment for 11am the next day. I arrived at 10:55 on the hottest day of the year. It is already over 100 degrees. The gate is closed. I call the number and she says "I will send Jesse right out" I wait till 11:05 in 100 degree heat. I call back and Jesse answers. "Yeah, I'm running late from picking up parts, I won't be there for 45 minutes, but you can just leave the car." The area is not the best, I am not dropping my car off with someone I've never had face to face contact, and leaving my keys in a key drop. So...my question...why didn't they call me initially to reschedule? Once I was there were they going to call me and let me know what was going on? Was he just going to have me wait 45 minutes in 100+ degree heat? Update: I wish I had dug a little deeper on Yelp before making an appointment. Upon the comment left by the owner below I am glad that I didn't leave my car. It seems you get one of two experiences, either he is absolutely amazing or he has zero respect and then writes belligerent responses to truthful reviews. I do not think I am the only person with an A/C issue, but when I make an appointment I expect courtesy. read more

Did a great job installing my radio in my truck I would definitely recommend this company

Our van broke down while my wife was driving it from Visalia to LA. I called this place based on other reviews, and Jesse and his family were very accommodating all throughout the process over several days. He did good work and was very concerned for the safety of all involved. I would go to him again if I lived in Bakersfield. read more

My car broke down in Bakersfield at 6:30pm on a Friday. I was traveling through, I didn't know anyone in the area. Jesse answered my phone call and took my vehicle in right away. He and his wife, who co-operates, were so accommodating. They provided transparent quotes for services within 24 hours, and discussed my options so I could make informed decisions. If I could give him -5 stars I would. He replaced my alternator with a reman alternator which cost him less than $200.00 and a belt. He charging me $295.00 for the service call a distance of 6.4 miles, $530.89 for parts and $360.00 for labor. He wanted to charge me over $500.00 for a new battery No he had ripped me off more than enough already. I took my RV to A-1 battery because mine was less than a year old. The mechanic there told me the alternator Jesse had installed was bad proving it to me with the meter which showed 13.2volts when it should have read between 14 and 16 volts. Jesse told me he wouldn't warranty it unless I had a brand new battery. A-1 kindly warranted my battery and gave me a new one. By this point I really was unwilling to trust Jesse so the next day I took my rv to Jim Burke. The alternator was bad and they replaced it with a genuine Ford alternator for $313.18 parts and $292.50 labor. With tax Jesse charged me $1,231.02 Jim Burke including tax charged me $631.52. Jesse is a thief and I would not recommend him to anyone. Customer beware. read more

Beware. Don't take your car to be repaired by this auto shop. Very dishonest owner and he probably has all his friends post all the 5 star reviews. I'm not even going to explain because he will probably answer me with an insult and call me a liar or other choice disrespectful words. Read the answers he has posted to people who were not satisfied. He is a scam. He always has an answer to the dissatisfied customers and he will never own up to his mistakes. Just took our money and didn't offer to right what they did wrong. Please just think twice about taking your car here and do your research. He is not the only repair shop and you have a choice to get good service or be ripped off read more

I was driving my Prius on the Grapevine when i noticed the over temp indicator light up on my dash. I pulled over to let things cool down, and I did a quick search to find a shop to take the car to. I saw Bakersfield Mobile Auto Repair, read some reviews, and decided this was the guy to go to. This family owned business is a shining example of a work ethic of years gone by. Its apparent they love what they do, and take pride in their shop. Immediately i was made to feel that i was in good hands. It turns out there was ALOT wrong with my car. Jesse made my problem his own. He did not stop until every issue had been addressed. During this process i saw first hand, how this family works together to deliver superior customer service and product support. Jessie was knowledgeable and transparent about his process. He was commutative and patient. Ultimately, I felt that he went above and beyond to ensure that my car was ready to hit that Grapevine again. I highly recommend Bakersfield Mobile Auto repair if you ever find yourself broken down in the LA/Bakersfield area. You will be in very good hands :) read more

Jesse was an absolute life saver! It was 4:45 on a Friday and my daughter's car had broken down in Lost Hills. I could not be more appreciative of his dedication and customer service! Thank you Jesse!!! read more

The serpentine belt on our Duramax broke while towing our trailer to Yosemite National Park (the bearings seized up in one of the idlers). We were completely stranded. I called Jesse and he picked up right away. I explained the situation and he quickly ordered the parts, gave me a full quote and then arrived at our location off the freeway in about an hour. He texted me and kept me updated the whole time. He was very polite, personable and thorough. This is dealer quality service with fair pricing. Thank you Jesse! *Side note. If you happened to read my other reviews yes, this was the second issue we had on this camping trip! We texted Jesse the second time but he was out of town. Even though he was out of town he answered my text to let me know and he even offered some troubleshooting tips. That was very cool of him. Unbelievably we found another high quality mobile service. read more

