Nice people that work in that store well managed clean not like other stores that's nasty

My issue with these stores that lock up almost ALL of the products is why do they never have staff working around the store to open the cases? I'm aware it's to prevent theft but no matter how much I need or want a product there's a level of inconvenience I'm not willing to tolerate. There was one cashier and a line of 6+ people, was I was supposed to wait for the the ever growing line for that one employee to assist me? I walked around the store 2x and never seen an employee on the sales floor, just a cashier up front. Also some products I need to see the package/read it before committing or even compare it sometimes look up prices or other info so the stress of having to have someone wait while I decide is too much. Also brings a level of discomfort that if things are that bad you shouldn't shop there. Walgreens in general is not my choice or retailer for anything really but I'm sure there's people in this area that rely on them and I hope they find a way to combat theft, hire more people to work the floor and provide a better sense of community. read more

I'll preface this review by the fact that I know the staff in the pharmacy are trying; I really know they're understaffed and struggling. And the store is fine on its own, outside the fact they've locked up ~1/3 of merchandise. I also hate to have to do this to a location so close to our house, but I have been left with no choice since Walgreens doesn't give them what they need to . We live approx. 1.5 blocks from this Walgreens, so I really want to use a neighborhood business. But they make it nearly impossible to trust 1) that they'll even be open, 2) that they'll be able to fill your prescription in a timely manner, and 3) that they are able to help when someone is sick or in need. They don't have the bandwidth or ability to answer the phone, you have to prod them to fill a prescription in person after they claim they were supposed to have them done, which makes customers get back in line once they're done. They're now getting to the point where they aren't open the hours they say they're supposed to. As of today (5/9/24), the Google page for this store says the store itself, not the pharmacy, is temporarily closed, along with the store in Hilltop ~3 miles north. We are unfortunately frequent users of their pharmacy (my wife is essentially homebound due to chronic illness) and the amount of my time they've wasted by not doing their jobs is way more than I have the patience for. But this level of service is unacceptable for a pharmacy that serves low income neighborhoods and folks dependent on transit, that don't have the ability to go somewhere else. If you can, go to St. Anthony Walgreens, or Cub, CVS, Target, or somewhere else. This store, until proven otherwise, cannot be trusted to serve the needs of its clients, and we have no way to hold them accountable for their poor performance. read more

Literally go ANYWHERE else. If your medication is important to you, do not use this Walgreens. If you call, you'll wait 40+ minutes to talk to anyone. If you leave a note about your medication, they won't read it. If you go in person, they won't care about the problems they've caused. Both me and my fiancé have run into multiple problems and they've caused lapses in our medications more than once. Stay away! read more

To be perfectly honest my experience there started out well. The techs helped me by ordering a med that they didn't have in stock. I had had the meds before but they didn't have the proper dosage of pill so filled it with 1/2 dosage pills. I asked and was confirmed that I had a months supply. When I got home I did the math and realized I only had a two week supply. I went over the math with a pharmacist and she looked puzzled. At this point another pharmacist came over and tried to override the math issue. I was starting to get angry and asked for a refund and told them I would get it filled somewhere else. He became very condescending and I said I would file a complaint with the FDA at which he laughed and walked away. I demanded his name which he refused to give. I am waiting for a call from the store manager tomorrow. I almost went over the counter for this prick. read more

'0' stars for the absolute worst / biggest pain-in-the-ass pharmacy with long lines, inconsistent staff, whether drive-thru or in-store.

