My partner used the Request a Quote function and heard back from Carlos shortly thereafter. We were having an issue where a ceiling fan had mysteriously stopped working, but the remote was still working and the battery hadn't died. It was great to note that he charges a fee for coming to check out the problem, but that fee goes towards the job if you choose to go with him. Carlos set a window of 12-2 to come by to check it out and he called me at 1 to confirm that he was 20 minutes out. Loved that, because it gave me time to finish up what I was doing and get ready. He diagnosed the problem and had it fixed in a short time. While he was here, I also had him check on another electrical issue and he confirmed that it needed to be fixed to keep my house safe. He gave me an estimate and said I can call to schedule him. The service was swift, but what I really appreciated was also the conversation. Carlos is Colombian, and speaks multiple languages, and we talked about restaurants and other stuff while he worked. I appreciated this and felt very comfortable with him in my house while I was alone. Company was called out to diagnose electrical issues and assess fire safety after a bang was heard…read morewithin the walls and my oven broke. They scammed me out of $2200 by saying I needed a new electrical panel when it was quite clear (as later diagnosed by the INTERNET PROVIDER) all I actually needed was a call to FPL to have them fix an open neutral wire, which was free, and did fix all the issues. They sent a new dude who hacked my siding and when confronted about it, they promised to fix it twice but no call/no showed. After confronting Robert about their negligence and predatory tactics regarding the unfinished job and the missed open neutral wire, he agreed they must have "missed that" and promised to refund my money over the course of two weeks, but then reneged on that promise and just blocked my calls. The WORST PART of it, was that after replacing the panel they assured me my house was safe and no longer a fire hazard for my kids however when Spectrum came to repair their equipment they advised they wouldn't touch anything as my home was "an extreme fire hazard and in immediate risk of burning down until FPL comes out". FPL confirmed this should have been obvious to any Electeician and was in fact such an extreme fire risk. Don't trust these unprofessional unqualified scammers! After the new panel didn't fix ANYTHING they were gonna have me spend almost $3K more and start ripping up my ceiling, chasing made up problems.
