Unfortunately, that turned out to be completely untrue. After eating here, I became extremely sick -- for several days. The reaction was so severe I thought I might need to go to the hospital. It was clear from the symptoms that I had been glutened. What makes this worse is that I had trusted their reassurance that they understood safe handling and preparation practices. From what I personally observed, cross-contamination was happening everywhere. Employees were hovering directly over food without washing hands or changing gloves. Utensils were being reused between gluten and gluten-free items, and surfaces didn't appear to be cleaned properly between orders. It was honestly a sanitation nightmare, especially for anyone with medical dietary restrictions. Even my kids -- who are not celiac -- were turned off by how unclean everything looked. It's one thing to make a mistake, but to claim that your establishment is safe for gluten-free diners when it's clearly not is misleading and potentially dangerous. I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone who has celiac disease, gluten intolerance, or any kind of food sensitivity. This experience was frightening, disappointing, and completely avoidable if proper food safety practices had been followed.
