This place is ok, and better than other Speedways in the area. Customer service is nice and place normally clean.

Tiger Sugar - THAI TEA! MY FAVORITE

So I whipped out my trusty sidekick: GOOGLE! (Cue superhero theme music.) I asked Google to find me drinks nearby, and, as always, it came through like the magical genie it is. Five minutes later, I was pulling up to Tiger Sugar, hydration hero, reporting for duty! When I arrived, I scored a parking spot right in front, already winning! Only one person stood between me and my thirst, but let's be real: I'm so indecisive, I probably gave them time to finish their order and contemplate the meaning of life. I circled that menu like a vulture with commitment issues, but thankfully, the super-friendly lady behind the counter came to my rescue and steered me toward the passion fruit black tea. One sip, and it was a full-blown dance party in my mouth. I'm talking conga lines, disco balls, the works! This drink checked every box, though it was a bit on the sweet side, so next time I'll dial it down a notch. Not that I'm adventurous, I'm absolutely ordering the same thing on my next visit. Change is scary, okay? Go check them out. It's worth the drive to the Greenwood area.

I also don't quite know what I was doing and they were nice enough to walk me thru a few things. They were very helpful and friendly. It's just off Madison Ave near Southport. Photos showed a nice seating area so I gave it a shot. I ordered a Burmese tea and banana bread and both were great and were ready quickly. The tea was very sweet, but a nice treat. I loved all the plants decorating the nice and clean space. And for a fairly small shop, there is really a good variety and amount of seating.

Variety of seating: lounge area, small tables, one large table, and high top tables. Good amount of outlets if you bring a laptop. Because it is Burmese, there are traditional coffee shop options (latte, etc) but also Burmese coffee! They have a baked goods case that was interesting - your avg coffee shop item like croissants and then some Asian cuisine items. They are very friendly. Right now they don't have WiFi but should by next week. I got a plain coffee and it was solid. I added creamer to it since it was a dark roast and I am a baby that only loves light roast Still it was a better dark roast than most. They almost brought the water and then the coffee to my table which is nice. I also love that they are open later than most locally owned coffee shops around here (until 6pm). I'd recommend that folks go! Give them some grace the first few weeks as they get up and running (ex: the WiFi issue just use your phone hotspot if that's an option for now).

Even when the line is long (and it usually is!), it moves quickly, and the staff is always friendly and efficient. The smell of fresh donuts when you walk in alone is worth the trip. If you're craving top-tier pastries or just want to treat yourself, Long's Bakery never disappoints. An easy 5 stars!

The person who took my order had asked me what color flowers and what I wanted written on the cake. So someone had to have remembered me. The employee then told me it was at the Indianapolis location. So we drove another 30 minutes north to their other location, only to be told the cake was not there either and they had no record of it. We drove a total of 2 hours both ways for a cake that did not exist, when they could have simply told us the truth. We missed our daughter's bday dinner. Do not trust Southport bakery for important orders. Sending someone to a distant location knowing their cake was not there is messed up.

I usually order a kids' steamed apple juice and customize it to be warm instead of hot -- and every other store we've visited has always understood exactly what that means. This week, I decided to branch out and try something new for myself -- a grande white mocha with chocolate cold foam and chocolate malt powder. The apple juice was our usual order. Unfortunately, the whole visit left me reconsidering why I came back in the first place. Before my son was born, I boycotted Starbucks for three years. I only came back because this tradition with him felt special. But now I'm seriously thinking about walking away again. First, I was charged an extra $0.50 for chocolate malt powder -- even though they were out of it. No one told me it wasn't available, and no one offered a refund. When I asked, the manager told me I'd have to do it through the app, even though I know the store can handle refunds directly. Second, the apple juice came out steaming hot -- even though it was marked as a kids' drink and customized to be warm. When I politely asked for some ice so my toddler could drink it, the barista responded with a passive-aggressive remark about "there being a toddler option or something" in the app. That's not helpful -- it's condescending. I know how to place an order. Her job is to make it correctly, not comment on it. We still love our Sunday outings -- but if this is the tone and treatment I can expect, there are plenty of other places I can take my son for a treat. A little care and customer service would've made all the difference.
