I took my mom's car in for a smog check and this place was in her area. It was a Saturday and there was one guy ahead of us, but I think other work was being done because it took a while. The man who helped us was very nice, but I wouldn't call it speedy by any means, we waited a long time. There was an office with chairs so we were staying cool despite the hot summer weather. The cost was $55 which I think is standard/responsible. They electronically sent notification to the DMV. All and all we got the job done. read more

Nado helped me pass my smog that initially failed after discovering my daughter lost the gas cap and had been driving around for who knows how long without it and it screwed up the evap system. Nado was very patient and educational told me what do to clear the failed codes and it passed! Thank you Nado and Speedy Smog and we will def be bringing all our cars here in the future! read more

Getting my smog test today was an awesome experience! The person who helped and administrate the test Sonny was very fast and very friendly. I live around the area and I called to ask Saturday morning if there was no wait and he was ready five minutes to start the test after I called. The test took about 15 to 20 mins and will go back for my next test! read more

It's called speedy smog. Typical smog takes 20-30 minutes. I've been here since 10:10am. It's now 11:43am. There was literally no line and the guy has been working on my smog the entire time. PLUS, I keep hearing him grind my clutch, and he had the hardest time putting my truck on the wheel base. On top of that, in the waiting room, random dudes keep walking in asking me weird shit. One guy came in and asked me if there's a football game on today. I said no. He said "oh, you got 8 dollars?". Then, 30 minutes later while I'm trying to take a nap, another dude walks up to me where I'm chillin with my eyes closed and yells "where the hell Joe at?" Like MF I don't work here bro, let me sleep. Anyway, it's now 11:50am and I'm looking for games to play on my phone. Save yourself some time and stay away. Paid $80 to smog my 1994 Toyota pickup. I could've paid $70 somewhere else and still had my Saturday morning. UPDATE 12 noon - I asked him how much longer. He said another half an hour. WHAT THE HELL. read more

This place is AWESOME!!! I have an older car (1998 BMW M3) that always struggles passing inspection. A friend in the industry recommended Nado at Speedy Smog and they were the best. Appointments aren't always necessary which is fortunate because my car failed the first inspection. After a check in with my mechanic my car still wasn't ready for inspection. Nado guided me through the process to get the car properly warmed up to pass and the 3rd time was a charm. Reasonable prices and the re-test was only $20. Friendly, fast, straightforward, professional. On a Friday afternoon near closing time, Genaro checked the car. It wasn't ready for inspection so I got pointers on what to do to get the car ready (I needed to drive the car some more). I was told to come back in the morning. I had to get car smogged at a test only facility and found this place was the closest. I also had an interior door handle that wasn't working and wondered if they could fix this. I had the part I ordered online with me. I thought he'd say no, we don't do that kind of thing here, but he said yes and fixed it for $50. Passed smog and new door handle installed. Couldn't be happier. I don't mean to advertise that they fix all kinds of odd car repairs here, but I happened to luck out this day. Cool waiting room. read more

Their smog machine does not work for older cars(1995). Told me to come back the next week, I called to verify they had correct piece, he said yes. Next day i show up early after waiting 1hr I was told machine wasn't fixed yet, like they were trying to make it work while me waiting there instead of admitting it doesn't work. read more

I called around and out of maybe ten numbers, they offered the best price. They are also honest in stating on their sign that the certificate costs $8.25 (which is the right price) when another shop said that it costs $12. Their professional labor was worth the price that they charged. The test took about 20 minutes. It's nice to know that there is a fair priced Test Only Station around town. read more

Do not go to this business for a smog test. I was quoted $50 for a smog test without the coupon. I had a $10 coupon. My final bill was $50! The technician left my car running in the middle of the parking lot for 10 minutes before pulling it into the garage. It took him three tries to complete the test because he was unable to have my plate recognized. Then he had problems with the computer. I was there for one hour. Unbelievable! read more

