I want to warn other local businesses about my experience with Spartan Sports. Over the years, my company spent thousands of dollars with them under the impression that funds or advertising support would benefit local schools. After speaking directly with schools, I was told that some schools had previously worked with Spartan Sports but later stopped. I was also informed that certain schools no longer wanted their information used in connection with these solicitations. Based on my experience, I believe the company's sales practices were misleading and did not match what was represented to my business. Because of these concerns, I have turned the matter over to my credit card company's fraud department for investigation. I encourage other businesses to carefully research any organization before making payments and to contact the schools directly to verify any claimed affiliation or fundraising partnership. If others have had similar experiences, you may also want to review your records and speak with your financial institution. read more

I wish I would have done research before donating. Do not trust this business. They will tell you they are working with your local High School on getting them T-shirts. When you call the High School they tell you not to trust them and that is a made up story (Scam). read more

I have worked with Spartan Sports & Lena Locke for over a decade and they are such a quality company on so many levels. The work they do is outstanding. I volunteer with many local non-profits in the City of Shasta Lake and Spartan Sports has helped with the fund-raising with most of them. They have produced the annual Shasta Damboree Book for over a decade, raised all the funds to print thousands of copies that we could distribute across the northstate for free! Another non-profit was provided custom T-Shirts for our fundraising efforts by way of Spartan Sports contacting numerous supports to place their advertising on the shirts. Like others have commented, we were solicited to advertise on t-shirts as a fundraiser for a local school. We just learned that the school hasn't seen a dime of money nor the shirts. Furthermore, they HADN'T EVEN HEARD of Spartan Sports. I've been sending them money for years thinking that I was supporting the school. They've even go so far as to send me a t shirt with all the local sponsors on it. This is out and out fraud! read more

So I'm sad to have to leave this review because I was convinced this company was on the up and up and one of the good ones actually producing the shirts they take money for. However, we sent these guys a few hundred dollars in order for them to produce "hundreds" of fundraising shirts for our local high school. We even called the school and confirmed with the Athletic Director that they were in fact legit and they were expecting shirts from them. But we first spoke with them back in Feb of 2020 and they kept saying "Oh we're waiting for school to get back in session" and I spoke with a very kind and convincing manager who kept assuring me that despite various delays we would get a copy of the shirts sent to our business. That has never happened. She called us and asked us "Oh have you received the shirts yet, we sent them weeks ago" and that was three weeks to this day. We feel as if we've been duped, and we will try and contact our credit card company in order to retrieve what we gave to these guys. read more

Spartan Sports called me, and fixed the entire item. The general manager was very kind and this is a family-owned business. They acknowledged the two individuals that were in charge with follow up and fixing my situation, were at error, and the GM didn't realize my situation had never been fixed and was very kind on the phone and wanted to provide a resolution (as the owner thought there had already been one). ~ That's all I ever wanted. ~ Thank you Spartan Sports for your follow up and fixing the situation, I respect and appreciate your efforts. I am far from perfect in my life and in my business, but I do try my best and what I do respect and love, is someone who fixes situations and says "sorry." No higher level of kudos can be given, as that's not always easy in my book. Thank you to the general manager for remedying this situation. My heart is happy. read more