My family went on a trip to kern river this past weekend. On the way down the hill coming into Bakersfield my ac quit. I stopped at the local gas station and noticed oil all over my engine compartment. Being a Saturday afternoon not many places were open. My son stumbled upon Jesse's automotive repair through a quick search. Luckily he was open and ready to repair my Tacoma. He cleaned it up and found that the camshaft sensors were leaking and later found the crankshaft seal leaking possibly due to the serpentine belt failing. He undertook this large repair Saturday night and was finished by bedtime. It was costly as it was a large repair (took 5 hours) but me and my family are thankful that he was there for us in our time of need. He's very friendly and professional. We got back home the next day(Sunday) two hour drive with no issues. Thank you Jesse appreciate the last minute repair! read more

I had my van towed to his shop and he replaced the alternator and had me back on the road by 10:15 pm. Jesse was a life saver. I had my wife and our 3 kids in the van with me and was truly in a bad way. Jesse will always be my hero for saving my family. We didn't get home until 3 am but at least we made it home. Been going to Jesse for years, and will probably never go anywhere else. Jesse is always able to get my vehicle in quick, and does quality work for great value. And did I mention how quick he is?! Brought my car in last week for an engine issue. He had it fixed in five hours flat (where I was expecting to have to leave the car overnight/ over the weekend at the least), and was able to fix both the engine issue AND a leaky oil valve for a fraction of what other mechanics in town would have charged. Jesse is more than fair with his pricing, and is always looking for your best interests. He's honest, knowledgable, and gives a full and complete breakdown of costs and what services he will be doing BEFORE you sign the work order- contrary to what these other comments may say. It was Christmas Eve and I was 300 miles from home on top of the grapevine with two kids and two dogs when my car showed a strange alarm. The mechanic at Bakersfield mobile auto repair picked up the phone thank goodness! He talked me through several possible explanations for my car's symptoms. Only one situation would result in us not having to get a tow to Bakersfield and take greyhound or Amtrak all the way up to the Bay Area. He told me how to test my car. It worked, nothing was really wrong with my car it was a sensor issue. So this mechanic truly saved Christmas! He is knowledgeable about Priuses too which is not always the case. Had car troubles after I crossed over The Grapevine coming from LA, I was able to coast into Bakersfield and found this shop through Yelp. It was late night, so I grabbed a hotel nearby and waited for them to open. The mechanic that greeted me was very polite and professional. I had gone to Auto Zone to get the check engine light readouts beforehand, and since I had those already, I was given an estimate very quickly. I decided to choose the shop over other options, and I was very happy with the entire interaction. They were even able to accommodate picking my car up after their posted hours (since I was coming from LA, this was VERY helpful) I don't plan on breaking down in Bakersfield again, but I can tell you now if I do, then I know where to go! I'd definitely recommend this shop! read more

I have a 2002 Mitsubishi Eclipse that was having massive transmission trouble up in Sequoia. Got towed to Jesse based on the Yelp reviews and a quick phone call. When we got there, we talked about the potential issues and estimates on worst-case-scenario costs, including a potential transmission rebuild. We agreed on a few options, and he followed up the next day on the diagnosis. Lo and behold, the issues turned out to be about a third of the estimate we talked about. He accurately identified the cause of the problem and fixed it without adding on any unnecessary parts and labor. When we came back to get the car, he talked us through what he did and showed us the broken parts he removed. He also pointed out where we should plan to do maintenance in the future and identified exactly the parts that we should focus on next. Jesse and Natalie are incredible. Responsive, knowledgeable, patient, kind, helpful. I highly recommend this shop and I will be going back. read more

Jesse and his son are saints in my book! We had a flat tire after the Grapevine and needed a mechanic since the wheel studs were stripped and this was after 6:00pm. No other shop was able to help us with this but Jesse. We had to get it towed but the tow truck driver was only able to take the 3 of us and my husband was left on 1-5 in 100 degree weather. Jesse not only spent over 3 hours after his shop was closed to help fixed our car but offered his car for me to pick up my husband. He replaced the wheel studs and we were back on the road which was a 4.5 hour drive home. We appreciate his hard work and the kindness he had for our family! Thank you so much Jesse and son! Hands down one of the most accommodating mechanics. I was on my way up to San Francisco when my brakes started shaking my car vigorously down the grapevine. Panicking at the vibrations, I stopped and call AAA who directed me to a shop who didn't answer my calls. **Updated review* To Jesse the owner. I was never vulgar and rude or demanding to you on the phone. I asked if you could Install a starter. There's something seriously wrong with you. You are a pathological liar and trash. You call me a little girl, why don't you act like a Man and tell the truth?! Folks look at the way he talks to people on here, he is unprofessional and a liar. Go to him at your own risk. And I'm so glad he didn't get a penny of my hard earned cash. Saw great reviews so I gave him a call to see how much install of a starter would be. He was very rude and unprofessional and just said "I wouldn't be able to do it" when I asked why,he didn't give a reason and just hung up on me! Who does that? I don't understand how he can conduct business like that and get customers. read more