Back in April, when I serviced my 2012 Ford Fusion for a synthetic blend oil change at El Cajon Ford, I was told I needed front and back brakes. I was quoted $600.00 for the front brakes and the.same amount for the back brakes. This amount to me seemed extraordinarily High. I discussed this with an old college buddy and he recommended AAA Smog & Repair Center on El Cajon Boulevard. I had utilized this facility in early May to smog my Ford Fusion. The smog check took a total of 5 minutes to complete and of course my car passed with flying colors. Incidentally, the technician at El Cajon Ford had told me to make sure I get both brakes front and back done in May, as I risked the possiblity of damaging the rotors. Needless to say, I wasn't happy about this as shelling out $1,200 for brakes just isn't in my budget right now. I took my vehicle in for brake servicing at AAA Smog & Repair Center on Friday, June 12th, 2026. Mike, who runs the facility quoted me $375.00 maximum for front brake disc replacement. The work was done in about 2 and 1/2 hours, and the total with tax came out to $394.00. Mike inspected my back brakes and told me there is no way that the back brakes need to be replaced right now. As a matter of fact, he told me the back brakes have at least a year's worth of life left in them. And he explained, as we all know, that the front brakes handled about 80% of braking requirements. I left this facility having paid out a total of $394.00 as stated above.Wow!! On a one to five star rating, if I could give this auto repair facility 10 stars I certainly would. Mike and his wonderful crew got the job done in just a couple of hours and didn't try to break the bank. And unlike other facilities (like El Cajon Ford) he doesn't recommend work that doesn't need to be done. Mike is the most honest service technician/manager I have ever met. This is the kind of auto repair facility one finds in small sleepy towns, located far away from the hustle and bustle of the big city. For example, windshield wiper replacement at this facility runs $11.99 per blade in contrast to Discount Tire, who is selling their wiper replacement blades for around $35.00.. Auto Zone comes in at a few dollars less and El Cajon Ford is off the charts for even a simple replacement part such as windshield wiper replacement blades. This price of this one part serves as a metaphor regarding the fact that this facility cares about us customers in charging the fairest priced for parts and labor possible. They truly care about the customer. This auto repair facility has earned my very highest recommendation. As referenced above, they are not out to break the bank And as a matter of fact, Mike and the crew are trying to save the consumer as much money as is humanly possible in this day and age. Additionally, this facility offers DMV registration renewal, allowing the consumer to skip the long lines at the DMV. They also offer body work and basically anything can be done under the hood.The one thing they don't specialize in is oil changes, though the facility will in fact order the oil and filter required if an oil change is absolutely necessary when other work is being done. Let's face it, all companies are in business to make a profit, of course. The problem, with so many companies out there, is that they gouge the customer, to make a huge profit and are charging prices that are probably 500 to 1000 percent above what should be reasonably and morally charged for parts and services way above what most consumers can actually afford. This company is different. They are charging an extremely fair price thereby saving consumers a ton of money that those other huge companies love to just swallow up with their overinflated high end prices. My warmest thanks and "hats off" to Mike and his gallant crew!! I'll be back at this shop for electrical work in August or September. I wholeheartedly recommend everybody out there consider utilizing this auto repair facility before shelling out those big bucks at those other well known large facilities. Thanks again!!

I do not recommend Oil Changers in Lemon Grove…read more After an oil change at their shop, my classic truck began leaking oil all over my driveway. They stripped the oil pan drain plug and then attempted to blame the previous shop (Jiffy Lube), even though that oil change was over six months earlier. After the Jiffy Lube service, I had zero leaks or issues. I took my truck back to Jiffy Lube, and they inspected it. They determined they were not responsible, explaining they use hand tools for drain plugs. In contrast, Oil Changers used an impact tool on my classic truck, which damaged the threads. Instead of properly addressing the issue, they applied sealant in an attempt to stop the leak. As a result, I'm now paying $1,300 out of pocket for a new oil pan, gasket, hardware kit, and labor to repair damage that should never have happened. Very disappointed with how this was handled. If you value your vehicle--especially a classic--I'd think twice before trusting it here.

I was able to use a coupon and saved 10.00 on oil change and not only that before I went to this jiffy lube I tried calling other oil changing business and got no answer from one business and another business wanted double what I paid at jiffy lube. I was really happy with service and all the employees were friendly and working together to take care of my oil change needs. I will definitely recommend this location to friends. Before the service, my underbody cover was not hanging or damaged. Within hours of leaving the shop, the underbody cover came loose while I was driving in FREEWAY! We can see sparks at the back in the car while driving because the metal part dragging the floor so we have to pull over 2x the plastic and metal underbody cover had been torn and was hanging down. I returned to the shop the next day since it's Sunday and they close early. During my first return visit, they replaced the metal cover but didn't properly secure the plastic underbody cover. I left with loose and hanging plastic parts, which was unacceptable. Because of that, I had to return to the shop a second time. They secured the loose plastic underbody cover, but they refused to replace the damaged plastic undercover, telling me there was no manager on site who could approve it. I then contacted Jiffy Lube Guest Relations and opened Case. I was told the District Manager would handle my claim. Despite following up and waiting for a response for 2weeks, I have received no communication and no meaningful resolution from them. I'm not asking for anything unreasonable. I simply want the damaged plastic underbody cover replaced if it was damaged during the service. Instead, I've had to make multiple trips back to the shop, deal with poor communication, and spend my own time trying to get this resolved. The most disappointing part of this experience isn't just the damage it's how the issue has been handled afterward. I hope Jiffy Lube improves its customer service and takes responsibility when customers report problems that occur immediately after service. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Jiffy Lube.

I shopped around for the best price to smog my car. Speedy Smog was DEFINITELY the best price! There was no waiting (no cars ahead of me) and when they did do the smog test, it only took maybe 10 minutes tops! Both Loren and Hunter were very friendly and provided great service! I would definitely recommend them to smog your car. (I was referred to them by my nephew-in-law and I am glad I listed to him. Everyone has a choice of where to go but I feel the best way to choose is a recommendation.... I highly recommend them! Thanks guys! read more

Just had a great experience getting my smog check. I have done this before and most places take advantage of a women (they always think we have no idea about cars!!) The smog tech explained to me in an easy way about the smog process and I felt very comfortable. They have a great attitude and worked really fast, all finished in 15 min. read more

This task was made easy thanks to the inspector. The price was reasonable, the work was done quickly, and the people were helpful. Being somewhat handicapped, I really appreciated their efforts. The only down side was the cramped logistics for parking. But other than that, it was a good experience. read more
