I've actually not met thing one and thing two, so I'm going off of rumor, but work with me here, work with me. There's a large selection of wines organized by country from cheap to more expensive. There's plenty of juice and liquors, and a decent selection of crisps. I always have an urge to sing 'Oh my darlin' clementine' when I walk in here, so I have to tape me mouth shut and communicate by gesture. the workers though never fail to be amicable and carry on a good conversation.

We were both really craving a chilled glass of wine. With great urgency, I googled "wine" and found that I was standing 25 meters from a wine bar. Laithwaits (wine shop with a focus on unique international wines) boasts its own wine bar and tasting room called the Arch Bar and we got there just in time for Happy Hour. Got a couple glasses each of their dry whites and loved the variety and ability to taste them before ordering. 3£ per glass. Great place to come with groups as they have a large community style tasting table in the middle. Would definitely try and find my way back here next time I am in London!
