However, you can order items off the website and pick them up here, if they're in stock. If you want a specific size or pattern, this saves you from driving to Freshfields only to not find what you were looking for. The pick up window is small, so I'd recommend only doing this if you're semi-local. Lilly Pulitzer clothes are a little too girly (and colorful) for me, but I love their planners and accessories. I ordered a 2022-2023 planner and a keychain wallet online, had them gift wrapped, and picked them up here recently. The associates had my order ready as promised and were super nice with the pick up process. When you shop here, your purchase comes in a really nice reusable bag, which is fun to walk around Freshfields with and reuse to help the environment. The bag sure makes grocery shopping less dull, too!

On my recent expedition through King Street, I revisited this place...one of my fave boutiques…read more Not only a fave, but I probably spend more money on clothes here than any other on this street. They have such cool, casual, travel-friendly apparel and accessories! I will say, however, that on my recent visit, the store just didn't look good. I just remember being a bit more impressed with the store aesthetics in the past. Not sure why, but the place looked unkempt and out of sorts. Again, possibly the huge crowd on the day I was there?? Still, I left the store with at least 2 clothing items...which I KNOW will come to good use. For some reason, I tend to wear clothes bought from here often. Why...SO comfy!!! I included a few pics of clothes I bought from the store within the past few years...clothes that I still love! I just wish I took pictures of everything I bought from the store...but I can only find a few pics. Anyway, just a tribute review for a great boutique that I've enjoyed over the past several years. I'm actually quite surprised that there are so few reviews and pictures on their Yelp page! Well, here's my few cents!

If you are reading this it is likely you want to know one of two things: 1. How does this Tina…read moreStephens compare to other locations or 2. What the heck IS Tina Stephens? So, here goes: 1. How does this Tina Stephens compare to other locations? I can only compare this location to the one on King Street downtown- or the web site. This location is on the one hand more intimate and easier to get in and out than the downtown location. There tends to be only one staff person and that individual tends to be less knowledgeable BUT the downtown staff is just a phone call away for them. Also, if you know what you want, they can get it. Other than the basics (see below), both stores offer many items not available at all on the website (which is a unique thing about this company). 2. What the heck IS Tina Stephens? Tina Stephens is a clothing store that sells the best leggings ever. My favorites are the micro rib. Sometimes when I am at work hurrying through my day I actually notice how comfortable they are (and have a moment of gratitude). The leggings come in a large number of trending colors and they also have matching tanks, v-necks, Mock turtle neck and other style tops, as well as skirts and dresses. Plus, they sell a unique style of elegant (but not too dressy- perfect for my work environment) clothes that go with leggings/tops/bottoms. If you only look at the website you might think "this stuff looks like sausage casing, I can't wear that" but it's the other clothes they sell in the stores (but not as much in the website) that makes it all so flattering. It's worth taking some time in the store to figure it all out.

Holly & Brooks - Beautiful women's boutique at Freshfields Village

My sisters' trip to Holly & Brooks was so memorable that word of it made it all the way from one…read morecoast to the other within hours... and not in a good way. First let me say that both of my sisters have exquisite taste. They are both well-traveled, well-groomed, polite and have money to spend. They both have had a very rough couple of months as of late and were looking forward to a little retail therapy. They would have spent some (or perhaps a generous amount) of that money last Monday, with any encouragement, but apparently the clerk in attendance had a bee in her bonnet and wanted to put the kibosh on that scenario. Perhaps the clerk has had a rough couple of months too, but if sales is your livelihood, snap out of it or stay home... that should not be the customers' problem. You are in retail and it's your job to be friendly and helpful. One sister had secured her dressing room and the second sister approached. The Clerk (I would refer to her as sales associate, but as I mentioned before, she clearly wasn't interested in sales or even making guests in the store feel comfortable or welcome) told the second sister she would have to wait, as the dressing rooms were occupied. The Clerk went away and the sister with the dressing room invited in the second sister. Both sisters were in the dressing room in various states of undress when the clerk threw open the curtain and said, "How's that fitting?" Here, I will insert a note to the extraordinarily rude and out-of-line clerk: NEVER disregard the privacy of potential customers. Whipping open the curtain is an emotional assault. It is customary in civilized circles (from Bergdorf Goodman right on down to Target) to approach the outside of the curtain, inquire cheerfully as to how things are going in there, and ask if there is anything needed in a different size, or can I get you anything else? THESE are the questions. And THIS is how it's done. From behind the curtain! But wait. There's more. So the second sister is trying on a dress that has a belt with it. The first sister thought it much more flattering on the second sister without the belt. An aside here: the first sister spent decades in the fashion industry in New York City. She knows what looks good. She knows how to style. She knows what style is. Apparently, The Clerk thought she did too. She grabbed the belt from the second sister and said, "NO! It goes like this!" She wrapped the obi type sash around my sister's waist and commanded, "Put your finger HERE!" What are we... six years old and having our first lesson in tying bows on Christmas presents? Again, RUDE and totally uncalled for! When people enter a store looking to brighten their day with a little shopping, the last thing they need is condescension and unfriendly treatment. Needless to say, my sisters both left this store with nothing but a very sour taste in their mouths courtesy of The Clerk. In the words of the Dalai Lama, "Be kind whenever possible. It is always possible." It also promotes the spending of money when you treat people nicely. Just sayin'.
