I've spent thousands of dollars here. You closing your store for card purchases NOT at the pump means you will no longer be getting my business. BAD BUSINESS DECISION. My cards can only be processed in the store. Did you know that cards issued by the government can't be used at the pumps? if you live in the Western part of San Francisco there are several reason to frequent Speedway. Gasoline prices on the lower end of the SF spread. This station is well kept, and the lines are never excessive. Clean Wash Water for the Glass. Plus signup for the Loyalty program. Speedway & 7 Eleven are owned by the Parent company, and have similar though separate Reward / Loyalty Programs. I will happily come back. 0 stars in reality! What an awful experience! This afternoon at 4:50pm, I stopped to get gas at this Speedway. I know I paid $35 in cash to the cashier. And she gave me the receipt that I requested. But I didn't look at the receipt. When I was filling up, it stopped at $5.00. Then I pulled out the receipt and it said $5.00. So I went back to the cashier and told her that I paid her $35, not $5.00.And then she said she will reset it and when I came out, it read $5.38. And then I went back to tell her that it stopped again after 38 cents. Then she tells me to try the other pump across to mine because the original one is out of order. And I filled up to $26.35. The cashier runs out to tell me that I overfilled by $1.35. I said, "No, I gave you $35 and now I only filled $5.38+$26.35= 31.73. There should be $3.27 left." She claimed that I filled up $5 + $5.38 + $26.35= $36.73. I asked her for those receipts and she can only give me the $5 + $26.35, not the $5.38. She didn't give me back my change of3.65! She just don't know how much money she received and don't know which pumps were out of order! Do not use this gas station even though they sell the cheapest at $3.79/gallon! read more

Express Gas Station on Santiago and 19th Ave is scary. Pump #6 locked my card in there and asked for help from the cashier. She is not helping and horrible attitude. She yell said go wait. And nothing happened. End up, I pull my card out in a hard way. I save it. And went Shell instead. Never go there again. There's other option out there. Good luck. read more

I go here often since it's convenient to my home. I visited today (7/4/2024) and filled up using a debit card. I entered my Speedy Rewards Alt ID (phone number) so I can take advantage of my $.11 discount. I didn't get it. Since this location is a Speedway Express, does anyone know if the discounts apply. Look, the gas is relatively cheap, but this gas station is ridiculous in all kinds of ways, so you might be better off planning ahead and finding cheap gas farther away or outside the city altogether. LANE DESIGN The station itself is at the southwest corner of 19th Avenue and Santiago Street. You can enter from either street, but if you enter from 19th Avenue without first turning onto Santiago, then you're going to be limited to the single pump on east side of the lot. Why? Because there's so little room that they've decided to make everyone park facing south when filling up their tanks. Despite this physical limitation, the gas hoses are the normal ones that don't extend very far, so you have to wait until there's a pump available on the correct side of your car rather than being able either to pull around and come from the other direction or just back into the spot right in front of you. So although they have six pumps total, there are only three that you can use for your particular car, even if the pumps for the other-side tanks are all empty. STATION ATTENDANT The first four times I came here, my experience was fine, albeit annoying because I had to wait a long time. On my fifth visit, there was a sign in the window that said that the station agent was gone and would return in half an hour. Half an hour from when? Really, I can't pay the lower cash price for gas because this place refuses to schedule enough people to cover a lunch shift? It wasn't busy, so I pulled my car away from the pump and waited 15 minutes, but when no one showed, I left. On my sixth visit, I tried to pay the station attendant with a $50 bill. She took a look at it, held it up, and told me that she couldn't break it. I asked her why not. She said she didn't have enough change. I asked her how she knew how much change she would need when I hadn't pumped my gas yet, and she told me that she wouldn't take it. While we were arguing, someone else came, and I let her pay for her gas. She gave the attendant a $20 and two $10 bills. I told the attendant she now had enough change no matter how much or little gas I got, and she still refused to take the fifty. It was getting ridiculous at this point; another person came and paid, and I could see that the attendant wasn't putting the tens or twenties into a safe, so I knew she had plenty of change. After five more minutes of arguing, she said she would accept the fifty but "you better not beg for too much change!" I think I ended up getting around $39 worth of gas. When I came back for my change, she told me, "See! You get so much change!" and I told her to have a nice night and walked off. If you don't accept bills over $20, you should have a sign that says so. Still, when the cash price is cheaper than credit price, places should accept all bills. I don't know what was going on with her, but she was very rude and started yelling almost right away. There won't be a seventh visit. read more

The woman who is behind the cashier doesn't know what is she doing and she is extremely rude and unprofessional. I went to this location on Saturday 10/21/2023 . The owner of this gas station can check the cameras to verify my review. I gave $40 cash to the woman to get gas on number 4. I asked for my receipt. On the recipe there was a tax charge and the total was $38.01. I asked very gently you charged me for tax? She said ommmm let me check and she asked for my receipt back . I was waiting for her to check . Few minutes passed without she saying anything. She was just clicking on the numbers in-front of her . Another lady came in and waited and she asked me what's going on ? I said I don't know she charged me for tax . She said what ? They should not . I said yeah I know . Still I was waiting no response no nothing from the woman behind the cashier. and it was more than 6-7 minutes I was still waiting. Again very gently I said to her if you can't figure it out that's ok , just give me the money back . I need to go . All of a sudden she started yelling " do you want gas or not , do you want gas or not " ? I said why are you yelling? While she was still yelling said " I made a mistake I want to fix it , do you want gas or not ? If you want gas you must wait ". And I replied why you are yelling? I'm glad now after so long you are acknowledging your mistake but I don't understand what is the reason you are angry at me and yelling . I just said if you can not figure it out just give me the money back . She gave me the money and I left to another gas station . This woman needs to get fired immediately! You can't talk to customers like this . This woman is very rude and unprofessional. I'm so sorry for the owner of this place read more

I come here often as I need premium gas in my car and this is the cheapest gas place close to me. However, I usually fill up until it clicks and stops automatically. Two times the gas didn't click & automatically stop leading to significant spillage. The second time I noticed fairly quickly. This is bad for the environment & dangerous. Beyond causing me more money. Beware. Next time waiting until when I think it's full to turn off. Not waiting for a click. read more

New name and signage but otherwise same as previously a Flyers gas station (run-down), then a Mobil gas station (barely there that long) after that. Convenience factor as before since located along 19th Ave/Hwy 101, though there aren't many gas pumps and may have to wait. Prices are competitive to nearby gas stations. read more

Not sure what happened to Lisa. She was fantastic. Friendly, outstanding customer service and always helpful with a smile. I stopped going to Speedway on 19th as the cashiers are not as friendly. They charge more for credit so of course I want to pay with cash. I've tired getting gas here maybe 5 times in the past 3 months and 4 of those times the attendant is gone and a "Bathroom Break" sign is in the booth. And its not like I'm going at 2 AM or something. My last visit was a Sunday evening at 5:30 PM - the station was packed with like 10 cars and 3 people waiting at booth. So I used my credit card and only got $10 instead of $40 and never coming back - their loss. read more
