I came right when it open so there was no line or anything, which was nice. The restaurant is really nice and clean and spacious. There's a few newspaper clippings of it being the Michelin star so you can look at. You basically order first and then you just wait for your number to be called to grab food. The food took a little longer than I expected considering it just open and there was no one else there. I ordered the famous soya sauce chicken worth noodles instead of rice and a side of the egg. They also have a side bar of jalapenos and hot sauce. The dish looks very simple but the complexity is in the flavor and texture. The chicken was tender and juicy. The thin egg noodle was chewy. Both was good and had it's own flavor. However, what made this dish a Michelin star dish is the soya sauce. That sauce brought the entire dish together. It was so good and enhance all the components. I could have just eaten the sauce on it's own or just use that sauce for everything. The egg was just standard, nothing special. What's nice was that the entire meal was $10 Overall, definitely a place you should visit to try. The original place is in Singapore but this is the next best thing.

Reviewing on its own, it'd probably get 4*s, but it's hard to do that since most people are coming here based on its affiliation with the Singapore original location. Given that, I can at most give it 3*s. My partner and I ordered one order of the soya chicken and one order of the toasted (crispy) pork. The following observations apply to both dishes. Both dishes were delicious and something I'd be happy with if I got them at a random Chinese restaurant in Chinatown, but somewhat of a disappointment when considering the hawker Chan name into account. The ratio of rice to meat was quite poor, you got way too much rice compared to meat. The interior was really clean and rather large. They had the left section of the restaurant roped off as of they were expecting huge crowds (which may have been true when they first opened), when in reality only 10% of the tables had people. Kind of sad quite really. In conclusion, the other reviews of the place are pretty spot on, you'd only come here to say you've been to a Michelin starred place, even though you know that's a huge stretch. So just know what you're getting into when you come.

I was super impressed when we found Silver Chopsticks in Werribee. It has become our go to Chinese restaurant close to home. The food is always fresh and tasty. Some of our favourite dishes are the steamed home made Dim Sims which I think rival what you an get at Sth Melbourne Market. The Pork spare ribs in Mongolian sauce, melt in your mouth pork with a great sauce. For a healthy dinner the chicken and cashew nuts with some added Chinese mushrooms is a treat. Silver Chopsticks does both sit down and take away (pick up) which adds to the flexibility. The staff are friendly and generally attentive. We have had one experience where they were super busy that we got a little left out and ended up with quite a long wait for food. Silver Chopsticks also do a Chinese New Year banquet do with Lion dancers and fireworks. Great fun!

The service was great our waiters helped us accommodate a disability within my family and recommended us some great dishes. However, the restaurant is upstairs and the elevator was broken, which made it difficult for us to get up. The food: -Seafood fried rice: Really flavorful, with generous portions of dried scallop and crab. The rice was cooked just right and the serving was big enough that for a party of 3, we had quite a bit leftover. -Snow pea leaves in garlic: A favorite vegetable of mine, and this was cooked in an amazing garlic-y soup!! Such a clean and delicious dish -Egg tofu: This was my first time having egg tofu and they were so silky and smooth. They look a bit like scallop and are served with a good amount of broccoli and mushrooms! However this was my latest sample of the many fine Vietnamese/Chinese restaurants around here and I must say that it was pretty good. They don't serve alcohol, but they do have delicious smoothies on their menu, as well as a free pot of Chinese tea with your order (which I think is really cool). The meal came out relatively prompty, and was really filling. I would personally highly recommend this place, even if only for the smoothie.
