I have been using my wife's old tablet a lot lately. Recently, the screen broke (it first made…read moreweird images, then got all pixelated, then finally the tablet wouldn't turn on). We brought it to the mall to see what could be done, and the Best Buy next door pointed us here. The two guys were friendly and suggested that the screen might need to be replaced. They quoted me a price, which seemed high compared to the cost of a new tablet, but there was stuff on this one that I needed so I agreed. I conditioned my approval on the basis that if the new screen wouldn't fix it I didn't want to pay for anything. A couple of days later and they called to say it was fixed. I picked up and brought it home and discovered that most of the screen worked fine but the bottom inch didn't. I talked to them on the phone and they offered to order a new screen. It arrived in a couple of days and they made the switch. The process is somewhat convenient though I wish they had hours later than 7PM during the week. I am pretty busy on the weekends so getting here to drop it off (then pick it up, then drop it off again, then pick it up again) spread the process out a lot longer then I would have liked. They weren't cheap ($160) but they did quote me up front and they were quick and polite.

I can't image why this store doesn't have a better rating. They did an awesome job for me in…read morerepairing my iPhone. I had ATT's warranty company replace the battery in my iPhone 11 and they ended up messing up the screen. Instead of dealing with that hassle a 2nd time, I went next door from the ATT store to FixTeam to see what they could do. Within 20 minutes, Simon and Joe had me walking out of the store with a perfectly functioning phone. They did a bang up job!

(5/14/2021) UPDATE: So my phone came in and I went to pick…read moreit up Friday after work. When I got there, there were 5-6 others in front of my and only one guy working. He was also named Ben, but not the same Ben that I had worked with earlier. One customer clearly had some mental problems and kept walking around asking customers for their opinions on phones, watches, covers, cases, etc. He wanted to buy stuff but didn't have any money, and everything he said was practically yelling. While Ben tried to help him, he also assisted other customers set up their new phones, change plans, etc. Ben also said that their "hotspot" or "wifi" was down (in the Verizon store!) so things were going really slow. It took 60 minutes for Ben to get to me. He had to transfer each of my pictures and contacts individually because the machine that did it automatically had been removed from the store as it was deemed a "security risk." The transfer took another 20 minutes, during which time Ben helped other customers too. I brought a thick book to read and made real progress while waiting. I can't blame Ben. He was multitasking the best he could, helping regular and "difficult" customers in the process, and was dealing with a broken internet connection. All the same, I have been here twice, they were short-staffed twice, and each time took me an hour or more to get the help I needed. If I was dealing with a mall kiosk that would be one thing, but this store boldly proclaims "VERIZON" on the outside and I expect better from them. They get one star for giving me my free phone, and one star for seemingly only hiring people named "Ben." ------------------------------------------ (5/05/2021) My four year old flip phone was not playing nicely with the new 5G network (apparently my phone preferred 3G networks) so I figured it was time for a new one. My wife received an email from Verizon discussing their new, free flip phone so we headed here after dinner one night. There were a couple of other people in the store, and one family (mother/daughter) were there at least 90 minutes upgrading their phones, transferring data, and signing paperwork. There was only one employee when we went- apparently the other called out- though he was helpful and friendly. His name was also Ben, so I wouldn't have expected anything less. We were there almost an hour ourselves and only 3 total people were helped before us. Apparently, timing is everything. They didn't have the phone I wanted but were willing to order it. I hate feeling stupid, and stores with smart phones do that to me. I hate waiting, and this store made me do that. But, thankfully the other Ben and my wife helped me through. And since I might not need to come back for another four years, I guess I will manage...
