I am also fortunate that he's sent me to Laurie's Complete Auto Service every time my car has needed something major done (new brake lines, etc.). The company's motto of honest and trustworthy service rings true every time. My mechanic, Gerry Strum, has always been straightforward with with me, and each time I get my bill, it's less expensive than I'd anticipated. Can't go wrong with that! If you're considering dropping your vehicle off at Laurie's, keep in mind that this little place is: 1. Easy to miss - it's in the same building as Alpine Auto and a tattoo parlor. 2. Always quite busy - if the fix is going to take a few hours, they might not be able to squeeze you in today or tomorrow. 3. Run entirely by the (very adept) mechanics - if you call and get no response, it's because everyone is working away on something. They WILL get back to you, and they're very good at keeping customers updated on the status of the repair. I hope no one from this shop retires any time soon. Can't say enough good things about it.

My family went here for YEARS, but the new ownership will soon ruin that for anyone who used to go here. My son recently brought his car there to have ONE tire *(which he provided, himself) installed and balanced and was charged $57.50, when they only charge $100 for all four. I approached the manager and asked him if this was a mistake and seemed exorbitant and unfair......and he assured me it was not. No respect and unethical. Hope they invested my son's money wisely, as they've seen the last of my family coming to them. No value, no fairness, not returning. I doubt they care much, as their lot is completely jammed up (to the point that you can't find parking) with Auction Direct cars, meaning they are now more interested in flipping cars, than repairing them, anyway.

I didn't appreciate not being kept up to date and I told the receptionist as much. I may have said it was bullshit practice not to keep a customer informed or something along those lines. I wasn't happy. Anyway, she was apparently offended and today, Thursday, the manager calls and gives me shit for being not nice. So to recap: 1-they told me when it would be ready 2-they knew that changed but didn't bother to tell me 3-I call to confirm pick up and THEN they tell me there's a delay 4-the manager then thinks it prudent to call and berate a customer and says he listened to the tape of the call and claims I hung up and swore at her - not so much, but whatever. I told him it's the lack of communication and the poor attitude that's the issue. Is it just me or should they have let me know what's going on? And according to the manager " you have a rental so it's no big deal" seems a bit off. Perhaps keep your customers informed of changes and don't piss them off by being stupid about it. I don't know about the quality of their work but their customer service leaves a lot to be desired. I'll review their work when I finally get my vehicle back.

Further, I replaced that piece myself only 2 years later because it worn from scrapting and had no idea how bad the original job was. The owner refused to show me the invoice , so I went to the shop where part was purchased and got the price. I then went back to the shop and asked owner why the part which cost $167.00 and he billed me $198.00. Owner became very angry. I write this review so people will check there bills and ask to see invoices for parts purchased. This is very poor buisness practice . Anyone else had problems at this buisness.

Bought a brand new car here. Good sales experience. Awful service. Cannot balance brand new tires…read moreand rims. Had to return for re-balance. No apology. Have been getting exhaust fumes in my car since at least december. Dealership failed to properly diagnose at least 2 times. After my diagnosis proved the rear door is not sealing/closing all the way. They were about to work on the driver door when I dropped the car off. Still getting exhaust fumes inhaled by me/passengers every drive. Hybrid battery air intake is also inhaling the road salt, moisture, and cold air nearly directly into the hybrid air intake. The battery will be ruined and the car is worth nothing if moisture and salt is detected past the air intake filter. They will refuse to provide a loaner car even if you tell them you're very concerned about your pregnant wife inhaling these exhaust fumes too. They will not provide you a loaner car after they agree with you that the REAR door is not sealing properly. Currently freezing wet and salty air are entering the car as I write this review. Oregans Toyota Dartmouth has offered zero apologies. Toyota Dartmouth is only interested in your money. They do not care about your safety, health, or your vehicles health. They will face the consequences for ignoring my health concerns. They will be 100% responsible for any salt and moisture found past that hybrid battery air intake filter. This could cause my battery to fail at any time. The dealer will not disclose that they did anything to address the exhaust fume issue after spending a whole day of "diagnosing" the exhaust fume issue. They spent 3 hours with my car on idle, heat on full blast with ac and be excited to tell you that they didnt find any moisture afterwards. When you ask the manager how does this identify the exhaust fumes entering the car ? They will become pissy and rage at you for calling out that they wasted the whole day of diagnosis on something that wouldnt fix the problem. This is after telling them that their corolla hybrid (brand new) had much less wind noise then mine (same car mine just had more km). I told them this at 9am the same day of that service and they dont begin service till 930am. The manager said "you only told us that 6 hours ago". Yeah and you wasted all 6 of those hours on something you knew wouldnt solve the problem. So even after giving them the proper identification that its a wind intrusion problem, they will continue to waste time focusing on diagnosis they know will lead to nothing. Good sales team. Worst auto service in all of canada. My whole family drives Toyota. I love the car. I cannot feel safe driving the car and am reminded of the awful service every time I inhale exhaust fumes. Making me miss my 2014 Honda accord. That car had zero warranty problems for me. The added stress of having to deal with this dealership's service has made me lose all trust in this dealership. I have lost trust in the vehicle itself now that it has been poisoned by this awful service team. I am worried my hybrid battery will be damaged. I am worried I could pass out behind the wheel when I get smoked out with exhaust. If you want your car treated right. This is the last place I would take it for auto service.