I have given this pharmacy so many chances. The people who work there (for the most part) are very nice, and I feel terrible for them because I know that they probably don't get paid enough to be there. They are incredibly understaffed, which I assume is Walgreens' fault. The pandemic is over. Hire more people. Your staff seems overworked and underappreciated. I have regularly been left without my daily medications, because for whatever reason the pharmacy isn't filling my prescription. This time it's been over a week and I haven't received any updates or phone calls. There is not a shortage of my medication right now, so there's no reason for them to not be able to fill my prescription. I tried calling, but there were more than three people ahead of me in the phone line for over 20 minutes. Just transfer your prescriptions elsewhere and don't waste your time. read more

This is the absolute worst pharmacy. I waited for 2 hours for a flu shot (30 min in the prescription pick up line just to check in since there wasn't a separate area, then 30 min waiting just for the woman to ask what my name was again and that I hadn't even been checked in, and finally another hour). Also the room where I got my shot was so sketchy and unprofessional - filled with boxes, junk, and unorganized paperwork. Infuriatingly undependable service. I was on the phone for over half an hour, with the bot telling me ,"We're sorry. All our staff is busy attending other customers. Please stay on the line...... There are more than 3 customers ahead of you." So I drove over to the store, only to find out, per a notice on the closed pharmacy curtain, that the pharmacy had closed at 1:30 and would not reopen until tomorrow morning. This is after I had long-standing prescriptions "pending" refill all week, with notification today that the refills had been magically cancelled. One of these prescriptions cannot be stopped. This is not the first time - it's just the final straw. I will go elsewhere. read more

The parking lot is always covered in tons of trash and litter, including right in front of the door, which you have to walk through to get in. If the store can't be bothered to do the basic hygiene of picking up filthy trash, makes me wonder how clean they keep the pharmacy, and food-storage areas of the back room. BUT unlike the older reviews here, I had a *lovely* pharmacy experience -- all staff were professional, kind, speedy, and I witnessed them treating several other customers the same way. I also talked directly with the lead pharmacist and he was wonderful. This was on a Saturday, but... maybe that hot-headed guy others have mentioned has faced consequences for his behavior and is gone? read more

The previous Walgreen's a block away was turned into an auto parts store. Some renovation upgraded this corner and now this newest incarnation has more space a wider parking lot. Far more security as all the Walgreen's now exhibit. A problem with the previous store was parking lot commandos sitting in their vehicles and staring at customers, or even accosting people as the exit the store looking for schedule II drugs, ahh urban living. This store is less cluttered, well organized and clean and friendly helpful employees. The shelves are lower so that those of us who are not the height of a basketball player can easily see the guiding signs. read more

If I could give this place negative stars I would. I've never EVER come across a pharmacy that was so mismanaged and unprofessional. They can't do any auto refills or deliveries because they just can't figure it out and are so behind at all times to even think about it. It takes an average of 2 months for them to figure out how to fill a prescription for me. And this is including the prescriptions I NEED EVERY MONTH TO LIVE. they've given me excuses about an important medication for 2 months only to admit this week that there's a shortage and they have no idea when they'll get more. They could have told me and I would be better able to prepare and look other places but they lied to me. They once delayed filling a prescription for 3 days straight telling me to come back in an hour multiple times only to say the next day by the end of the day. Speaking of going in, the average line time is an hour they are so slow. The Walgreens prescription app is a joke because they can't figure out how to run the pharmacy. Im stuck in a loop where they won't order a prescription for me because it gets flagged as not being covered by insurance, and then they say they'll order it and come back next week. Only for that order to mysteriously disappear with no trace of having ever existed. It's happened 3 times in a row where the app says "action needed call pharmacy" they agree to order it and then just DONT. I don't know if it's just criminally understaffed or the people who work there are actually incompetent. They seem nice but I have no idea what the disconnect is for actually getting anything done. Even the process of transferring my prescriptions away from that pharmacy is delayed because of incompetence. read more

Prescription filling is miserable. Either stand in line 45 min or wait in drive thru 40-60 minutes. Often times prescription not available EVEN after receiving notice prescription is ready. I realize, clearly, they have employee shortages, but I believe worse here than others. read more

