This Speedway had a 50 minute wait just for a frappe, and the Freal machine was broken.

Leo’s Market and Eatery - View from my seat in the dining area

    Leo’s Market and Eatery

    (20 reviews)

Found this gas station/restaurant on Yelp to try for lunch while in the area. Full disclosure: I…read moredidn't realize it was a gas station until I arrived! But I was intrigued, so figured I'd check it out. Now I had no idea what Leo's offered until I went in. Think gas station/convenience store offering locally made food items, freshly prepared bowls/drinks and kolaches. Second guilty admission: never had a kolache. The nice woman behind the counter helped me choose (they were buy one, get one free)! So I chose one egg and cheese, and one spinach and cheese. They were warmed in an oven while I went to grab a coffee and use the restroom, which was very clean and well-stocked. Pro tip: if you want a latte or another specialty coffee, order at the counter. If you want to make your own, go to the coffee bar. It's less expensive, plus they have a variety of sweeteners, Torani syrups, and assorted creamers (including plant-based). The cash register employee let me know when they were ready to go, and my grand total was less than $6. I picked up a few hot sauce packets from the condiment bar and sat down in the dining area to eat. The kolache itself is essentially a small, light sandwich. The bread was soft, with a hint of sweetness. The egg and cheese combo was perfect for my light lunch! I had a bite of the spinach and cheese kolache before I left, which was even more flavorful and cheesy! Can't wait to have it tomorrow morning. The cafe also features freshly prepared smoothies, coffee drinks, salad/potato/pasta bowls as well as soups, with a rotating soup of the day. There's truly something for every taste. I was really pleased with this fun gas station mash up, and will absolutely drop in again when in the area!

This is a newer gas station in the area and is usually clean. The pumps are in service and still in…read moregood condition. I've noticed that this gas station generally has the lowest-cost gas in the area. I like coming here because the gas pump's functions work, and I've not had any issues paying at the pump. Also, the receipt prints out, so there is no need to go inside, which fewer gas pumps are doing these days. Getting gas here is seamless and reliable. This location is very convenient and is easily accessible.

Wawa - Prepackaged breakfast sandwich station

    Wawa

I've heard tell that a Wawa may be opening in my neighborhood soon so I have been patiently…read morewaiting. BUT I just happened be driving from Indy to Greenfield when this Wawa appeared in the distance and of course I had to pull over. For made to order food items, you put in your order on a screen and a little ticket prints out. Then you go pay at the cashier or self-checkout and come back to wait for your food. I opted for a an iced Carmel macchiato and a bagel with cream cheese. My brother tried the French toast breakfast sandwich. Everything was delicious. I'm glad I heard them announcing to another customer how it works since I'm not sure I would've figured that out on my own. When your order is ready, they'll call out your number. The coffee did come from a different side than the food so you may have to wait at both stations. It was super clean and well organized. There was plenty of parking between the front and the back of the building. But, we noticed there wasn't any seating inside or outside. I didn't interact with employees much since I ordered at the screen and did self checkout, but they were friendly and did a good job explaining how the process worked when making announcements.

I love Wawa! I would suggest ordering their meatball sub, add peppers! I love that they have some…read morepremade options and have a full menu of options for a quick bite to eat. I would also suggest becoming a member to their rewards program through their app, they give discounts and you can redeems points for free items.
