This coffee shop was…read morethe perfect stop because it got me out of the Charlotte congestion and also helped me cut my drive almost in half. It is also located in a super cute southern downtown area with quite a few boutiques and local restaurants and bars (also an open container social district). Being downtown I did find the parking a bit challenging at first since this was apparently the place to be mid day Saturday, but I ended I finding parking on the street behind the Main Street. I also noticed a garage that appeared not to be charging as an additional option. The coffee shop itself had a cute patio, and I was pleasantly surprised at how big the place was with ample seating options (tables, couches, coffee bar seating). Since it is fall and I'm a sucker for fall drinks I tried the Maple and Cinnamon Latte with oat milk and added the pumpkin cold foam!!! This drink was full of fall flavor and perfectly balanced! I usually get a small coffee but this was so good I was regretting not getting a larger size! I'll definitely be back on my next pot stop between Greensboro and Charlotte and maybe take some time to explore the nearby shops!

Inside the shop they offer a few seating options including low & high top table stables. There's convenient seating in the main corridor as well. We didn't try any treats during this visit but they have baked goods, chips, and candy for sale. They offered a few Holiday drinks, but I went with the basic hot coffee with French vanilla flavoring . I always add a little cream and this time I needed a little sugar, too. The staff were super friendly and attentive. The resident cats at this location were older cats that couldn't be bothered with us, lol. There was probably only about one kitten that gave us the time of day, the rest of the cats weren't interested in us. Which is okay, we respected their space! We still enjoyed our time, and would definitely visit again if in the area!

I first came across the company at one of the little handicraft markets in South End. Ashera's Chai was super yummy and she also had flavors like German Chocolate Cake(!!). I love supporting local small businesses, so I bought a gift basket for my mom for Christmas, which was adorable - it came with a mug, strainer, tea, etc. Ashera, the owner, also holds themed events... and I'm a SUCKER for a theme! I attended the Ugly Holiday Sweater tea party and the vibes, as the kids say, were immaculate. It was held at a cute craft-making place, AR Workshop. I loved getting to know the other guests as we tried multiple rounds of tea and engaged in trivia and games. It was the perfect rainy day outing. Very hygge!
