My ex-husband used a lawyer (Tammy Olsen) from this firm and she was absolutely terrible. After…read moreseeing her work I am not sure how she is able to practise law. She allowed my ex-husband to create 185 point affidavits littered with irrelevant and inappropriate comments about our married life, explicit details of our intimate relations and repetitive ranting. All completely inappropriate for a child custody application! Further, she submitted documents riddled with spelling errors, typos and did not even spell my name or the name of our child correctly. In addition, she did not complete the final divorce document correctly so it was rejected, then allegedly the next divorce document was lost by the court and then she submitted the last one to my lawyer with several new clauses regarding finances that she did not identify and that had not been agreed to. If you would like your divorce to stretch out over 4 years (as ours has) and you would like to spend tens of thousands of dollars trying to get a final divorce judgement then this is a great firm to work with.

I rarely post a review and especially negative- but I feel I have a duty to warn others to not make…read morethe same mistake I did by hiring Richard Hajduk. To start, this guy, talked the talk, and said "he was going to rip my ex a new one" and meanwhile the guy has NO clue about family law, the rules or anything remotely relating to family law. He is an ex civil defender litigator, that got kicked out of that field of law for improper procedures and numerous disagreements with judges. He actually makes more of a living suing other people personally with his numerous actions he has, but he has also been personally sued many times. (hind sight- I find this out much later). Anyway, he lost every single court application/hearing for me, was ill prepared but billed no problem like he had an open p.o.! At $600 bucks per hr!! Long story short, I lost everything, custody, and my life savings. Instead I received a $350,000 bill!! He has literally ruined my life. Buyer beware, stay far away from this crook! I am in the process of applying for legal aide as Im sure I qualify now- I will probably be much better represented by a government appointed lawyer then this goon

If I could give this firm a zero, I would. When we sold our property, Kevin Mah was the lawyer for…read morethe buyer. After we sold the property, there was still a couple months of property tax that was withdrawn out of our account by accident for this property that we didn't even own anymore. I contacted the city but was told that unfortunately they did not have the ability to do reversals so we would need to get the money back from the new owner of the property ourselves. I contacted our realtor who we sold the property through to ask how I'm supposed to do this, do I just show up at her door and ask her to give us our money back? He told me that we needed to contact our lawyer for the sale who would in turn contact the new owners lawyer (Kevin Mah) and get our funds back to us with no hassles, which we did. It's been nearly a year now since we sold and almost that amount of time since we started the process of getting our owed money back from the new buyer, and there's nothing. My lawyer has contacted Kevin Mah numerous times to get this resolved. Initially Kevin made many excuses as to why we couldn't get our money (ex. we didn't prove that we got the carpets cleaned, we didn't prove that we fixed the sump pump, etc) which is a load of BULLSHIT because both he and the new owner have ALL of the receipts of everything that we were required to do. They were provided to them before possession even happened. After my lawyer went back to them and showed them that they had everything already, they stopped responding. Now jump 8 months later and we're still sitting here with no resolution because all Kevin is doing is ignoring any and all attempts from my lawyer to get this issue resolved. Maybe it's because Kevin thinks the amount is too small or he thinks he's not going to make any extra money off of this, but whatever the reason, he did not fulfill his responsibility as a lawyer for this transaction. Or maybe he got the money back from the new owner and just pocketed it, we'll likely never know. Either way, do not use this firm and this lawyer for a purchase or sale of your property if you actually want it done properly and it handled from the beginning to the end, which is HIS JOB.

I hired Doniger to prepare an affidavit and to present this affidavit in court. It took 6…read moreunbelievably stressful weeks to finally get to the point where my matter could be heard in court. These delays occurred because Doniger was unable to ascertain exactly what court she needed to present my affidavit (i.e. Provincial Court or Queen's Bench and jurisdictions issues Edmonton Court or Medicine Hat Court). Doniger was also unable to acquire previous parenting orders that were necessary to complete the affidavit. Doniger also hired a very expensive agent to represent her without telling me first. I didn't give her my consent to do this but she did so anyway. Now she is expecting me to pay for this agent's service. Both the agent and the judge were unclear of exactly what the affidavit was asking for. I was seeking a chasing order to have my children returned from Quebec back to Alberta and nowhere in her affidavit did it mention this. Furthermore, the affidavit was filled with mistakes and it was incomplete as key parenting orders were missing. To make matters worse, she attached a second affidavit to the original on the behalf of my mother. The agent and the judge were both confused why she would include an additional affidavit on the behalf of my mother - this was redundant and it only made things more complicated. Doniger also instructed me and my mother to make the costly and lengthy trip (15 hours return and 1 night in a hotel room) to Medicine Hat so that we could appear in court in person. The agent she hired was confused why we were in Medicine Hat in the first place as he explained to us appearing here in person was completely unnecessary. While my matter was being presented in court I didn't have to comment on anything nor did they need my signature. The court was unable to use the affidavit created by Doniger because it was confusing, contained mistakes, and incomplete and the agent had no choice but to ask the judge to put the matter over to a later date. I paid Doniger $1,500.00 and 6-weeks later she accomplished absolutely nothing for me. Upon my return from my unnecessary road trip from Medicine Hat, Doniger actually had the audacity to ask me for an additional $2,000.00 to revise her original affidavit so she could present it in court. This is when I terminated her services. She also tried to pass the blame on to me by saying that I should have known what courtroom my matter should have been presented in and by saying that it was my responsibility to produce the key documents necessary to complete my affidavit. In a chasing order time is essential; 6-weeks later, I'm no closer to having my matter heard in court compared to the first day I contacted Doniger. My children are now well established in Quebec and the likelihood of having a judge order them back to Alberta are now slim to none. I REGRET HIRING DONIGER AND I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND HER. If you would like a more detailed account of my experience with Doniger, feel free to contact me at jyzuqe@hotmail.com