Bad Customer Service From A Hot-Headed Pharmacy Manager ======================= I had my prescriptions transferred here from CVS due to insurance changes. Unfortunately, some obsolete ones were also transferred, and they were filled by this pharmacy by mistake instead of the two I actually needed. The next day, I asked for a refund on the unneeded prescriptions. At this point, the pharmacy manager (Mark) promptly lost his cool and became very defensive. He cited "state law" against taking back old meds, and he told me it was the "customer's responsibility" to notice any issues before payment. After I pushed back, he relented, but he firmly told me he would only do so "this one time." He also insisted that it wasn't their fault. Whatever, dude. On the plus side, I contacted Walgreens national customer-service number (tel:1-800-925-4733), and they said the manager was definitely wrong for treating me that way. I was told that his behavior didn't meet their standards. The state law citation was also misleading; they can provide refunds. The customer service rep agreed to take action to prevent something like this from happening again, and she promised that I'd receive a follow-up call from the district manager in a couple days. read more

Worst pharmacy in the neighborhood. The last couple three prescriptions I've had took an average of 72 hours to fill.

Drive-up Pharmacy customer service is always so, so, so very slow - Both pre-COVID and has gotten even worse during COVID.

This is the worst pharmacy I have ever worked with. I wish I could give them 0 stars. The staff is rude. They consistently mess up my prescriptions. They often take several days to fill a prescription. They don't answer the phone when you call to correct a prescription error. I have been using this walgreens for about a year because they are the closest pharmacy to my home and I find the Walgreens app convenient. I think I will save more time if I just drive to a different pharmacy. Very disappointed as my last Walgreens was amazing. Somebody should notify Walgreens corporate of their horrendous service. Not only is it inconvenient and time consuming, there are significant safety hazards related to nonstop prescription errors. read more

If you use this pharmacy, be prepared to wait - in line,when you are there, and on the phone, if you are calling in a prescription. Minimum waiting time is usually about 15 minutes. read more

The staff were not consistently wearing masks. The customers were not all wearing masks despite being required according to a sign on the door and Minneapolis ordinance. The wait inside was long at the pharmacy so I bought the non-pharmaceutical items and went through the drive through so I could at least listen to my stereo. It took the pharmacy assistant 5 minutes to find my prescription, which I knew was done; it is no wonder it took me twenty minutes to get through the line. I won't be going back. I'm giving them two stars instead of one because the pharmacist, who I talked to on the phone earlier in the day, was very helpful. read more

I just moved to the area and was looking for a pharmacy, I have filled with plenty of different Walgreens locations before, but will never return back to this one. Abysmal wait time, poor reduced hours and a filthy store. Not to mention at 6pm on the dot the Pharmacist yelled at everybody in line to leave because they were closing which sparked chaos amongst the customers. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere but here. One note is that this does not appear to be the employees' fault. They appear stressed and are clearly hustling. They could probably double their staff and still not keep up read more

Never have had anything but problems at this Walgreens either with the pharmacy messing something up, taking longer than when you request your prescriptions by (even if you do so multiple days in advance) or the staff just being rude in general. Horrible horrible place. read more

If I could choose 0 stars I would. DO NOT EVER USE THIS PHARMACY. They are completely inept. They will tell you they will contact your doctor to request refills, but they don't. You will get a text saying your prescription is ready for pickup, but when you arrive, it is not ready. Long lines and no real customer service. Save yourself a lot of headache and go anywhere else but here. read more

Talk about the most unorganized pharmacy in america. First off they told me three times within 2 hours that my prescriptions would be ready in 10-15min. And then at the end of it i find out they lost one of the two i brought in to get filled. Might as well close the doors because this isn't the first bad review. read more

OK. This is my first review for anything - ever, but I had to do it to warn everyone. I have to agree with the rest of the reviews, this pharmacy is awful. My doctor called in an urgent medication. I arrived an hour later and they said they hadn't received the order from my doctor. So, I had to leave and call my doctor. Turns out my doctor had called it in - twice. I also had another prescription that I was trying to get refilled. I called the pharmacy three times on it and they never took care of it. The final straw was another issue I was having getting another prescription filled. This time I spoke to the lead pharmacist in person. As someone else said, he was "hot headed". Amazing he can keep his job. I bet he's a great guy to work around. Wow, it is amazing that a place can be this bad on so many levels and still be open. Let's all do the world a favor and quit going there - maybe they'll close and a better place will open in it's place. read more