The owner was late to our appointment by an hour. We had to call and see if he was coming. He said he was running late. So we waited. Husband got attitude from him. We thought it was the coolant reservoir. No. After the owner looked at it, it was the radiator. This guy wanted to charge us $750 to replace it!!! We said no thanks. We'll just pay the $85 diagnostic. He then added $5 because he uses a Square to process credit cards. Bull. I love when merchants have the square, but never have I been charged $5. We just paid it and left, not worth dealing with his attitude. In response to owner's reply: Nope. We saved ourselves $750 and paid you $85 to diagnose the problem. Don't come off altruistic with me. I do not want your God blessings that are fake nor the $5. read more

My Rv stalled on I5 southbound, Grapevine area ( ECU Light ). I picked this shop because it received positive reviews. I'm glad I did. Jesse quickly diagnosed the problem ( Failed Fuel pump and filter ) and came up with a plan. Jesse and Natalie, the owners and operators are the Dream Team. They are fair and honest. My family are thankful for the hard work and going the extra mile. This company helped me after I was scammed by a mechanic that is using a business name that is similar to his. He took the time to meet me at at tire dealership to confront the "scammer". Man was this guy a life saver! I was driving from Los Angeles to San Francisco when stopping to get gas outside of Bakersfield. Jesse is a stand up dude, and he does incredible work. He saved my ass in multiple ways this summer... A little backstory: I was on a 2 month road trip around the country in a 2000 Dodge Caravan that originated in Florida. I had a water pump go out on me in Utah, and I had just had it fixed and assumed that everything was tip-top. I made it to Arizona fine, then drove from Phoenix to Bakersfield with the plan of camping at Carrizo Plain. When I got to Bakersfield, the car started overheating like crazy. It was Memorial Day, and pretty much everywhere was closed. Jesse answered the call, and was able to meet me at his shop a couple of hours later. We thought it was the thermostat. Jesse replaced it as I waited and topped off some other fluids and checked the van out. As the van was idling and we were about to take care of payment, we noticed the idle sounded rough. Jesse checked the tailpipe and there was moisture dripping out. He checked the sparkplugs and there was coolant mixed with the oil. He assured me that these were both tell tale signs that the head gasket was blown. This was a tough spot to be in... It would take 3 days to dismantle the engine and get to the block and have it checked out a machine shop to ensure I hadn't cracked it. If the block was fine, we could replace the head gasket (pricey). If the block wasn't fine, we'd need to replace the engine (more pricey). Replacing the head gasket was going to be expensive. It was a 50-50 bet whether or not the block was cracked. I made the choice to save time and potentially save money by putting a refurbished engine into the van. Jesse shopped around and found me a used engine that would work. Unfortunately, the company sent an engine that had been mislabelled and it ended up not fitting my van. So it had to go back. Jesse stayed on top of it and found me ANOTHER engine that would work for a similar price. This entire process took over a week. I was lucky enough to have a friend in Oakland that I stayed with during this time. Jesse stayed in contact every step of the way via text and phone calls. I got back to Bakersfield to pick up my van on the day that my girlfriend was due to arrive at LAX. Jesse was on schedule and had the van almost completed. Once it was all put together with the fluids all topped off, Jesse took it for a test drive.... and it OVERHEATED. Turns out: it needed a new radiator. What a nightmare! Now I was definitely going to be late picking up my girl from LA. I didn't know what to do... I was about to scramble to get a rental car when Jesse did something incredible: HE OFFERED TO LET ME TAKE HIS PERSONAL CAR TO PICK MY GIRL UP. Let that sink in. Jesse - a mechanic who barely knew me - realized I was in a tough spot and let me borrow his PERSONAL VEHICLE to drive TWO HOURS during rush hour to pick my girl up from the airport. I was so grateful - I told him I would be super careful and would pick her up and come right back, and he responded: "Take your time... take your girl out to a nice dinner and then get back to me, no worries." That's exactly what I did. And When I got back to Bakersfield that night (around 9pm no less!), Jesse had the new radiator put in and the van was ready to go. I gave him a hug before I left. I have never hugged a mechanic in my life, haha. Jesse is one of the most stand-up guys I've ever met. He helped me out in so many ways, he went above and beyond, and he explained everything to me every step of the way. Jesse is honest and he does great work. He's thorough and he's dependable. He deserves as much business as he can handle. Thank you Jesse for saving my ass and not taking advantage of me! I'm forever grateful for your help and wish you nothing but the best in the future. read more
