    1 star because you have to wait hours to drop off equipment that doesn't work. This is and has been an issue even before covid.

    This is the worse. Spectrum sucks. I went there today with 3 bad remote controllers. I signed in…read more The manager was walking by and I said I just need to swap these controllers for some that work. He said I can't do that. We have to go into the system and put it in there. I told him I was in a rush and was just there on my lunch. He didn't give a shit. He went over and played twitch a tv. Now there was a lady worker with 2 people just sitting there talking and laughing. Meanwhile instead of helping getting the line down the manager went into the back room. Now I have 8 people ahead of me. There was 1 other worker and he got up and went in the back room. Now we have 1 worker the lady still talking and laughing with no people getting helped. One guy was there to pay his bill but no one was there to help him so he said fuck this and walked out. Final after a 45 minute wait the one guy comes back and calls me over. I told him I needed replacement controllers. He said no problem and handed me 3 controllers. I told him these aren't the right ones. He told me that is all we have. So after a 50 minute wait I y told kim to keep the wrong ones. Oh, and the lady worker is still there bullshitting and laughing with 10 people waiting to be taken care of. The store is a joke. If the equipment wasn't so shitty it wouldn't break down so often. People were bitching and you would think that the manager would have helped or told the lady worker to take care of some but we wouldn't have want to disturb her conversation. All I can say is Fuck them.

Yesterday it was my equipment. So what's the truth. Plus I have the worst resection for the cell. I pay about $300.00 a month for this great service. Taking all equipment back tomorrow, maybe only get internet service and the cells. My new bill would be about $100.00. That 200 X 12 = 2400.00 savings per year. And Spectrums loss

We received the following bills and paid the following: August 23, 2025: $105.00 + $78.82 + $396.60 (I understand that some of these were the taxes for the phones) September/October 2025: $597.27 November 2025: $375.90 December 2025/January 2026: $604.50 February 2026: $390.81 March 2026: $306.54 Every month, I contact the Store Manager in the Clifton Park, NY store because our bills are way over what they should be. She tells me the credits will hit our account and everything will even out. I stopped believing her in November. We set up auto-pay on Aug 23 (I gave the store associate a blank check w my account number in the store!) and it never took effect, we are being charged for insurance and who knows what else; the ATT statements are impossible to understand. I know we were told our monthly bill would be $152.83 plus taxes and fees for service and the payments for 5 phones, and that was the furthest from the truth. Well, here we are over 7 months later, many texts to the Store Manager, a few store visits and nothing has been fixed. When I don't pay the monthly bill in hopes of it being "fixed", ATT calls me every morning around 8:15am ET until I pay it. I have answered a few times, but there is no human on the other end to hear my story, so I give up. The wait time to speak to someone in a foreign country is a joke and I refuse to do it. They threaten to turn off our service when they call. This is something that CANNOT happen as we have a daughter away at college out of state with epilepsy. Every time, I am reassured me that it will all be fixed, so I continue to pay the astronomical bill because who has time to deal with this?? She escalated this to the District Manager in our area back in November when I went into the store to talk to her. I asked that he call me to assure me that he is working on rectifying this situation, of course he never called. I went back into the store in December and was told by the manager that the DM is STILL working on getting access to put in a request to fix our bill which will take some time. How long does it take for a DM to get access?? I don't believe it for a second, this is ATT - I hope you have been IT support that this! Well, our phones were shut off last month, I unwillingly paid the bill in the store to turn them back on and here I am. My hands are tied, we are contracted for three years and I have overpaid by ~$1500 for 7 months of phone service. I feel ATT is stealing from us and there is noone that can help me. What is a customer to do? The Store Manager is lovely and talks me down when I go into the store, but she cannot help me and she is very frustrated herself. The DM seems useless and doesn't care, otherwise he would have called me by now to rectify this situation. I have even emailed the "President's office" FOUR times and have not received a reply. I work full time, I have three children and I serve on several non-profit boards; I do not have time for this, but I also do not want to pay any more. We are contracted for 3 years. I fear if we leave now, I will not get my money back. We are truly stuck and to say I am upset is an understatement. I am currently mailing in a letter of dispute to ATT (why is there no online option?!) And, I will be posting this review anywhere I can, "as the squeaky wheel gets the grease". I do not recommend ATT phone service, and I see many other reviewers here agree.

    Spectrum Store in Latham, NY…read more I had a wonderful (& very helpful!) customer service experience today at Spectrum's store @ 664 New Loudon Rd, in Latham, NY. Mr. Omar McCray took me immediately, was attentive to my concerns regarding my new router equipment and was able to seamlessly access my Spectrum Account resolving both my issue and additional questions. It was my first time meeting Mr. McCray, a Retail Sales Specialist, but the Spectrum store in Latham now has obtained a new loyal and satisfied customer - me! Thank you, Sorelle Brauth

    We've had nothing but trouble from this company ever since we were forced to use their services. I…read moresay torced because we can't not have internet, however we do not have the freedom of choice to choose a different company as our internet provider. This is completely and utterly against the Constitution might I add. We have been long time customers and had a contract start date in august. Anytime there were any cost increases, we were told that they were up to a certain cap, and would only ever occur during our annual billing period. However, right at the very middle of the start of the pandemic in March of 2020, they randomly increased the cost of our services without it being at that point, and after the cap of the highest price that I was told by a representative that I would ever have to pay. We negotiated to have our internet speed increased because we were having intermittent issues in the connection of our internet. No one should ever have buffering past 1995. And yet it is a common daily occurrence for us. We increased our internet speed by a factor of 10 and our internet quality went completely down. We got a spectrum approved modem and updated the Mac address. The representative who was supposed to do this service did not do so and then charged an additional activation fee despite the fact that we had activated to the higher level of internet speed 2 months prior and already paid the activation fee! Another agent waived the fee and refunded it, however we were then told that the modem that we purchased that was on the website, was not good enough and we needed to go get one of theirs from one of their stores and then our internet would no longer have intermittent speed. So we go to the store and get a modem that is spectrum provided. The representative at the store said that everything that needed to be done to activate the modem to our service was completely and utterly finished and all we had to do was hook it up. We get home and we don't have an internet. A fourth 30 minute phone call to spectrum later and we finally do have buffering and laggy pants internet. We are constantly getting messages from all streaming providers saying that the internet is not connecting consistently and we are getting intermittent internet. I do not believe the spectrum robot that tells me that it is not intermittent. After four phone calls I go to call a fifth time when they guaranteed that the internet speed and connection could not possibly be having any issues. They actually have a message that says that they do not have enough people to answer the phone right now probably because everyone is getting this absolutely unethical pack of lies regarding the problems that are happening with the internet speed and connectivity. Case in point a friend of ours had to call spectrum and have them come out three times before they actually found the problem. They kept insisting that there was no problem and yet there was a problem. They just wanted to charge him $50 three times and waste his money. My in-laws also are having the issue of Internet constantly dropping in the middle of the day three times a day. If you have the human right of freedom of Internet choice, please never choose spectrum they are unethical liars who speak as politely and compassionately as possible in order to lie to you and trick you into thinking that everything is okay while being lazy and doing nothing to actually provide the service that you are paying for.. After five phone calls I want my internet price cut in half without any raises for the duration of my time with spectrum as a customer - whether it's one more year or 10 more years I never want the price of my internet to be raised. I have been lied to plenty of times and had to endure through crappy internet speed when my husband and I both work from home! This is absolutely unacceptable and we will not be satisfied unless we have a significant financial guarantee in writing of a reduction of our rate as well as a complete and utter correction of the problem with our internet connectivity and speed.
