I've had SO MANY negative encounters with one of the pharmacists in the drive thru. Judging by the…read morereviews I've read, so have others. His attitude is always rude and condescending for no reason. Once I was picking up a prescription in the drive through and he just stared at me with his eyebrows arched like I was crazy. Finally he goes "date of birth??" as if I'm a mind reader and knew what else he wanted me to say. Today I called because my insurance lapsed and I needed help finding a way to afford my medicine. As soon as he answered I knew I wasn't about to get any help but I asked for it anyways. Instead of helping me like many pharmacists have done before, he says "uhhh okay? Have you tried looking online?" I'm so sick of seeing his face and listening to his condescending tone that I hung up and switched pharmacies. If he hates his job so much he then should go work somewhere else. Idk Walgreens hasn't fired him yet.

I handed my lottery ticket to turn it in. He kept talking to the other employee. Then he finally said. What do you want? I told him, I wanted to buy some lines for the lottery. I'm new to the area so I don't know what the name of the local lottery is called. I wanted one line on the power, one line on the mega, and one line on the NC lottery. He rolled his eyes and gave me the tickets without any response. It turned out that it was called Cash 5. This is the rudest interaction I have had anywhere in Charlotte. I'm living in the Cambridge Commons neighborhood and will drive farther to not give this station my money. I was so put off by his horrible attitude that I forgot to see if they had newspapers. So we went over to Food Lion. They were out and told me to go to the gas station. I told them no thank you! The guy there is miserable and rude! The employee asked what he looked like and they stated it was Chris the manager and he should know better. If he's the manager then he needs to be retrained on what customer service is.

I think that BP as a "store" gets a (perhaps warranted) bad rap due to the vast majority of independent owners putting very little resources into the upkeep of their shops. Earp's appears to be the mirror opposite with great facilities and friendly staff. If you're coming into Charlotte from the Stanley County area then Earp's is especially convenient for you with a right turn in and a right turn out. If you're leaving town then I would suggest stopping here rather than somewhere else later because a lot of the convenience stores and gas stations beyond here are a bit sketchy. Staff-wise, Earp's is a breath of fresh air with genuinely happy people behind the counter. The selection of coffee is uncommon for a gas station as well. The only C-store I've seen with a wider array of coffee and tea is perhaps Sheetz (which you won't find within 50 miles of here). With only the Speedway convenience store across the street to compete with at this corner, Earp's is the clear winner. Ive got this place pinned on the map for my couple of trips a week to Albemarle from now on!
