There's gas and a mainstay area that has candies, chips, sodas, etc. There is also an area in the back for seating where my father in law goes early in the mornings to drink coffee. - Good for snack junk food, fried cheese balls, Godfather's personal pizzas, warm sandwiches, and burritos. - They also have a fried chicken area where you can pick out a few pieces to make a dinner (it's in the same place as the rest of the warmed-up/fried food) - Coffee is horrendous, even for gas station coffee. Plus there is no liquid creamer option - only the powdered stuff. I have to say, I was appalled at this even knowing I was in small-town, middle-of-nowhere Iowa. I mean... these people drink a lot of coffee out here and there's no liquid creamer? Odd. Overall Sparky's is a mainstay to the people of Lake View. Obviously a lot of people rely on this place for gas and even for eating every so often.

When you try to use the restroom, the workers literally take the broom and stick it under your stall to sweep while you're in there trying your best to go to the bathroom in privacy. Several Kun & Go trash cans are usually filled by the late afternoons. These garbage cans were not filled and I will assume based on the traffic, they are removed regularly throughout the day. You are about an hour away from Omaha to the west and one hour away from Des Moines to the east. The location is not remote, with fast food restaurants nearby and another gas station across the street. I will remember this pit stop the next time I head east towards Des Moines if I need to rest break.
