It is the sort of place that feels special the moment you walk in. A lot of people rave about the beautiful space, and quite right too. The shop has a gorgeous, old-world feel in a historic Fountain Square building, plenty of seating, and a lovely outdoor area that is very dog friendly. The staff always boast a delightful disposition that makes you want to smile and enjoy the rest of your day as well. As for the coffee, I love the iced Mayan Mocha. It is like a mocha with a kick and extra flavour depth, and it is absolutely delicious. The dark chocolate, honey, cinnamon, and cayenne give it a little warmth and complexity without losing the joy of a proper iced coffee treat. They also have some really high-end pastries to choose from. I love the lemon loaf, and some of the more complex, unique pastries make it feel a bit more elevated than the average coffee stop. Overall, it is clean, beautiful, welcoming, and always worth the return visit.

Continued to loudly talk on Skype for 30 / 60 min, but if you've been in Helm you know there's no where you could have sat and not heard him. Today I was not welcomed in. Then that same manager and I think the other manager or head roaster were having maybe some dispute that required cussing at the coffee. Usually I would go to the manager owner before but when the issue is because of them. Unfortunate because it's close to our house but it just seems like they really don't like people in general.

My aunt and I have made it a point to stop in every-time we're in Indy, and have never been disappointed. I typically stick to their iced chai, which is very refreshing and one of my favorites. It's pretty much a braided roll mixed with a sticky bun. It had cinnamon in it and a syrup over it. I snacked on that while I was there and finished it in my car. Super tasty! Before I left I got the "beez nutz" latte because I knew I would need help staying awake while driving for three hours. It was a honey latte with a peanut butter cold foam. Also delicious. This feels like a coffee shop where they really try to get to know you and ask how your day is going. Tried their salted caramel latte with house made carmel syrup and it's one of the best lattes I have had! Oat milk is just a personal preference for me, but I thought that attention to detail was great! The space itself is beautiful with tons of greenery inside and a cute outdoor patio. It was pretty crowded when I visited, and a private event was taking up about half the space, so I'd definitely love to come back when all the seating is open to really enjoy the atmosphere. It was refreshing, with hints of lemon alongside the syrup flavors. I think it could have been mixed better, since the top was mostly the Sprite and the bottom was more syrupy. It was also a fairly large drink too. On First Friday when I went, they had a nice open mic night with local artists performing their original work. It's great to see a business to support local talent!

Skosh is like a thrift store with a coffee shop inside it. There are couches and furniture nicely arranged that you can sit on, but that furniture is for sale. So is the clothing that is placed hither and thither. So are the mirrors and paintings all around. You can get something to drink and then kind of just wander around and look at all of the things around the store. A black cat wanders around the store, too! How can it get better? It really can't. Skosh is a must-visit if you're in the Garfield Park neighborhood.
