I am more than satisfied with the Spielberger Law Group. In my case everything turned out in my favor. I believe even if it hadn't, I would still feel the same way. Because they work on contingency they can't take a case just because you think you have one, they take them if they think they can help you (win). Would you work for a stranger for free? I had an EXTREMELY hard time getting anyone to take me as a client, even after EEOC said I had a case. What I found, was their intake specialist (whom was wonderful, and name alludes me (my apologies) asked the pertinent questions that actually got to the core of what they could work with. Which is why we seek their help to begin with. There's a reason they say the bar exam is difficult to pass. So you have to be honest with yourself, is the way you were treated unlawful, or is it just someone being an a**hole. Unfortunately, being an a**hole isn't against the law. My lawyer Gary Martoccio, and his intake specialist were empathetic, and real. Gary outwardly expressed that although you can't put a price tag on what you may have lost monetarily and emotionally, he lets you know what realistically is going to deliver the hardest punch. But, he also heard me out on my thoughts and what I thought may be a possibility. There was constant communication even when I thought I understood something only to call back 5 minutes later and ask the same question a different way. One of the biggest things I left with was the ultimate compliment, Gary said he was impressed with the work I put into getting my voice heard and that I definitely did that. Because of what I experienced, I was left pretty beat down, by him saying that to me he let me know I can and should believe in myself again. called due being retaliation by my employer over the past four years, ADA accommodations (which they have admitted to being out of compliance with state law and requirements for the past four years), and write ups for reporting fraud. This Law Firm said that they would reach back and discuss the case. According to the person I spoke with on the phone just now, she stated that they sent me back an email and claimed that they weren't able to take the only because I was still employed. What is the point of being an employment law firm if you're not gonna even help people just because they're employed? so your going to allow employees to have their rights violated just as long as they're still employed? would not recommend this behavior or this law firm! read more

Service the issue I had occurred due to being written up while out on FMLA. This wonderful firm (NOT) allowed the former employer to have the violation downplayed to an ADA violation, "which I Never spoke of." Thus I no longer had a case! Quality and respect are practically nonexistent. I was sitting alone in the EEOC office meanwhile HR was there lawyered up. Value I later found myself being shorted payroll hours. Called this firm. As soon as the rep verified they were based out of FL, I hung up. Signed with firm after assurance that I had a good case and that they would not accept a case unless it was winable. Not long after my case was started my original attorney was replaced with one that did not seem as interested or helpful. The EEOC sent my claim to a new office in Florida. After that I pretty much heard nothing. I have since consulted another attorney who stated that three others have recently consulted her with nearly identical results from Spielberger Law Group. My case file is very thin with very little negotiation done on my case. We were told that the time to negotiate a settlement is with the EEOC. With their supportive efforts matched by a competent, hard working, advocate for the client attorney most claims are settled during this time. However the EEOC will only work as hard as the attorney is willing to work. In my case, it appears only one attempt was made and then the case languished for nearly a year with little to no attention. Mr. Cua, attorney at that time became interested it seemed in clearing a backlog of client cases that had languished and became stagnant. I am not in the know at how this entire process works, but the attorney encouraged requesting a right to sue from the EEOC and let the Spielberger Law Group try to negotiate a settlement. I had repeatedly asked if Mr. Cua understood that the employer had a pit bull attorney and was he matching that level in his responses. Of course 100% yes. Well there are no copies in my case file of any of the negotiation back and forth efforts and apparently the employer and his attorney had dug in their heels and max settlement was $3,000.00 After over a year and very little documentation in my case file, my case was closed and I was encouraged to file suit with little time left to pursue that. Consulting with other attorneys, I am told this is the outcome for most cases the law Group takes on. Which makes one wonder what this group is really about and why they purposefully lead clients on until there is zero momentum to the case and virtually any hope of a settlement is gone. This totally debunking the statements