Also blood taken on the premises and best of all NO GAP! Never anything to pay. Appointments available including Saturdays, and always try to accommodate. A recent experience was wonderful - the doctor rang me after hours to say he had dome some more research on a particular medication I requested overnight and recommended against it, please come in and see him for an alternative. The receptions were friendly, the waiting area is very neat, clean and spacious and the doctors rooms were comfortable. The doctor and nurse that I had were very nice and thorough however I have one picky thing, which in hindsight is I feel annoyed about. My child had been sick for a few weeks and I was feeling the sleepless nights catching up with me so wasn't all together present. I'd overheard the receptionist say that the doctor and nurse I was seeing were running late for something, a flight perhaps. Though I was really grateful I'd got an appointment the morning I'd booked it I was not so happy to feel rushed through it. I consider myself a fairly efficient person and don't tend to dilly dally around subjects yet I felt we didn't quite have their full attention - the nurse in particular. Saying this I will certainly go back as it's likely this was a one off and my sister has nothing but great things to say about the doctors here. Cammery Medical Practice is open out of hours if you make an appointment before hand. A standard 15 minute consultation costs $75 or $55 of 0-12 year olds. No bulk billing or concessions either except for childhood immunisations, those with DVA Gold Cards or Aged Pension Cards.

Having been discharged today, and having been there for two weeks, I can only say positive things about Alwyn Rehabilitation Hospital. The staff were not only friendly but thoroughly professional. I prefer professionalism to friendly every time, but when you get both then that is a bonus. From maintenance staff to medical staff, everybody, without exception, was completely certain of his or her duties and performed them to the highest standard and always courteously and efficiently. The medical and nursing staff always had time for questions and one never felt rushed or under pressure. Hospital food is always a bit of a running joke among patients but the food at Alwyn is fresh, beautifully prepared, carefully presented and no reasonable requests seem to be too much for the excellent kitchen staff. The physiotherapy staff is alert, keen, highly trained, expertly attuned to individual needs and abundantly clear in their instructions. In fifty-one years of teaching, conducting orchestras, making music and working with people all over the world, I believe I know something about the ways in which organizations work. The best thing I can say about this organization is that I would recommend Alwyn Rehabilitation Hospital to anyone who needs good rehab, strong care, personal attention, professional help and excellent physio. Right now they are renovating so lots of work happening around and builders were everywhere. I can recommend The Day Surgery department. Not sure about the other parts of the hospital but this one was perfectly fine for us.

They do have a Hudson's Coffee on site if you are desperate (not a great taste). The hospital is very easy to navigate if you need to get around. Signage is good, though had to ask around to find the way to the train station at St Leonards which is about 600m away. Um - expensive, but that will depend on what you are going there for. I went for a consultation and it was $220 (ouch!) for literally five minutes. So, you know - scout out pricing before you go or get referred.
