This is a clean, fast go-to for breakfast. Plenty of seating, open dining room with basic diner style tables and booths. Food - Plenty of food! Large portions. My personal favorite indulgence is the "Waffle Royal". Giant Belgian waffle with fresh raspberries, blueberries, strawberries, and bananas with a drizzle of cream. No syrup needed, and the waffle has a great taste in it's self (no bland/card board taste). Ive also had their Benedict platters and those won't disappoint either. If you're a fan of sausage links as your breakfast meat of choice, order theirs! Waitress told us they have it special made for the restaurant and it's REALLY good and good quality. read more

It is a really bad idea to have "not your waitress" deliver the food. The idea is to have the waitress check the ticket to make sure the order is right before bringing it out. This can't be achieved the way you're currently doing it. Also a lot of time is wasted asking if we want hot sauce and taking things off the table that we need. One final point nothing should be on the rim of a plate. No fingerprints, food smears, marks, no condiments. read more

What a DISAPPOINTMENT! My waitress was not very attentive, food tasted awful, it was over salted, and no gloves were used while handling toast. I went to breakfast with my mom, looking for something filling and delicious, boy was I disappointed. When we first arrived to the table, it was sticky! Next, it took about 10 minutes for someone to come over and ask if we wanted coffee. When our waitress finally did come over, her only priority was to serve drinks, to the whole restaurant. Each time we needed her, she was setting up drinks in the back. The food arrived and the home fries were over salted, to the point where you couldn't eat them. The Athenian omelet was over cooked, dry, and the meat tasted terrible. The meat lovers omelet was overly salted, the cheese tasted fake, and was also dry. So we tried to order more toast. When we did, our waitress never used gloves when handling the bread, who know what she touched beforehand! In addition, she never asked how we liked our food. When we asked for our check it took over 15 minutes to get, because our waitress was obsessed with making drinks for the whole restaurant, but not us. Our coffee cups were never refilled. And to top it all off, she gave us back incorrect change-$10 short. This was a disappointing meal. read more

I'm super bummed with this place. I went on Mother's Day. Everything was great. Obviously really busy. I had no issue with food or the waitresses service. What I do have an issue with is, I open my bank account to see I was charged twice I thought nothing of it as maybe it was hold and it wasn't technically posted yet. So I wait until the next day. BOTH transactions are posted. Mind you I went to this location on 5/8. I have a transaction for 5/9 and 5/10 both for the same amount from this place. When I called on 5/12 the lady was super sweet and assure me it would take them a few days to figure it out but they would get back to me. Here it is 5/19 and I've heard nothing back from them. And now have to go through the trouble of disputing it with my bank. The fact that I spent my hard earned money here literally every weekend almost. Came and spent $30 to get charged $60 and you guys did NOTHING about it, really shows how much you care about your customers. You've completely lost me as a customer. And I'll be more than happy to take my business else where ! read more

This place is quick, busy, tasty and great in the pocket. We come here every Sunday for breakfast. The food is always fresh and huge portions. Their waffles or pancakes are excellent. Just the perfect amount of fluffiness and outter crispiness. We've had every waitress in this joint and all have been great. Talk about fast! Came in on a Saturday around 10am. The place was fairly busy, we sat down, got our drinks and ordered our food, and it cane within 10mins. So our total time spent was maybe 30mins. The food was pretty good and the service was pretty basic. I like that they have fruit with most of the meal options and the menu is pretty packed. read more

Everything definitely was speggtacular for sure! Had the steak and eggs for $10.95, along with the norm bread and potatoes, it comes with sautéed mushrooms and fruits which was an added bonus. If you like your steak a little pink (which is normally a medium at most steak houses) make sure to ask for medium rare. The steak is cut thin so it cooks a little prematurely. The steak was of good quality. I decided on hashbrowns instead of having the potatoes and it was made with real shredded potatoes (I know because it tasted like the ones I made at home when I shred my own potatoes), but oddly, I didn't like them when I made it at home and I didn't enjoy them much here either. I prefer the ones at the chain restaurants. We requested to sit outside on their patio which was nice if you don't mind the noise from the traffic on Ulmerton. Service was fast and friendly both times we've been here! Their bathroom was extremely clean. They are also dog friendly on the patio and even brought our dogs some water before we got ours! Which I loved! We will definitely be regulars! Beats IHOP, Dennys and Perkins by far! read more

