I don't know where to start... After a month of searching online for a company that would purchase an engagement ring set, I was disappointed with the fact that I was being MAJORRRRLY low balled by these companies. I eventually ended up listing it on auction sites knowing that these websites such as ebay, idonowidont.com, etc will be charging me 10-15 percent of the transaction as a fee for service. I preferred the route of getting a "direct offer" but I was disappointed in the way they try to "low ball" me and try to make it sound like this is the most you would get everywhere else. I obviously know that I will be losing money when trying to sell a ring back but never did I think that these "direct offer companies" will try to rip me off by 40-50 percent of what I paid for it. I came across speedy diamonds (along with 6 other companies) and I submitted the required info and pics online. To my surprise, Shane responded the very next day with an offer that was by farrrrrr better than anyone else. Let me start by saying that Shane did not provide me with an "offer range" like all the other companies do, he actually provided me with a SOLID offer of the amount that they will pay for it. He gave me an EXACT amount not a "range". Heres an example, other companies will give you an offer and say "we are willing to pay between $10,000 and $16000 (just making up these numbers) for your ring, but we will have to see it first to determine the offer so send us the ring asap". My question is "Really??? such a huge range??? And you want me to send you my ring and take that risk only to find out that most likely you will low ball me and offer me $10,000??? ummmm...NO.. I'm not willing to do that only to find out that I am at your mercy once you receive my ring". I was not willing to deal with that nonsense bait and switch that those companies were doing. Shane came to the rescue and gave me a STRAIGHT UP SOLID OFFER WITH THE EXACT AMOUNT THAT THEY WILL PAY ME obviously assuming the info and pics I submitted to them was accurate. I was confident that everything would check out good with Shane once received because my ring was certified and I had sent him the certificate. I was still soooo skeptical and worried that all this would be a scam. So I went ABOVE AND BEYOND (despite shanes knowledge by the way) to find out whether this company was legitimate. I called the companies that speedy diamond claims to work with and spoke to a few different employees at those companies. I pretended to be a customer looking for a new ring just so I could confirm that everything was legit. Call me psycho but I even had my friend call and I did further research from the Georgia state website. To my surprise, everything checked off good with the people I spoke to. Shane sent me the insured FedEx label along with packaging instructions and my ring was on the way. I was shitting in my pants and the very last moment as I stood in the FedEx office, I considered just turning around and going home. I muscled up and dropped it off and got a receipt from the FedEx office. I called Shane to let him know right away that it was on the way hoping not to get an evil laugh from him telling me that I just got hosed.....LOL. I had a sleepless night that night tossing and turning in bed. I received an email from Shane THE VERY NEXT DAY telling me that the ring was received and everything checked off fine and he requested my bank wire details and confirmed the amount that we agreed on. I was still skeptical at this point being the paranoid person that I was. Shane told me that it may take an extra business day since I submitted the bank details after 12pm EST. However, the funds were received the VERY SAME DAY. I am honestly extremely happy that I came across Shane and Speedy diamonds and I am willing to vouch for them to anyone that wants to reach out to me. I am not a big yelper as you can all see on my account but I told Shane that I will be leaving him a review so here it is.
