When I picked up my new glasses yesterday, I was given a good service by Cherie of #SpecsaversRedbankPlaza. My glasses fit well and Cherie's input on the kind of frame my face suits was spot on. I'd love to have her handle my next glasses next January. The optometrist was great too. Because I am diabetic and have a problem with cholesterol, the optometrist check up was really intensive. I couldn't fault their services. read more

This franchise is to be AVOIDED if you want well-fitted, correctly scripted glasses or contacts. My family have been long-time patients at this franchise, however in the past 3 years their service has been abysmal. My short-sighted daughter (who can't see without her glasses) was told to "wear in" the incorrectly scripted glasses (and ill-fitted frames) she received. They refused to replace them until another Specsavers called them to confirm the script error. My husband was then supplied an ill-fitted sunglasses script/frame which he did not select and upon collection they insisted we owed them more money plus they didn't want to resupply with the correct frame. A robust discussion had to occur instore before they would agree to resupply. I was then bullied into a pair of distance sunglasses which I explained to them didn't work the last time they supplied them. Again, the sunglasses are the incorrect script and after a fortnight of having to "wear them in", they refuse to honour their promise of a replacement pair of access lenses for my daily job - which I originally went in for! Suffice to say I threw my brand-new sunnies into the charity specs recycle bin. Two of the optometrists seem competent, Hiromi and Vedda, however, if you have anything other than a basic myopia they are hopeless to prescribe the correct script. Anyone with astigmatism should go elsewhere - which is about half the population. All the optical dispenser are CLUELESS and you WILL be disappointed with your script/glasses you have filled here. read more
