Sparky's is a gas station/convenience store outside of Lake View, Iowa. It sits on a main highway (forgive me, can't remember which one) that runs through Iowa. There's gas and a mainstay area that has candies, chips, sodas, etc. There is also an area in the back for seating where my father in law goes early in the mornings to drink coffee.
- Good for snack junk food, fried cheese balls, Godfather's personal pizzas, warm sandwiches, and burritos.
- They also have a fried chicken area where you can pick out a few pieces to make a dinner (it's in the same place as the rest of the warmed-up/fried food)
- Coffee is horrendous, even for gas station coffee. Plus there is no liquid creamer option - only the powdered stuff. I have to say, I was appalled at this even knowing I was in small-town, middle-of-nowhere Iowa. I mean... these people drink a lot of coffee out here and there's no liquid creamer? Odd.
Overall Sparky's is a mainstay to the people of Lake View. Obviously a lot of people rely on this place for gas and even for eating every so often. read more
