Each time, I pull up to a pump (different pump each time, BTW) and it doesn't work. The issues are generally different, but usually have to do with Pay at the Pump. Once, I pulled up to a pump, discovered it didn't work, backed up to the pump behind, to find that one didn't work either. If the gas was cheaper, the issues could be overlooked. It certainly isn't.

I also saw that they have every type of milk, creamer, syrup and toppers you can think of! Great selections. It sold me; I decided to grab a cup of low country coffee for my drive. The egg sandwich was fresh, hot and delicious. No complaints. The staff here was AWESOME! Please pass on that their attitudes made my day. I started everything off right by stopping here. When is in sight, she never says hello, if your of color she acts as though your not there most of the times. When ever she is the cashier, she never exchanges your items or receipt, change to your hand, it's always placed on the counter. This has been going on since Mrs D was there and was reported to her. Last week there was a line the was near the cooler and she came to the door behind where the microwave was and turned around when she saw the line. She finally came out when she saw white man at the end of the line and took him before the next customer in line. She then took about 3 other customers and left the young lady with still about 7 customers. Today, I was the only customer in the store, she got my lottery tickets with an attitude and started ringing them. A young white girl came in and she stop helping me to ring her up and when i said something, she said the company doesn't make money from lottery but made $2.49 from a coke sale. I addressed her in this matter and she clearly stated that my lottery money meant nothing to Refuel. As I am telling her that she is wrong and prejudice, she told me I can take my money elsewhere. This woman is never nice. Her behavior is never pleasant. The employees complain about her and says the complaints are never dealt with. There are several great people that were there left because of her. I need help to understand how and why is she still there. I know that I am not the only person that complains because there are several customers that I have seen at Parkers that says she is the reason why they don't come there anymore. In having a conversation with a white patron, he noted the phone number to call was on the door. He also stated that he says he has complained because of her behavior. I use to love going to this gas station. I stopped at one point because of this and went back because of the people there that are really nice and have great attitudes and great customer service. Today, she took me there where I told her she was mean, prejudice and just a Bitch and for no reason. This gas station is going to loose way more customers if she is not replaced. I was on fumes so didn't have another option really, or I might not have made it in here. My one isolated experience met my needs. The convenience store is tiny and very basic though, so it doesn't have many items from which to choose. Don't forget your FuelRewards card so that you can at least get $.05 off each gallon. That made me feel better about filling up here.

Speedway has plenty of parking if you just need to go into the store, and there's a lot of room between pumps, so it's not cramped and easy to manuver a larger vehicle. Inside, there's an ATM, some prepared gas station style foods (pizza, hot dogs, etc), and a good selection of snacks and other junk for the road. You can even get a F'real milkshake here, which is pretty cool. It's easy to get in or out from both Main Rd. or Savannah Hwy, although traffic often backs up since people turn onto Main Rd. because they don't know about the other entrance. Speedway's your average gas station and nothing special, but it's a good stop on your way down Hwy 17 to Charleston or Savannah or if you're heading down Main Rd. toward Kiawah.

Make sure you enter and exist with the traffic or you'll be stuck forever! Prices are a little more than other locations, but that's because it's so close to town without being downtown. Pumps always work and they usually have music playing to entertain you while you wait. I never have a reason to go inside so I can't comment on those offerings.
