I've done some boxing classes in large groups in the past, but never really got in to the sport as much as I wanted. Life stuff, you know. I've been working out with Spencer at Steele Boxing two days a week for the past six months and I highly recommend him and the facility. The gym contains a fully raised authentic ring w proper ropes to move around in. It also has assorted big punching bags and a proper speed bag. Besides those it also has two full weight rooms with up to date lifting machines and dumbbells. Spencer is an amazing coach who really knows his craft of boxing and kick boxing. He has a calm relaxing demeanor and is able to determine what works best for one's style or needs. Spencer Steele is the real deal. He is an awesome coach who brings vibrant energy to every session. While I always leave dripping in sweat and feeling like I have progressed, I also have a ton of fun doing it. The personalized approach you get from Spencer in a session is far superior to any group class setting and you will get much better, much sooner, as a result. If/ when your session overlaps with another person you will get the chance to move around with another student at a pace you're comfortable with- Whether that is sparring or more controlled sparring-like games/ drills. If you're ever curious if Spencer has real chops himself, ask him to move around with you a bit. You'll feel silly for having asked shortly thereafter ;). i started working with spencer at the beginning of the year and have had 11 great workouts with him. i've never taken boxing lessons before so i'm pretty bad...i'm still pretty bad but not cuz of spencer, more so because boxing is really hard and requires repetition. i'm gonna keep working with him because he's great, i'm learning, i'm having fun and it's a good workout. that being said i don't know how spencer is compared to other boxing instructors but i don't plan on looking for a new one so take it as you will ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ read more
