I spoke to Paul about my situation and frustration with another Process Server company that had been hired by my law firm. Two days after i post my Yelp review i suddenly get an email from Paul Miller saying he was sorry for not getting back to me all that time and that he was in the hospital for the last week or so, and that they would serve my documents soon. Really?? So that means absolutely nothing was done for the 9 or 10 days he's had them?? It just seems so convenient that he mustered up the energy to contact me AFTER my Yelp review was posted. But nobody was returning my calls, messages, and emails before this. I simply told him to refer to my previous email that if i did not get any feedback from anyone in the company by 4/9/14 i would get another process server to do it. Someone with a lot more professionalism and sense of urgency. And i did. Credibility is a big deal especially in the legal business!! read more

I've said it before and I'll say it again, hiring a capable Process Server should not be taken lightly. You need someone who recognizes the importance of Court deadlines and is capable of thinking out of the box. As a Paralegal for an Orange County Family Law Attorney, I occasionally find myself needing to locate a Process Server to perform an out-of-county serve. It's always a gamble using someone new because...you just never know who you're gonna get. I contacted Speedy Process Service and spoke to Paul. Paul was pleasant, courteous and obviously very experienced. After our initial consultation, where we discussed the scope of work to be performed as well as his fees, I hired him. Paul's communication skills were top notch. I emailed him the documents (on Friday 3/15) and he sent an immediate confirmation that he had received them. He also informed me when he would be making his first attempt at service. When I got into the office this morning, I had an email stating that service had been executed over the weekend. Paul's fees are more than fair, not only that, because he had a trip planned to the Courthouse anyway, he offered to file the Proofs of Service with the Court FREE OF CHARGE! If I ever find myself needing assistance in his area (Saugus/Santa Clarita/Los Angeles), I will MOST DEFINITELY use Paul again. I'm not terribly familiar with the legal system but over the last few weeks have been forced to learn. I needed a Restraining Order After Hearing (DV-130) to be served on someone that I was sure would try to evade service. I called Paul, he met with me and had the service completed within 2 hours! Not going to lie that I was leery about handing over this responsibility to a total stranger but I relied on Yelp reviews initially, and was comforted by the level of knowledge and awareness of situations like mine that Paul mentioned for making sure my DV-130 got served. From the moment I had my initial contact with Paul he was nothing but exceptionally professional and knowledgeable on the subject matter; he answered every question I had about the service of process procedure with patience and passion. I filed a small case claim against LA City and CalTrans back in February and no sooner had I filed the case than the LA Courts were closed down to the public and LASD suspended their process serving. Fortunately the hearing date was pushed back from early May to early October and since I still needed to make service on the defendants, I searched for a local process server and contacted Paul on a Monday morning. After discussing the challenges of service (City Hall is closed to the public due to the pandemic) he said he could help and we agreed a price for the service and filing the proofs of service with the court. I emailed copies of the small claim and subpoenas over to him on Monday afternoon and the next day he called back to confirm he had successfully served LA City. He explained that he'd also left a voicemail for the CalTrans office and was waiting to hear back from them. Two days later on Thursday, I got an email confirming that he'd also served CalTrans too!