We were not disappointed! Once again, humbled and happy for following our fellow yelper's advice and reviews. After being house-bound for several weeks (adapting to Lucy, our adopted greyhound) the three of us made the drive from Riverview for Saturday morning breakfast. Lots of room at outside tables and super fast service...everyone friendly, smiling, visiting Lucy. Ordered one special, Greek omelet (it was huge!), home fries, biscuit...very tasty, perfectly made. Also got a custom made breakfast sandwich...asked for two eggs over medium with runny yolks, with bacon and cheese, on ciabatta. Guess what I got?...exactly what I ordered...yeah! Coffee refills kept coming, service was top notch. We loved it and hope to get back soon. Thanks to a great staff. read more

I have come here a couple of times and to be honest everything about this place for breakfast is just kinda below the ok level. Service is very hit or miss with staff sometimes just hanging out and talking or better yet drinking wine on the job. Food is ok at best but does nothing to set itself apart or step up the bar. The people they have busing the tables do a better job of keeping drinks filled and taking orders. This would be a breakfast stop to make if your first five options were filled up... though to be honest even the IHOP next door is better. read more

Edit #2: We went back as promised and it was a complete opposite to my first visit when my family and I walked out. This time our server was attentive and the food was simply amazing. Fresh and I love all the fruit and healthy options. I had the Benedict and the hollandaise sauce was silky smooth. Even dipped my potatoes in them. A lot of places closed at this location but here's hoping this place stays! Edit: Manager reached out to my sister about the server. She was fired. Stopped in today because originally we planned on driving out to Yodders but the Sunshine Skyway bridge southbound was shut down. That should tell you how far my family and I will go for good breakfast. So I check my lovely Yelp app and search for breakfast nearby. This place comes up and we realize, "wow, this place is only a few minutes away." The reviews looked good, the food and menu looked delicious and so we drove on by. The woman who sat us is probably the restaurants only server who makes money. She was nice and sat us right away. Our next server was the reason we walked out. She came to the table a few minutes after we sat down and asked if we wanted coffee. My family doesn't drink coffee but the smoothies and juices looked good-- but we never got there. Our kid accidentally pops a creamer and the look of disgust on this server's face was scary enough to go out on Halloween without a costume and scare the kiddos. She then, without a word walked away. Didn't take our drink order we were in the middle of and instead went to the next table and asked for refills. She then went to the drink station in the back and made the entire table their drinks after angrily blotting her face. We thought, maybe she'd come by after that. Nope, she went to the food window and brought out a tray of food. So we waited again. We thought, maybe she needed to drop off the food first. And then she went to the back of the restaurant. Tired of making excuses for her, we left. Before we got out the door, the nice server noticed us leaving. She asked what happened and "our" server turned to me and looked confused. To clear her confusion I said, "a creamer popped, you got mad, and you never came back to the table." And we left. The nice server who I wish were our server came out and apologized and asked if we'd give them another chance. She said she would let the manager know too. To be honest, I don't know if I'll be back. I suggested the place and I'm embarrassed for doing so. We ended up going to Golden Bear; a local restaurant opened for at least 20 years. Dropped the cars off around the corner for a spa day. Had 2 hours to kill. Walked here so we could enjoy a homemade breakfast. We NEVER go for breakfast so I was super excited. It wasn't busy but it was a Monday morning at 8:15 am. Many people are already at work for the day. There were a few tables already seated. We were seated immediately. The staff was wearing masks. The table was clean and she cleared what we did not need (coffee cups.) Given that it is COVID I would recommend setting the table after the customers are seated. There is no reason for utensils and mugs to sit out when no-one is sitting at the table. I had the biscuit and gravy. It was phenomenal. Tons of meat in it and a nice thick gravy. Country fried steak was the special and was awesome. Staff was very friendly. The place was very clean. The restrooms were also clean. We would return in a heartbeat. LOVED it. Definitely recommend it. Seems to be a local hangout. I love that it isn't the usual waffle place or McD place.... The food is WAY better and YOU deserve to stop in and enjoy. Life is too busy. Slow down enough to treat yourself. :) (4 stars because of the tables already being set when we walked in. Would have been 5 had we of been provided freshly cleaned and placed utensils.) read more
