We reached out two days before our event to request balloon decorations for a birthday party, and the booking process was incredibly easy. We called to check their availability, and they directed us to fill out the contact form on their website. We submitted it, and they got back to us the next day to review the details. After that, they sent a proposal by email, which was simple to update, and once we approved everything, we made the payment. On the day of the event, the only hiccup was timing. We told them that setup was scheduled for 3:30pm and the party would start at 5pm. When we didn't see them for a while, we tried calling but didn't get a response. They didn't arrive until around 4:40-4:45pm, which was much later than we expected. They mentioned they thought 3:30pm was just the earliest they could arrive, but we actually needed them there at 3:30pm. Thankfully, once they arrived, the setup was quick, efficient, and they finished in no time. The balloon arrangements themselves were absolutely stunning. We received so many compliments, and they completely transformed the space. They understood the aesthetic we were going for and executed it perfectly. Despite the timing miscommunication, I would still use them again because their customer service was great throughout the planning process, everything was easy to coordinate, and their work was beautiful. With clearer communication on arrival times next time, it would easily be a 5-star experience. read more

Had to order some balloons last minute (same day) for a surprise engagement party and Sparky's pulled through! Super easy - we just called, told them our order, and then they told us what time we could pick them up. The only downside was that it was a bit expensive - I think it was about $80 for everything. They have lot of different colors and designs to choose from which is great and sizes as well! read more

I was so pleasantly surprised! I was nervous of placing an order online without having seen the arrangements in person. But to my greatest delight, the arrangement looked even better than the pictures and what I was expecting. But the best part is how nice and accommodating everyone was. I had a special request to have the arrangements delivered early for a surprise, and they worked with me to be stealthy and deliver at the most convenient time. Before you order balloons here two things to know. 1- Helium latex balloons really only last for 24 hours or so, so get the mylar if you want them to last longer. The dark colors seemed to last slightly longer than white. 2- They close at 2. Hard stop. They called me (from a number in Sausalito, so I did not pick up) at 1:47 and in a panicked and not so friendly way made clear if I was not there at precisely 2, I would have no balloons. I feel like they could do a way better job of communicating this early close and also of sending reminders for pick up, say maybe earlier in the day. A little customer service goes a long way. Should I remember I ordered balloons? Yes. Do I also have 5,000 other things going on? Also yes. They have a good selection even though the ordering is all in advance now. I miss being able to go in and pick things up spontaneously. read more

We ordered the Elmo balloon arrangement for our son's 22nd birthday and it was a HUGE hit! I thought it would be only 4 ft tall. It turned out to be around 5'6" lol. I called Sparky's to order a balloon bouquet for a birthday party. I was unable to get through to a live person to walk me through my order . I wanted an Instagram worthy background. What I got was not Instagram worthy nor was it even noticed by the guest of honor which was super disappointing $168 later. Yes, the balloons were delivered on time. But you couldn't make out the number. It looked like a telescope because it wouldn't t stay in the correct direction to read it. I wrote the company about my disappointment with their product and Sal did return my call to understand my "less than great experience" , with his balloon company. Because he could not guarantee how helium floats, he could not compensate me for my failed balloon experience but did explain, had I ordered an air balloon not helium it would have tracked better. Since no one returned my call I didn't know the difference but now I am better informed for the next event. So that is why I am a "maybe" for this business. I am sure they provide a wonderful experience for most , but for me I was totally disappointed, and then more so with his lack of concern for my customer service complaint. Sal was very polite and very professional with his rehearsed " we don't guarantee how a balloon floats" policy, but needless to say, he could have done something to make me feel better to want to order from him again. Purchased balloons for my daughter's 6th bday. We surprised her in the morning with the balloons and told her they could play w them after school. They come home in the afternoon and the Mylar balloon had popped and both kids were so upset. I called Sparky's and the owner said to bring the balloon down so he could see it. He said heat can cause the helium to expand and the balloon popped, but the quality of the balloon was sound. He came back with another balloon and wanted to charge me $10 for it. I told him we did not play w the balloon and I've now travelled twice to the store and already paid $60. He said the heat in our house is not his problem. I understand that but told him the balloon should be inflated less if heat in an indoor house can cause it to pop. He said his machines can't adjust pressure they are set. But then he said he under inflated the second balloon, so he contradicted himself. He wouldn't budge on charging me so I left without a balloon for my daughter. I like to support small businesses but never again Sparky's with this owner. read more

I paid a big premium to use this place over others and paid the upcharge for the longer lasting balloons. Within 8 HOURS they were mostly deflated. I loved my experience with Sparky's balloons! From the time of placing my order to delivery and disassembly - the team was communicative and friendly. The balloon arrangement we selected was for our gender reveal. We had two 7ft columns of pink and blue and one 3ft black surprise balloon. The delivery was fantastic - the installer was so kind and helped me determine exactly where to put the balloons, he installed in a timely manner, and he gave me tips on how to prevent the balloons from popping (since it had become a bit windy). We had so many compliments on the balloons from our guests and passerbys. The disassembly was quick and efficient. He took the stands and outdoor weights, while letting us keep the balloons. If you're looking for balloons with helium that would last less than 10 hours then this is the place to go. Save yourself the trouble and purchase balloons from your local super market instead.  I ordered my balloons a day in advance thinking it would last me at least 24 hours. Picked up the balloons mid afternoon and my balloons started going limp before midnight. I called Sparkys in the morning and asked why my balloons deflated so damn quick. The lady on the phone basically blamed me instead. Apparently, I was suppose to let her know if I wanted my balloons up in the air for more than 10+ hours. And then basically offered to give me a lecture on how helium works. She even tried to suggest the wind may have contributed to the downfall of our balloons (we walked a block from the store to our car).  I wish I was exaggerating but my free Nordstrom helium ballon outlasts Sparky's any day of the week. Won't be returning. read more

They always have lovely seasonal window displays that are fun to walk by. Our baby wandered in there one day and was gifted a pretty balloon by a member of the staff which made his day. I ordered balloon columns for my son's 25th birthday. What I received was a 2 and a 5 on ribbon with a few small balloons at the bottom of the numbers and around the weight at the floor. Not at all what was ordered. When I spoke with them, they said they were out of what was needed to make the columns so upgraded to the ribbon instead (definitely not an upgrade).
