Today was the first time that l was able to come in this store and was genuinely surprised by the…read moreamount of quality items that they had from vintage clothing to unusual earthenware dishes that would grace any kitchen. As l looked round l soon realised that they had a lot of antique items in store that would put some antique shops in glasgow to shame. I must have spent at least 15 minuets looking around and noticed that there was a steady flow of delivery of donations by customers, staff where polite and helpful highly recommend this store to anyone that likes vintage items weather it would be clothing to china sets, books or paintings Blythswood care has it all.

We had some spare time in the morning before had to head to the Inverness airport to catch our…read moreafternoon flights, and so spent a nice hour and a half walking thru Inverness High Street, and was super delighted to spot this Barnado's store, as am a massive fan of charity shops, and especially the bargain prices they sell their books for. So of course upon entering the store, I had my eyes peeled for bookshelves and spotting them in the rear back on the left, made a beeline towards that area, and discovered a treasure trove of great books! What was especially interesting was to find a whole bunch of books relating to China, from Quotations from Chairman Mao to Joy Luck Club! It made me internally speculate as to the populace of Inverness and their reading habits to be honest. The Barnado's had a 4 books for £1.99, which was a fabulous deal. Unfortunately, I could only find two books I absolutely wanted to purchase and so just got those. It was a very good variety and selection of fiction, and the young boy serving on the counter was very sweet, so definitely recommend coming and checking this store out! Yelp 89/ 2019

They carry a ton of different merchandise made in Scotland. You can find everything from clothes to food and everything in between. Unfortunately, we only had about 30 minutes to explore the store. It was not enough time to find great deals. The products we were interested in were priced higher than other stores we had visited that day. We ended up purchasing nothing. There were staff present, but no one assisted us. If someone had, then we probably would have bought some goods. Although, we were unsuccessful in finding good deals, you may be lucky. So the three stars is because this store only had ONE small table of sweaters made in England!!…read more The name is very misleading as nothing in the store is made in Edinburgh, or indeed anywhere in Scotland, and so if you purchase anything from this shop, the money isn't really supporting local industry. On the plus side, you can get everything at a great price, but for me, I really want to shop and support local. There is also a section for accessories which I absolutely love! Their handbags are fantastic quality. I like their shoes but don't find them particularly comfortable. A fantastic singer was on stage sharing a variety of tunes from different eras. We tried the Fried Mars Bar for dessert which seems local a local "delicacy" as we saw it on the menu a bunch of places in town. It was definitely indulgent but the Mars Bar itself kind of got lost in the process or seemed to melt away in the frying. The staff was friendly and they've got a decent whisky selection too. Loved the cow art on the bathroom doors!

It is well-laid out in different sections and has a great range of make-up, shower and bath lotions, body lotions, deoderants, there are also the standard range of vitamins and cold and flu remedies. They also sell perfumes and electric bits and pieces like straighteners and hair stylers. The staff are ever so friendly and the pharmacy is rarely very busy.
