We came in on an unseasonably chilly May morning nursing a bit of a hangover. Krankies was delightfully warm with plenty of seating. I got the Hangover Cure biscuit, which had eggs, fried chicken, bacon, cheese, and gravy on the side. I also got a hot latte and then topped it off with a cinnamon roll. My partner got the sausage, egg, and cheese biscuit with an iced latte. The lattes: go with a flavored one if you grab a coffee here. Their plain latte was not that good but their vanilla latte was very good. Biscuits: WOW! The Hangover Cure is hefty with plenty of biscuit to go around - I had some to take home with me. It was absolutely everything I needed after a night of imbibing with friends. My partner also enjoyed his biscuit. Cinnamon roll: very good! They had a variety of baked goods to choose from. Definitely worth the add. All in all, I think we spent $40, which feels reasonable for the amount and quality of food we received. Definitely worth a stop in if you happen to be in the area.

One of the best parts is how thoughtfully they can make the flights allergy accommodating, so everyone gets to enjoy the experience without missing out. Served on a beautiful wooden board, each pour lets you slow down and savor something different, from silky smooth lattes to rich espresso-forward sips topped with the perfect foam. It's cozy, elevated, and perfect for catch-up dates, work breaks, or a quiet downtown reset. The ability to sample multiple flavors, discover a seasonal favorite, and have it customized to your needs makes this one of the most fun coffee experiences in Winston-Salem.

The live music set the perfect tone for the evening. I ordered an espresso martini and my friend ordered a dirty chai, and both were excellent. The espresso martini was smooth and well-balanced. I then ordered a dirty chai myself and it was cozy, spiced, and comforting. The location adds to the charm--Footnote is connected to Bookmarks, a wonderful bookstore, making it a perfect stop for drinks after browsing. If you love great drinks, live jazz, and a creative atmosphere, this place is a must-visit.

They're located between downtown and Old Salem and fun fact: Sayso serves Black and White Coffee, which is based in Raleigh, NC! I occasionally visit this spot and the times that I've been here never disappoints. The barista has always been welcoming and helpful. What I like about Sayso is that they make their own syrups, which is a bonus for me! They even create special drinks for every season as well. I tried the Jasmine Flash Brew for their Spring '26 menu and it was great! They also carry some local baked goods from Bobby Boy Bakeshop, too.

Being right across from Old Salem, it's location is perfect after a morning walk through the misty history (see what I did there?) Parking on the street is free and usually easy and stress-free (so is their wi-fi). I order the matcha (with almond milk) every time and it's consistently excellent, whether hot or iced. My boyfriend tried the iced Moravian Sugar Cake Latte, and it was absolutely life changing! I am begging the owner to keep this one on the menu year round! Smooth and full of rich cinnamon-sugar flavor that felt both indulgent and comforting. The drinks are always carefully made, beautifully presented with art on the foam and taste just as good as they look. The barista said the flavored syrups are made in house. With great flavors, a welcoming vibe, and consistently high quality, Sayso Coffee has become a place we keep coming back to again and again. The interior is unassuming and not "girly froo-froo" as my son named some other coffee shops. There is a large, open section of seating attached to the coffee bar in which the sunlight pouring in the windows makes you want to sit longer and feel the warm-belly cozy from your coffee. You could definitely have a first date, mom meetup, Sunday book club, card game group, or homework sess. Cool, non-vocal jazz is usually playing and live plants inside are always listening to the happy conversations. I have seen some bakery items also, probably need to get there early for the best selection. I'm always curious of the naming of small businesses. Apparently the term "Say So" implies confidence, self-expression, and speaking up about what you like, which fits well with choosing your favorite drink or having your own taste and style. Love it

The mimosa was light and flavorful without being overpowering. It was a subtle flavor but pleasant. The chocolate was exactly what you'd expect from a chocolate macaron, which was good. It had a rich chocolate flavor but wasn't too heavy. I did walk with it on a warm day, so it began to melt a bit. But overall, it was still enjoyable. My fiancé ordered the ginger cookie. He liked it. It has a crust of sugar on top and had a nice ginger taste. The texture was soft but didn't fall apart easily. The server at the cash register was helpful. We asked what the Santiago dessert was, and he explained thoroughly. He also asked if the macarons could be in the same box instead of assuming. We didn't stay in long enough to get a vibe necessarily, but everyone sitting inside seemed to be at ease and enjoying their time. We will return to try more.
