But it was still severe enough that I needed to be seen. I was on hold for twenty minutes. I finally got an appointment and came in as a new patient. Two hours later. The Assistant "Teri" was extremely rude and condescending and acted like I was wasting everyone's time by being there. Did I not know how to contact one of the urgent care clinics (I did see after that they had these but not open til 1pm). Did I not know that I could get Azo at any drug store? From what I understand this is just to help with the discomfort but doesn't exactly treat anything. Maybe she was having a bad day. I don't know. But I wonder why people go into this line of work if they just diminish your reason for being there?

Lisa is incredibly knowledgeable, genuinely kind, and always honest. She takes the time to listen and explain things clearly, which makes every appointment feel supportive and thorough. The staff here is terrific as well from the friendly reception team to the nurses who do vitals, and the lab staff who keep everything running smoothly. I consistently feel well cared for from start to finish. The clinic is easy to access and there's plenty of parking, which is a huge plus. Overall, this is a place that truly values their patients. After seeing her quite a few times, her bedside manner was consistently lacking. When I wasn't following her guidelines to a T, she referred me to her husband which seems like quite the norm according to other reviews. Her husband was nice enough, but tried to use scare tactics on me about a health issue that he and I were attempting to work on, but wasn't responding to any sort of medication. And he had the audacity to use those scare tactics on me. Let me just reiterate that. I was already feeling discouraged about my health problem and I was going to this provider for help. I was complying, trying multiple medications that I could not afford, doing the lifestyle changes they recommended, and they felt as though I was not taking it seriously and made me feel awful about myself. Every time I saw Sarah after that, she was extremely hostile with me and would not give me the time of day. As a practice they are completely untrustworthy. I have a friend who have brought in their infant and were given the wrong vaccine. I have friends that have also attempted to seek care from this office and also felt like they were not given the time of day or talked down to. Not only does she talk down to patients, Sarah also talks down to the support staff. And like several other reviews, getting a referral sent was a nightmare. And calling to the office is a nightmare. To get to the point, I don't trust these providers and I will never return to Fairhaven Integrative Health and I strongly do not recommend this clinic to anyone.

However, this online bio did not match up to my experience with her. Instead I found I was told what to do and my concerns were disregarded completely. I was quite disappointed by this. I had been receiving care from a different ND doctor for hypothyroid problems, and hormone imbalances for several years. Then,due to insurance changes, I could no longer see that doctor and had to find a new ND doctor. I came to Dr London expecting to have the same experience of being listened to, and tailoring an individualized treatment plan. Unfortunately what I experienced was an approach to testing and treatment of sub-clinical hypothyroidism that was exactly like traditional doctors, and not at all like naturopathic medicine I have experienced. Only TSH and T4 were tested, and when I requested testing of T3 and free T4 as well, I was refused even though I explained my previous provider always monitored that and it was important to me. Reason given was that my TSH "was within normal range" so no further testing needed. Anyone who has sub-clinical hypothyroid issues knows this is not an individualized approach. At this point, I chose to discontinue care with her office due to lack of compatibility with my previous treatment plan. I felt obligated to post this review to help others with thyroid issues who may be looking for a naturopath. I cannot recommend Dr. London for this issue. After this experience, I chose to pay out of pocket to continue care with my previous naturopathic doctor, Dr. Camille Koontz in Bellingham. It's worth every penny. I found Dr. London to be very intelligent and focused, but her philosophy seems to be very traditionally western medicine, not naturopathic, and very controlling with a complete lack of individuality in her approach.

I understand that physicians get behind for a myriad of reasons, but if they are running late, the office should give you a call and let you know so you have the option to reschedule.
