I just started working with this business since I got tired of going to the DMV and wasting over half the day there. (original review: October 2018) 3 stars for employees who are kind and friendly. 0 stars for giving me completely WRONG information. I recently purchased a vehicle on non-op status. I came to Speedy Vehicle Services to pick up a one-day/temporary moving permit in order to take my car to a smog station. The official DMV website states this is FREE and necessary to register a non-op vehicle. So I figured I may pay a small fee for this service here. The employee at the desk insisted I had to pay FULL registration fees on the spot (eg pay them a $50 service fee + DMV vehicle registration fees) BEFORE receiving the FREE one-day moving permit to take it to a smog station. Hmmmm. I may not be from California, but this just didn't sound right to me. I'm glad I didn't take them at their word and found another speedy registration service in a town nearby who made the process seamless and pain free. read more

I was having a hard time at the dmv getting a vehicle registered that the previous owner had let lapse, and Linda and Victoria/Valerie? were so incredibly helpful. They went above and beyond in helping me get the info I needed to proceed with titling and registering a vehicle that had been sold to me with a jumped title, lien and out of date registration, which the dmv didn't bother to tell me. Because of covid and dmv wasn't taking appointments and my son and I didn't want to waste 3-6 hours at the dmv. I needed to transferred title from me to my son. We decided to try a dmv service. We figured their fees was well worth it. We Initially went to another office prior to speedy. Well, we were quotes $700!!! Registration was 135 and transferred title to a family is $15 (dmv) plus what ever the offices was fee which was $35. Of course we left and went to Speedy right after. Paul and his office staff were so professional and courteous. When I told them about our experience at the other place and how much they were going to charge me. They couldn't believe. It was highway robbery. Speedy charged us $200. $135, $15 for dmv Transfer fees plus their service fees which was $50. I appreciated their service and honesty. Thank you Paul. My insurance agent Chris told me about SVR. I had AAA so I decided to go there first; bad idea. After informing them that I was there for a motorcycle transfer, I was seated and 30 minutes later told that I needed to go to the DMV because they couldn't do the transfer and that I needed to go to the DMV and CHP for inspection. Drove to Temecula DMV and the line was several hundred yards long with people waiting to go inside and absolutely no parking... I kept driving. Next stop; Speedy Vehicle Registration! I was greeted by Paul the owner who was very attentive and respectful; he told me they charged twenty for the motorcycle inspection and 50 for the title, registration, transfer fees, etc... 20 minutes later, I was done and out the door! Paul informed me that they're a small business and he appreciated my business. I'll definitely go back when I need to avoid the DMV and the long lines! Strike 1.) Over the phone, the lady told me I needed to get a Smog, in order to transfer the title of a vehicle (Gift) in my name. I went online and did some research myself, and found in fact, I had to pay no fee. Strike 2.) I confirmed with her if I only needed to pay $15.00 when I get there, to which she responded, "Yes, you only need $15.00." - Then when I arrived, she says, "Oh you also need to pay the $50.00 processing fee." - Too LATE, I already only took out the necessary amount from the bank. Strike 3.) She also said "Oh, and you also need to pay the tags." - Again, not disclosing any of that over the phone. Funny, how does she know I need to pay my tags without even looking at my car? The staff was uber friendly. Had me in and out in 10 minutes for a vehicle title change, which is something that would have taken 10 hours (10 days? 10 years?) at the local DMV. There was no wait whatsoever-- I just walked in and strolled right up to the counter. The patient, friendly, and kind staff was incredibly knowledgable about how to correctly fill out the paperwork I brought in and provided step by step instructions on changing the vehicle's title over to a new owner. The fee was $50 on top of what the DMV charges for the service ($15), which is a steal considering I did not have to set foot in the DMV and Speedy Vehicle took care of everything for me (electronic submission, mailing documents, printout of temporary title/registration card, etc.).
