I originally chose Specialized Physical Therapy solely based on their location. It didn't take me long however to realize I would go to this facility no matter where they were located!! From the moment you walk in the front door, you are warmly greeted by the front office staff. Always smiling, offering cold and hot beverages and making sure you are comfortable. Each therapist has their specialty ( hence the name?). I had the pleasure of working with Jeff (who is also the owner) and Brad. Both were excellent therapists, they knew my "quirks" (Brad quickly found out if I was talking too much, I began to modify my routine!) and how to get the best out of our sessions. The facilities were spotless, there is a large open area along with private rooms and a semi private icing area. My family and I have been patients of Specialized Physical Therapy since they opened. All of the therapists are so knowledgeable and truly care about getting you back to optimal health. From back issues, to sprained ankles, or pt after a knee replacement for my mother in law..... SPT has it all. The team of professionals are just that....PROFESSIONAL and they specialize in their disciplines. They are continually going to continuing ed to learn more. My favorite thing that I did while I was there was their Alter G machine. It's like a treadmill but has air that balloons up on the bottom so that I can be half my weight. I'm not doing it justice but google Alter G and you'll be amazed of the technology. It truly helped me get back walking without crutches sooner. Thanks SPT! I have been a repeat patient of Therapist, Jodi Reerink who is Postural Restoration Certified. I am amazed at her extensive knowledge of the human body. She is kind and caring and I now know how to get myself back into place when I'm out. Oh how I wish I would have seen her many years ago. Anyone with any kind of joint problems should contact Specialized Physical Therapy and the friendly staff will set you up with the therapist that best fits your needs. Also, anyone that participates in any sport, I highly recommend you get analyzed to see if they can help you improve or help you get an injury healed properly. My teenage daughter had been to a variety of physical therapists trying to find a solution to her growing pain and discomfort. We found Jodi at Specialized Physical Therapy and she recommended using postural restoration (PR) as a treatment. With kind and gentle instruction from Jodi, my daughter is now pain free and can again participate in all her activities. The entire staff has been friendly and helpful. The front desk and billing staff were fantastic too. They found ways to schedule around a very busy teenage student and the billing is straight forward and easy to understand. The front office staff is very polite, cheerful, and friendly. They always remember my name .The therapists are very knowledgeable. They push you to accomplish your personal goals. Jodi, at Specialized Therapy on Maple Street, is responsible for teaching me a new way of walking, sitting, standing, driving, sleeping and exercising to relieve years of chronic pain up and down my right side. I had been to chiropractors, acupuncturists, doctors, and did not want to resort to pain killers or surgery. She has given me the tools to relieve my pain. With a regime of specific and customized exercises and stretches, I have learned to change postural imbalances. She is patient, kind, and knows her stuff! Thank you for working with me and my knee injury even when I admitted up front that my only exercise is walking from the far end of the parking lot to the stores. I have learned various exercises to do, the muscles that they affect, and how to position myself against further harm by doing the exercises incorrectly. All of the staff are friendly, positive, and really enjoy helping non-exercisers like me to do basic exercise. And they even help me to stay motivated to exercise on my own after therapy ended. Sal and team at the Pacific Village location were great in helping me to rehab my shoulder. The group is very professional and knowledgeable. Appointments were available around my busy schedule, especially when booked a few weeks in advance. Modern equipment and comfortable interior. Best physical therapy in Omaha. The staff was friendly and the therapists were well-trained and competent. They made sure you were not in any pain. They would continue to work with you until your problem was resolved. In my case, it was a hip replacement bursitis. Went to Specialized PT d/t pinched nerve in lower back. Was fearful injury would hold me back from normal activities I enjoy, running and motorcycle riding (examples). The friendly and knowledgeable staff gave me the instructions needed so I was able to get back in the gym and ride my bike. read more
