A smoke test showed a bad EGR valve, I had already ordered a metal replacement incase so it were ready and available. Upon waiting to pickup my van, they never called me. So after a few days seeing my car parked on the side street I called to inquire. They informed me they snapped a glow plug off in the head. When I asked what was going to be done, they insisted my 2004 sprinter with 36k miles would be rusted out by the time it needed replaced again and not to worry. Frustrated, I left to think about how to deal with this. 6 miles down the road my EGR valve blew the bottom clamp off, which required me to fix it myself. Later a glow plug shot out of my motor leaving me broken down on the side of the highway. Their incompetence to torque anything down to spec has left me stranded, and looked for a competent mechanic worthy of replacing the head after they damaged it. They want to part in helping to rectify the damage they caused. But don't worry, one of the guys there will tell you he's qualified because he's been building race bikes for 30 years, it would be great if that knowledge translated to Cars but apparently that's not the case at The Gas Station. At the end of December, I put a $10 bill into the lottery machine, the ticket got stuck coming out…read more I notified the only employee there, the guy behind the counter. He told me that the manager would have to get it for me and he took my name and number and said the manager would call me the next morning. I got no call. I went back in the store that afternoon but again the manager was gone. I asked the clerk to call the manager which he did and then he told me that the manager said to come back next week. That is unacceptable. Horrible customer service. So I asked for the number to their corporate office so that I could file a complaint. I called and was given a claim number and told that someone would contact me. After a little over a month, when I hadn't heard from anyone. I called back and was forwarded to a "specialist" who acted like he had no idea who I was or why I was bothering him. When I told him who i was and what I was calling about he said "I KNOW" and told me a letter of resolution had been sent out. I got the letter 2 days later and it basically said that they think i made the whole thing up. I guess they must be hurting for money since they have to steal from their customers. DO NOT GO TO SPEEDWAY. NONE OF THEM HAVE A MANAGER THERE AFTER 3:00 (MUST BE NICE). SHEETZ HAS FOOD 24/7, SPEEDWAY CLOSES THEIR KITCHEN AT LIKE 10:00. IF THEIR LOTTERY MACHINE JAMS, THEY HAVE A MANAGER THERE WHO WILL OPEN IT AND GET YOU YOUR TICKET. MUCH BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE. NEVER AGAIN WILL I GO TO SPEEDWAY.

The shop also carries a wide selection of affordable wines and standard brands. I think I Just found my go-to local beverage stop.

I would feel comfortable going off their recommendations - they have a $20 wine rack smack dab in the center with offerings from everywhere. They have cases of wine in the low teens that they tout. They have shelves in the front of the store with everyday wines like Barefoot, Sutter Home, etc. This is all in a small square corner of a gas station (yes, a 2 pump gas station) on Clifton Blvd right across from Lucky's Market. Don't fret, there is some parking behind the store because it's chaos in the little lot that houses the gas pumps. Glass enclosed cashier area gives you the feel of Cleveland inner-city. Also heard that women get verbally harassed in the late night hours by men who are hanging out on the property. That may sound harsh, but it is not a "bad area". Just an area to be "alert" in. And it is perfectly fine during the day (unless you get hit by a car driving too quickly into the Starbucks across the street). If you are a diehard wine fan, this stop is a MUST Northeast Ohio. For such a small area, I might proclaim it the best overall selection on the West Side (yes, better than Rozi's or Red, Wine & Brew or the various Heinen's or Avon Wine Room). Just because they have a huge selection of extensive serious wines in the $100 - $400 range. Plus they have the selection of the under $10 bottle, plus they have many offerings in the teen range. Worth going in and checking out this eclectic spot!
