I had an EXTREMELY hard time getting anyone to take me as a client, even after EEOC said I had a case. What I found, was their intake specialist (whom was wonderful, and name alludes me (my apologies) asked the pertinent questions that actually got to the core of what they could work with. Which is why we seek their help to begin with. There's a reason they say the bar exam is difficult to pass. So you have to be honest with yourself, is the way you were treated unlawful, or is it just someone being an a**hole. Unfortunately, being an a**hole isn't against the law. My lawyer Gary Martoccio, and his intake specialist were empathetic, and real. Gary outwardly expressed that although you can't put a price tag on what you may have lost monetarily and emotionally, he lets you know what realistically is going to deliver the hardest punch. But, he also heard me out on my thoughts and what I thought may be a possibility. There was constant communication even when I thought I understood something only to call back 5 minutes later and ask the same question a different way. One of the biggest things I left with was the ultimate compliment, Gary said he was impressed with the work I put into getting my voice heard and that I definitely did that. Because of what I experienced, I was left pretty beat down, by him saying that to me he let me know I can and should believe in myself again. His intake specialist renewed my faith with the age old question "Can't we all just get along?" Which by the way is yes. Most importantly, they gave ME back to my girls. While that previous experience was not horrible, there definitely were mistakes made and misinformation shared. Working with this firm I feel like I have been kept up to date with the status of my case and every decision is ran by me. More importantly, I truly feel my attorney has my best interest. I know what you're thinking and you're probably right to an extent, but they too deserve to be compensated for their work. Nothing in this world is free (and if it is you're the product)! Anytime I have called the firm, which admittedly is not often (I'm bad at this), I have been able to speak with my attorney or get a call back in a timely matter. At the start of this whole ordeal I was receiving a lot of calls about my case from the insurance agencies.