of Spielberger Law Group about their successful case resolutions and settlements, attributing these outcomes to the firm's diligent work. Pursuing a lawsuit now I have been told would basically cost me more than I would ever receive. The time to press hard in negotiations was in the beginning, not over a year later. Now its very obvious and almost laughable, if not so disappointing, that the other side had the pit bull attorney and knew Spielberger Law Group was not in any way in their league or able to exert any effort in the negotiation process. Bottom line I wish I had never believed in or signed with Spielberger Law Group, instead going with this final attorney I consulted with who mapped out how the entire process SHOULD have progressed and the time frame of the case, while also showing the opportunities missed in my case by Spielberger Law Group. Also mentioning the others that consulted with her after being dumped by Spielberger Law Group. The firm did not in any way exhibit what they professed in the beginning that they offer their clients understanding and supportive approach, during challenging times while seeking justice for their clients. Their website was 1st on the list when I did a Google search for workplace discrimination(probably paid Google to promote their website). I typed in everything that happens in the Contact Us form because that's what the website says if I have discrimination. I was then contacted by the Client Relation Rep via email to call them to talk with an intake specialist even though I submitted everything they needed before (I doubt they even read anything at all). I told her what they needed since they had everything, and I just wanted to know if I had a case before we proceeded. She insisted that I must call, so I called, but it turned out that they don't handle discrimination cases during the interview. Save your money and hire a REAL lawyer/law firm! I hired then fired Spielberger in less than a 24 hr time frame. NO JOKE! Spielberger did not do (nor were they willing to do) anything for me that I hadnt already done for myself! The attorney assigned (G.K.) never called to speak with me one single time. I only heard from her paralegal. I used to be a paralegal so I almost immediately sensed the BS. My employer's legal dept actually found it amusing that I retained these fools and actually told them they werent interested in negotiating with them. The paralegal called me and said "your jobs Legal dept said theyre not interested in dealing with us" then said "sorry, but theres not anything else we can do". So I fired them, then called my former employer's legal dept back and re-negotiated a settlement on my own. UPDATE 7/31/18: I got an email from the owner of the law firm threatening to sue me for slander if I didnt remove my "they're scammers" comment! Dude cant even spell LIBEL correctly. However, I'll rephrase and simply re-state that they reviewed my case, said they could get me more money, took my money (retainer), then said "sorry, there's nothing we can do". All the 252 reviews on the their web site are all 5 Stars. Who can be that perfect? Major "RED FLAG". I wish I had done my research on Spielberger Law Group. I was told that they would take my case on a wrongful termination. And that they normally never do that. Unless they are sure you have a good case. I told them that I wanted 24 hours to think about it. I got 5 calls within 2 hours after my conversation with them. They kept emphasizing how strong my case was. And I would pay nothing if they lost. As stated by many of the other reviewers, my dealings were just as bad. The attorney given to me very rarely contacted me. As others indicated that they did most of the work. Was very true in my case. Most of the work was giving the EEOC what they requested. So that they could set up a mediation. Spading over a year I had 2 mediations. In both instances I came off looking foolish. The 2nd mediation took less than five minutes to conclude. That I might have a case. But they the EEOC would not get involved. That was when I was told I would need to pay them to represent me in court. Or someone else. Scammers? I think that may be a very valid description. It was very apparent that they wanted a quick buck for virtually doing nothing. And that was exactly what they did. I was stringed along thinking that the would represent me in court if it came to that. But was in fact left out to dry. It did cost me time. My husband was wrongfully terminated while he was on short-term disability. Spielberger gladly took his case and the $350 retainer. My husband did all the write-ups on his case and they didn't make any edits themselves. The law group repeatedly told my husband that his previous employer had not responded to any of their inquiries. 15 months later, we find out we have the right to sue from the EEOC, but Spielberger tells us that they don't go to court and give him a website link to find a new lawyer. So what, we now have to pay another retainer fee with only one month left before the right to sue expires? How can you be a law firm and not go to court??
